"When I want to be alone...I go out into the world"
I have a tendecy for this to happen.
"If I bite my tongue, my mouth bleeds shark bait. When I sit still, my thoughts circle me."
Imagery, imagery, imagery. In spoken word poetry, it is so important to make the audience feel what you are feeling in a matter of minutes, and Sabrina is always able to find the right words to do just that.
It's you who wrote "the worst of the three" right? Splendid work there!!
Everything is in slow motion again.
Breath, the pace of an afternoon walk, against the wind.
Heart paces like dormant volcano, oscillating head.
My thoughts are spirograph.
Think, intricate patterns of loops.
Think waves that never break.
My feet are two bowling balls headed towards the
same strike, but the lane just keeps growing and growing.
Everything is in slow motion again
My eyes have formed a reckless search party.
There's snow in every window, but I see cotton balls on string.
Each moment hangs in the air around me, a poem waiting to be plucked.
If I bite my tongue, my mouth bleeds sharkbait.
When I sit still, my thoughts circle me.
When I want to be alone, I go out into the world.
In the center of me hangs a small bell.
I don't know how to ring it, but I've heard it ring.
And I can't stop thinking about when it will ring next."
I do wonder what the bell represents
@@lillymirembe4474 I think it is happiness
She have heard it before (she have been happy before), but she don't know how to make herself happy or when she will be happy.
Here is what I take from this...
The bell is happiness. A joyful sound. Depression is so prevalent that you don’t know how to be happy again. But she’s heard the bell before she has been happy before but for now she just hopes for it to ring again. She hopes to be happy again... depression has you feeling like time is going so slow. And when those moments hit and you’re alone, those thoughts surround you. A lot of the time you’d rather not be in your thoughts so you’ll go out to not hear those thoughts. And although you may go where people are you still feel alone.
I can't explain it but I get it, this makes me feel slightly less alone
Ella Gigg me yoo. It's something amazing about her
If I bite my tongue, my mouth bleeds shark bait.
When I sit still, my thoughts circle me.
*Such a simple poem but so intricately formed*
*Ugh. I love everything she writes*
That bell...that bell...

I love this for a reason I can’t explain
Simply beautiful.💙
This is the most accurate, relatable and heartbreaking description of feelings I’ve felt often. It’s terrible but this description is beautifully written.
"Everything is in slow motion again"
Nana TK i started to cry at that moment! 😱
absolutely beautiful
My thoughts are my worst enemy too, I relate so much
This incredible piece makes one really think. About the seasons the air we breath and the touch of a hand to hold. Savor each memory that is presented. I may come across as being cold at times but i really have a special place in my heart for poetry. Everyday i search for the latest poem that comes across feeling very positive to me. Grasping the dear message that each poem has been presented. you show your growth with each delicate penned piece that I come across reading. Thank you for the chance to have read. (Poet Mario William Vitale)

♡
These walls around me
Look down on me,
Frowning,
Staring at the ground,
And shouting random words
out loud.
I think I'm going crazy.
Maybe
Things will change
Before they rape me.
Hope that makes me
Motivated.
Life is fading.
All I see
Inside this cage is
Hopeless waiting
To be taken
From this life
Into the reign
Of Satan
All my sin
And all this pain.
I hide away,
Feeling afraid.
I need a way
Out of this prison cell today
In case
My brain
Is filled with shame
And pointless hate.
I cannot make out what I see.
All of these demons surround me
And they say things
That make me think
That death is easy.
Let me bleed.
Just let me be
Forgotten by the world I see
So far away.
I want to see
My family
But how could we
Make love and peace
After the things
They said to me?
Save me from me.
Let me be free.
Please set me free.
Please set me free.
did you write it? it is amazing
Your mind is telling you that things will never get better. IT IS LYING. I know, I've lived it. Just keep breathing.
Ava Levesque Thanks! Doesn't it just fill you with happiness?! 😂
Eman Fayyaz Thanks!

