      He did. He played one of the sickest drum solos ever on a pop/fusion record. He’s not in this footage because he did very limited sessions, played so great he just did one take and was out. There’s more footage of Bernard because he was around for more of the production. Gadd just happened to be in town and recording nearby so they got him in for a session. Whereas Bernard was on the whole album

    • @bingus3671

      @@sub-jec-tivI believe Steve himself said that they did 2 takes, 1 with the rhythm section, and then the final which was the one recorded, brilliant! Steve also did the peg sessions, and there’s an outtake out on the internet of Steve’s version of peg, and also on the outtake “Stand by the Seawall”, which is like a proto-Aja, you can definitely hear the similarities, it’s a cool demo/outtake. There is also a second version of “stand by the Seawall” with purdie on drums, and it’s basically a whole different song, but with the same name. I love steely Dan

    It is Steuart. Wiki doesn't say anything about him playing with S.D. but been with the Eagles since 2001. Too bad Don left. He was very good, but I understand he didn't like touring and concerts so they fired him. Steuart does beautiful guitar solos. Funny how he's always seated off to the right, not with the 4 main members. Like he's an add-on that hasn't quite gotten his stripes yet. Strange. Writes and produces too. is playing style fits into the Eagles perfectly. Many thanks - now I know.

      James Keyes : Re: Don Felder: I realize your comment is now 6 years old, but in case you still aren’t aware of the primary reason for Don Felder leaving The Eagles, it was mostly about Henley & Frey’s greed and dictatorial hold over everything they did. Don Felder is a founding member but they walked all over him, even back in the 70’s.
      Anyway, I don’t know if you’ll ever read this reply or if you even care, but I just wanted to point that out. Don is a stand up guy.
      Edit: Don *Felder* is a stand up guy. The other Don, not so much, at least not before Glenn Frey passed.

    • @chromiumveins
      @chromiumveins 7 років тому

      I agree with what you're saying about Mr and Mrs Suburb, but not sure what you mean by any real jazz musician not playing the real jazz in a club or performance. If not played in a club, then where? The best jazz was always played in clubs and not on albums because in clubs they can improvise, depending on their and/or the audiences' mood. Just my opinion :-) peace.

      Then be more careful next time you post something!!! UA-cam is designed only for accurate and factual information from the people who post on it. (ha, ha) I am totally kidding, dude!
