I needed these breakdowns so badly. Thank you - with this I might be able to do it sooner rather than later!

Thank you so much for breaking it down like this. I struggle with the straddle and have to do it in a performance in May. Eek!

Thanks for this. I'm really struggling with the straddle on the hoop and cross back straddle on the silks. I'm going to start your conditioning exercises and hopefully I'll get there x

Thank you! I'm much closer to getting my straddle because of this :) Could you make a video on moves to do on the top of the hoop, or ways to get up there? I have trouble getting up, and not sliding off once I haul myself up lol! Thanks again!

    I can't do a straddle
I'm am a teen and I was wondering how often I should do these exercises like how many times a week or month
And I was also wondering how long it will take me to get a straddle if I do all these exercises

Hi lovely, a straddle is definitely not easy, don't put too much pressure on yourself :) Listen to your body and don't train the same muscles if they're already aching. Other than that there's no maximum amount of times you can train, if you currently train once a week then up it to twice a week, if you get on well with that for a few weeks than up it to 3 times a week etc. Make sure you have at least one complete rest day a week. I train/teach 5 days a week and know it would be too much for my body to do more than that. How long it will take you to get the straddle is really hard to predict, it totally depends on your current fitness level in aerial hoop and core strength. If you're fairly close to getting it then doing these exercises in your training sessions and doing some ab workouts at home if you can't train that often, you'll get it in no time! If it still feels a long way off then it will take abit longer. Just keep practising and you'll nail it!

How long do you think it takes for the average person to learn the straddle
