Drying and processing loofah sponges indoors

I’ve been experimenting with drying and processing loofah this year since it’s my first time growing it.
I brought almost 30 indoors before our first freeze and have been attempting to dry them out which has been hit-or-miss but I’ve gotten a useable sponge from every one so far and I’ve learned a lot.
Here are some of the things I have learned about the drying process and determining when to peel them.

I just bust mine open and dry them washed and naked - Michigan 6b and it’s actually my favorite harvest, you see the frost forecast and you get all your feelings out stomping the meat out of the green loofahs. ❤

What do you co to the seeds to preserve them for planting next season? This is my first year growing!

@@ddsisson just let them dry out a few days and store them in a cool dry place.
