    7:02 You absolutely can do things with the B-Roll pictures. But you have to copy them into your A-Roll album first. 11:54 when you go into album, click on the delete square to go to copy and then you can scroll into the b-roll and make copies of whatever is unlocked. They are copied into the A-Roll and those copies can be used/edited/printed like any other A-Roll picture.
    I had one as a kid and I for some reason remember very clearly doodling on the B-Roll pictures etc

    I legitimately remember being 2 years old as I was born in 97, playing this. I had wanted a gameboy so I got my brothers old hand me down with this camera as the only game, considering I was just 2 my brothers didn’t want to give me any real games, just something a toddler can play around with. But I remember for a long time this was all I had and I knew every secret having no idea what a lot of it meant lol but this game taught me to read because I was curious enough to want to know what every word meant for myself. I learned a lot from my gameboy in general. And finally I got my first game which was the original Mario where he’d jump over barrels and Donkey Kong was the antagonist. It’s crazy how young I was with a gameboy in hand

    This has got to be the most in-depth look at the GameBoy Camera I've ever seen. I used mine for years back in the day, and there were a ton of features I had never heard of, here! Fantastic, mate :)

      Thanks very much! Funny thing is, I think there’s probably still more to cover on the 64DD/Game Boy Camera integration, and I’m also working on a Game Boy Printer video which is also going to be incredibly in-depth.
      This stuff keeps me busy!

    Loved my Game Boy camera; makes you realise how jam packed full of features it was; excellent video sir. I used to make stop motion stuff with mine

    As always another really interesting video. I remember first seeing the Gameboy camera & printer being shown at Woolworths in Chelmsford when it was released & thinking it was really cool.

    I've wanted to get one of these, simply because it is so much of its time. Same with the printer. Thanks for the in-depth review, as good as your Super Gameboy videos.
    By the way, does this mean you have a 64DD? I'm jealous! I'd love to get one, more for the novelty factor than anything. I have some of the 64DD games converted to play from the Everdrive cartridge, so at least I can still play some of the games

    • @PugHoofGaming
      @PugHoofGaming  6 років тому +1

      I wish! I’m using the Everdrive’s excellent 64DD support for this video!
      A Game Boy Printer video is most definitely coming, but it’s going to take a while as there’s a lot of games with support to cover!

    I think some music that is more relaxing would be more fitting. You're talking about old gameboy manuals - no need for generic rock music.

      In all seriousness, thanks for the suggestion, I’ll definitely keep that in mind :)

    Brilliant video friend! One question? I want to use my GB Camera for digital art. How did you get your GB video output into a digital format like you have in your video?

    • @PugHoofGaming
      @PugHoofGaming  2 роки тому

      Thank you! I captured the GB camera footage by inserting the Camera into the Super Game Boy accessory for SNES, running it through an upscaler (at the time, it was a Framemeister, but these days I use an OSSC) and using an Elgato to capture the output into my MacBook.
      However, if you just want the pictures out of your GB Camera, there are far easier and cheaper ways. There is a little bit of tech you can use to transmit the output from the Game Boy’s EXT port, to a mobile phone. I got one from eBay a few years ago but I haven’t yet gotten around to making a video!

      @@PugHoofGaming very cool alternatives! From what I own I thought maybe the n64 transfer pack would work with pokemon stadium and I could record using my USB capture card. Seems like it won't work. I Will need a snes gameboy adapter or retron3 to complete my original method.

    What about the "NO CAM" message? Is that legitimately in the Game Boy camera ROM as an error message, or just something that mGBA does?

    • @PugHoofGaming
      @PugHoofGaming  3 роки тому

      That would be an error if you were using the Game Boy Camera ROM without an actual camera peripheral (because you’re using an emulator, presumably)
