This truly breaks my heart in so many different ways and does make me feel more protective over our boys. They deserve the world - and I hope they can feel the love and support that ARMY gives them.
I love you guys and thanks for crying right along with me.

Let's be real, War of Hormones wasn't misogynistic. It was just an honest song about what guys in that age range go through. They were straight up saying that they struggle with their hormones when they see a pretty girl, and guess what? That's just being honest. The title itself gives a clear idea to how they see it. A war. An internal conflict. And it's true to what guys in their late teens and early 20s go through. Bangtan has always been about talking about their experiences and being a voice of people their age.
The entire album, Dark & Wild, was really just about the turmoils of young adulthood. In the title of the album too, you can already tell what the sentiment was going to be. The first 3 albums spoke about school and issues of teens. And then from there, the darker days of coming to terms with adulthood. And then the HYYH series. Everything was thematic with stories they wanted to tell as they go through life.
Antis and fans of other groups were just grasping at straws to find something to shit on and unfortunately the media picked up on it and then some ARMY took it as truth and they themselves started talking as if the song was offensive. It isn't. We need to stop spreading this story as if BTS were misogynistic boys who needed to learn a lesson. Yes, Namjoon has learned a lot from the experience and has gone out of his way to speak to experts in women's studies, but I'm sure that whole ordeal also caused him unnecessary pain.

Yes all other kpop groups does this concepts , none of them gets hate.

I feel like the reason the Hamburger incident gets to so many people is because it was the same type of petty elementary school bullying that everyone has gone through at some point, and the age difference between him and everyone else just made it hurt more (these guys were all about twice his age, he was still 18, he wasn't used to that kind of negativity because his hyungs are usually there to stand up for him, he was extremely shy at the time, AND it was his first time being on TV alone). It's like when you're a kid trying to hang out with the "cool older kids" in elementary and the absolute crushing disappointment when they make fun of you for something you thought was good about yourself.

About "war of harmone" & misogynist lyrics bullsh*t:
I don't see anything wrong with the lyrics of the song. All boys go through puberty and the things BTS sung in this are just reflective of their experience going through that phase in their lives. This is the reason I love them and their songs.. they didn't hide anything and covered all the feelings/thoughts of a person who is in his/her adolescent...one can see them growing up from then till today…I personally don't find the lyrics offensive and “most” Armys as well..as I agree they are expressing the struggles of dealing with hormonal changes in adolescence, and I'm sorry but sexual attraction is the number one pressing issue in most hormonal teens regardless of gender. There's a couple of issues I take with people who found this offensive. First, the double standard. You can't tell me young women were purely innocent in their thoughts and feelings as they watched these young men dance and sing, they just didn't make a song about it, at least not publicly. Secondly, the entire concept BigHit wanted from BTS is a representation of the youth culture and the issues youth deal with as seen and heard through the lyrics and music of BTS, and of course everyone has or will experience sexual attraction. Yes, they refer to see through clothing and high heels etc, but I've seen hundreds of posts referring to JK's abs, Jimin's body rolls and shoulder "accidents" Tae's tongue...you get the idea, and while many comments aren't necessarily teens it's not a problem. There can only be an issue if the lyrics were implying that I'm only attracted to girls who wear heels and sheer clothing, not sneakers and sweats. Anyone who has experienced adolescence knows however that if they're sexually attracted to someone the person could easily walk around in a potato sack and an adolescent would still be entranced.
A lot of people were offended by that line, "Girls are equations and us men just do them". Personally, I took it as "do them" meant they were puzzles to be solved, not a sexual act. RM was honestly shocked that people were offended by the lyrics and that they could be considered misogynistic. It was definitely a learning experience for him. He apologized and has since run his lyrics through a few professionals in women's studies before releasing a new song. They don't really release songs like this any more. But to that a korean Army said translation in English were a bit off, which lead to misunderstandings and explained it saying : “I was kinda surprised it's translation was "do" because that part "do them" CAN actually sound offensive to some people, because the meaning of that word 'do' is not clear. However I can clearly say that it's not meant that way, and Korean version lyrics tell that. Words are more specific, and not controversial in Korean version lyrics, because it doesn't say 'do. That part in Korean is 여자들은 방정식 우리 남자들은 해 which says we men are 해 is a word for mathematics, and it means the 'answer/the final number'. So it means they solve. the complex minds of the girls. 해 DOES have the meaning of 'do' too, but its not appropriate to translate this part of the lyrics that way, because if u say it means "do them, it doesn't fit the sentence there. Since there's no Objectives for that Verb 'do' and that's... kinda awkward. plus. the context and meaning of the whole sentence is talking abt mathematics and Equations so what u said is true. It doesn't mean sexual way”
BTS hv made few mistakes unknowingly early in their career and said things which can be considered offensive, as they were young but they hv re-educated themselves, apologized and never repeated the mistakes again..but I hv seen many k-popies and so called Multi Armys twisting many things because of that..take for example this song.. it's blown out of the proportion just to cause drama..and they were sadly successful in that..haters/antis tried every lil thing to bring BTS down & sabotage their career ngl..