I Watched This, the Second Time
I am so in Love with you, Sabrina.
You speak to and for my soul.
PROLOGUE
With the audience’s arrival the people take their seat
Noise and chatter from every row echo through the room
The Watchmen come eager to see their creation
Sitting on top with axinite enchanted pillars
They have decorated themselves with emerald clothing
Widespread for all to see
In their grand thrones the servants observe them
They see with vigilance and listen attentively to the sounds of progress being made
Amongst their fellow passerbys the workers come home
Returning from the twilight valley they come to rest
Burrowed deep within their settlements
Resting and sleeping it is now the roommates turn
The Settlers come forth, setting the stage for what is to come
Each one working on the hour breathing life into the future
As the staff prepares, cleans and polishes the set
The actors and actresses are getting ready for their performance
Embellishing in the most fitting attire they’re advocating their personas
The people grow quiet as the stage emits a dimming scene
Their Ceremony begins…
ACT 1: RESONANCE
Silence begins to leave straying behind his own making.
Now taking its place the guidance of a whisper flows forth
Floating orbs of citrin stream through time
Swaying by each movement the beams streak towards the past
An Arrangement designed by each one’s intent
They decorate the scene for the One awaiting them
Sparkling the atmosphere with decorations and ornaments alike
And as the ground lays bare in its own splendor,
A figure passes by gliding through Peridot’s children
Some old, some new, each of them gathered together opening a gateway for heaven’s footprints
She has already been here before
As she comes daily
Adorned by a milk diamond-infused dress
Patterned by pink sapphires that danced along the edges
Feet amidst the surface and hands surrounded by the air
Short strands of a unified topaz sweeps on her head from The Unknowns breath
With eyes bejeweled of cyan
The woman looks up to the sky
She peers upon Amethyst spreading His curiosity across the audience’s canopy
One who knows her purpose, already prepared for her ritual
Standing alone she stills the presence within her
Letting the little ones congregate together
They meet and gather around
Some in pairs, others in groups
Singing. Dancing. Walking. Touching. Flying.
All joining as one harmonious outfit clothing the fields with provision
All the while Amethyst gazes back at the scene
One with many riches owning much to his name
Power beyond compare giving more in his command with gestures so grand
Revering what had been laid before him
Pacing along his fluorescent Kingdom, showing his wonders towards all of his fellow creators
Spreading far into the background his animated splendor engulfs the view
And in the middle of it all The Servant pauses giving a humble bow to the Superior One
Yes, the figure in the dress
She has emitted her presence giving joy and admiration towards every living thing
An Invisible gift, the greatest of all
One catered to each individual
Crafted, created and delivered adding the final touch to an already abundant ceremony
The Woman traces the fields as she gazes upon her people
Giving and fulfilling making her own purpose
Illuminating the eyes of every individual
With immense power she commands and controls alluring each one’s heart
Yet soft her approach and kind is her presence
Shifting fate, changing reality The Figure is the master of it all
As she prepares to take her leave she gives off a smile, her aura a radiant one
Her job is now done she takes in one final glance, then quietly disappears into the horizon
With her now absent Amethyst begins to leave taking his kingdom with him
He returns to his long journey back to where he came
The orbs stop shining their light has grown dim
The little ones go inside their bodies now tired
Into their homes they go, looking forward to their slumber
The Ceremony has ended
The Silence returns, picking up where he had left off
With the stage now quiet, the curtains come to a close
Of course, his gift was not forgotten...
EPILOGUE
With the stage’s lighting slowly approaching the actors and actresses disappear
The people start to dissipate pleased with the performance
Joyous and happy as they set on another day
The Watchmen are seen once again sitting high up in the room
Revealing the gratification hidden in their eyes
Setting their sights on to the future they too depart from the area
A soft humble applause greets The Settlers leaving the stage behind
The hallways are empty and chairs are shown bare
The doors come to a close sealing the events within
And yet on another time in another place not too far into the future
The presence of another being lingers in seeking when he could find in the outset
The evidence secures his eyes to much surprise
The wide-open expanse introducing him to the blue shaded void
It goes on for miles never ending in both places
This one is new to the job in fact this is his first time
With no hesitation he makes his bold move
Now it is His hour to direct life into the future...
Thanks for taking the time to read it.