Ah, the Jungkook/Flower Crew issue - remember he was still 18 years old at that time, it was his first time on a show by himself, without any of his hyungs, and he was a pretty sheltered and naive boy at that time (yes, he was used to hard work that would have flattened an adult man, but the six other members were used to shielding him from the nastiness of other people). His little face, so bewildered, then sad, it breaks my heart every time I see it - I hate bullies.
Tae was really close to his grandma, his parents were poor farmers and he was raised by her for about 14 years - he only made the announcement because fans saw he was down and kept asking what was wrong - he was genuinely devastated, the poor boy was so heartbroken 💔

Only correction, Vs parents were not farmers. There are a number of mistakes in that Who is BTS video. Enough of us complained till he changed some inaccuracies in his update but he didn't change that one. V's parents worked in the city during the week and he lived with his grandparents (along with some other cousins and siblings who came and went) during the week. His grandparents owned a farm so that's why he was at a farm. His parents would come and get him each weekend. His father made enough money to buy him a Swiss watch early in his career and travel overseas. He also owned a garmet business and was fashionable. He wasn't poor.

I believe there are 3 really big music labels in Korea which has owned and ruled the music industry. Korea music industry is like politics, they have a big impact in their society so knowing that a nobody, small music industry had boys coming up so fast and successfully threatened everyone in the music industry and all the die hard fans of other groups in their groups they so loved for so many years... it could be alot for others to believe or understand. Alot of these die hard fans or trolls would do anything to try and take down BTS and their company. Only til now with their success I feel some have finally either gave in or understand and respect them as artists. They have definitely paved the way and though their are still alot of haters, our boys have risen and learned to get over it... they are at a point where they know they have more confidence then to go back to all these negativities that held that back and put them down back then. Hence why I feel they are so successful. The hunger to fight and prove others/haters who never believed in them/looked down on them is a really good reason why I feel why they are so successful!

I noticed that the mention of Yoongi’s struggles with mental health hit you, but if you listen to his mixtapes it’ll hit much harder because he really goes into his struggles with depression and anxiety. On the “misogyny” issue, they are referring to Boy in Love and War of Hormone. I wonder if the word misogyny isn’t being slightly misused. The word means dislike of, contempt for or prejudice against women. The lyrics of these songs show no contempt imo, although they do objectify women to an extent (nothing like hip hop lyrics in the west tho!!). They describe the typical teenage boy/young man, and how they become flustered (euphemism) around girls - they sing about loving high heels, and how girls are perfect from the front and the back…🤷‍♂️😂 These thoughts and feelings are fairly typical for both boys and girls in their mid to late teens - I remember being dazzled by a boy (he didn’t know I existed 😂) because of how he looked in faded, soft blue jeans - and I haven’t changed as much as I thought, I go weak still when I see Jimin or Jungkook in slim-fitted jeans 🙈 So they were being authentic - but I guess it’s not PC…

Well now you know some (not even all the incidents and it continues today with Billboard being so bad to them) of the reasons Army gets so insanely protective of them. Baby JK and Tae crying over his grandma (who raised him, his parents had to leave him with his grandparents because they had to work in another city and were poor, and he was intensely close to both of them but especially his grandma, he’s now bought his parents and siblings a beautiful high end apartment in Seoul) hurts so badly. The whole show they didn’t get told they were dropped from when RM was injured, they had to come out to calm Army down and you can see how pissed they are. RM and JHope getting years of hate for their looks.. both beyond attractive and stunningly beautiful souls gets me full protective mom mode. But now you know. I don’t enjoy rewatching this but I feel the need to be here in solidarity with you. The boys mostly respond to all this by working harder and putting their feelings into their music, ie the rap Cyphers and RM and Suga get very angry in their first solo mixtapes. Now they rise above and Army is karma and we support them more because of this. We work hard to chart them etc. Sadly they are doing some of the same things to BTSs younger brother group TXT who are getting bad treatment on shows etc. even doing such things last month.

This was because BTS did not belong to the established companies in the industry, the Big 3. No group rose to the top or won awards from outside these 3 companies.
So being underdogs and outsiders, seen as threats to their monopoly they were sidelined by media and industry. The fandoms of these groups attacked BTS and Armys on internet.
RM came out with these memories for the first time during their Army Corner chat in June 2021 Festa celebration. He said the difficult times and hate they received peaked around 2017/18

Why are they after them? Because that culture is all about you knowing your place in society. And since Big Hit was a small company, they were ‘rising above their station’ by having such success. It was jealousy, plain and simple.
There is a saying of “How do you have the tallest building in town?”
“You tear down everyone else’s buildings until yours is the only one still standing”.
All these accusations was less talented people being jealous of BTS’s climbing success and was trying to end the group (and eliminate them as competition).
I’m so proud of the boys for ignoring them and working harder and rising faster. All those haters and liars simply gave them so much fodder to write songs with.

Hi Alexa. Thanks for the live! Your reaction today is one of the reflection of BTS’s hardwork back in their early stages full of unexpected discouragements back then. I assume it hurt them terribly, for sometimes the denial had hit not only one member but as a whole group…being the witness seeing a family member suffer in unfair way is more painful than yourself gets injured. Your sympathy today for them is a glory for them, because their past sacrifices gets paid in a way. Let’s celebrate BTS’s artwork together and make our day brighter…this is what they have wanted to achieve, I believe. Thanks for sharing your honest reactions!

We really are very protective with our boys and we are often criticized by being toxic when in the first place they’re the one who started it. Fan wars are really disgusting, why can’t they just focus on their idols rather than bringing down other groups, why can’t they just do their best to vote their idols instead of blabbering about how bts shouldn’t have won LOL they’re just salty because army really focuses on voting BTS while they’re there hating😭 (sorry for any grammatical error, english is not my first language)z

In the Korean industry, in the western industry and in the industry in general, those with the most power are the ones who have it the easiest, so they will stand out. It's about power, resources, money and connections, but BTS and their company had none of this. They had no influence over the media to promote themselves, so they created their own variety show "RUN BTS". Army's relationship with kpop fans is not very good because of everything that has happened since BTS' debut, not only did the big companies try to bring BTS down, many kpopies also tried. BTS changed the rules of the game, they were not successful in the same way as the other groups, they managed to become stars thanks to their own efforts, the fandom and their company that believed in them

14:00 throughout the years of me following bts, I've seen soooooo much undue hate towards BTS. And that's why army can be pretty overprotective of BTS. Even now, I see pointless hate towards them. And I even see hate towards them from the music industries. There's been so much over the years, I get tired remembering it all. The only thing that makes it worth it is seeing how far the boys have grown and made it big. That and to watch all the haters get their eventual karma. lol

When I'm reminded of these kind of stuff, it me makes me even more proud of each and every one of their achievements. As much as the hate they receive, we're gonna give them positive things and love. So bring it on! And I don't know if I'm right about this but I think they get this much hate from the beginning because they are a group from a smaller agency. Like... at that time, there were only three big agencies that their artists won everything, so I guess the fans of those groups were kinda scared to get a group from a small agency getting their space or their awards. They probably believed that it was not possible for a small group to get this big, you know? But I feel like they got used to bullying BTS, and that's why they still do it to this day. I mean, we all know BTS babies are friends with a lot of other idols so it's kinda sad to see those idols' fans treating their friends like this. Shame on them. I'm sorry if my english is not good haha

    • @MarianaLambert
      @MarianaLambert 2 роки тому

you know, let me just tell you something before you get more into this and maybe into other groups. Some people will probably say that I'm wrong or something but Kpop industry and Korea's culture is super duper toxic. That's why you'll see a lot of these stuff happening. Istg that recently I've seen an injured member of another group so heavily that he could go blind, and some people were rejoycing online, saying that it serves him right, I mean WHAT FOR!?! But well, I guess you'll see for yourself. I feel like some fans hate to see other idols and their fandoms happy. If it isn't their favorites being happy, than no one can, you know what I mean? Thankfuly, most intl fans are multi fandom, so they just want everyone to be happy. But still, we're in 2022!!! Humans think we are so evolved and it pains me to see that there are still people like this in this god forsaken world. We still have a long way to go

No and the fact that there’s idols that have look down on BTS idols that are openly jealous of the tannies ceos of companies in Korea that have done everything to stop BTS it’s mind blowing to think that all these years of Kpop BTS are the first Kpop group that doesn’t come from the big3 to win major awards in South Korea, companies are eso bitter that they don’t even send their artist to any award shows anymore since BTS are going to win all the major awards they don’t want their idols to just perform and watch BTS take all the awards

I think XCeleste should've done a bit more explaining on the misogynistic lyrics part of this video. To me as an American who witnesses so many people listen to shitty music about sex and women being objects for men, the lyrics in War of Hormone are not misogynistic AT ALL. The interpretation is completely off. It's a song about young boys experiencing puberty and feelings for women and for their body. It's so difficult to read those lyrics now and see what they were accused for. It's honestly ridiculous, the Koreans who accused BTS don't know what misogynistic means...

  • @taequilasilver7183

Those 26 agencies were clowns, we do not forget how they used BTS's name for their own benefit when BTS NEVER asked for an exception. And of course, all the hate fell on BTS when their company didn't even go to ask for the exception, they received backlash for something they didn't ask for, shame on those companies and fans who attacked BTS just because their groups haven't received much recognition and good for BTS and their company, they have never asked for favors or special treatment.
It's not unfair, they just can't give a group an exception just because they exist, but those other agencies wanted the government to give their groups an exception even though, being honest and objective, those groups have no relevance and have failed to spread korean culture as BTS

BTS company Big Hit Ent. wasn't part of the top big companies back then and most idol groups were produced by those companies so since Bit Hit lacked funds to push their artist, they were expected to like bow to those top teir companies but instead big hit looked for other ways to push esp BTS. So for the fact that a group from a small company near bankruptcy to achieve what BTS were achieving, they couldn't believe it. Hence the attacks. It's sad to say that even till date all these and more are still happening

Hard to understand but people hate, and jealousy destroys them and stops them from being decent human beings. Especially on social media. People have to realise 'what goes round comes round' - there is no escaping justice one way or another. We will all answer for our actions.

WE WIN BIG WITH OUR BANGTANIES AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. Leave the miserable lot to their own devices and let us pray for them to change their attitudes and become decent human beings.
