back in the 80's, a movie called "Fast times at Ridgemont high introduced the world to Jeff Spicoli, pretty much every sit-com after that had a stoned surfer character.
@Marty McFly II I don’t remember that. John Ritter was my favorite actor as a kid, I’ll have to look up the show. I remember the Ropers had a spin off and seems like John Ritter did too. Didn’t his character get married to a flight attendant and the show only lasted a season? I’ll have to look up the show you mentioned.
@Marty McFly II oh wow, you are a great source of information! Very cool. I’m going to have to read your comment a few more times. Thanks for the information!
It don't make sense! Confusion probably added to why the stint was short lived. I personally think producers weren't ready to let go of success but needed a "concept" to ride on already established stars and a fan base. Turning actors into singers was a gimmick back then and they figured they'd give a try and maybe have automatic success as usual- but not this time. I read that Scott claims everyone behind the scenes was high on cocaine, so they clearly weren't applying reality because this isn't really that great but then I'm not a huge Happy Days person, although I do like Scott and Erin as people. I also appreciate the nostalgia too!!! ❤️ I just think they took success for granted and figured they could spin anything and have a guaranteed hit and it didn't do so well in the ratings. People moved on I guess. But I like the attempt and era. Early 80's? Despite it's very unclear what date period they are representing. These problems probably led to it's poor ratings.
I think they were Italian or something, so it might have also been an Italian-style nickname for the character. Or like sometimes happens, one of the family members who can't say the English names, can't pronounce the name properly in English and the name just sticks.
Haha!!! Reminds me of Happy Days 🙄 Total overkill, they sure knew how to glorify themselves. They walk on for a scene and the audience would react like Holy Moses in Happy Days, very ridiculous. They didn't save anyone's life, why such a crazed reaction scene to scene? Very self-righteous and primadonna, it was not that great of a show. I never seen this before and just watching because I love the nostalgia of that time period and the way things were and looked, and how society was and I do like Scott and Erin as people. ❤
His last name was Charles Arcola. I think I spelled the last name correctly. Chachi was Fonzis cousin on Happy Days. I liked this show but Happy Days was much better.
@@gradgrrl He wasn't caring or kind at all, in fact downright dispicable regarding poor Erin's illness & untimely death. She also had an abusive home life growing up, very bad physical abuse from what I remember. It traumatizes me to this day, remembering her crying about coming home from work to her brother being bloody and her father beating the hell out of him. That's how things were back then in households, people just kept it hidden. I think Scott hooked up with Erin for his career convenience, but her tragic passing sadly exposed his true colors and often it's those moments in life and significant events that finally bring out who we really are. I like the fact that he's conservative and has conviction for his beliefs. I wish more people would, they're all liberal phonies in Hollywood now. Sell outs. But he can be a real scum bag and he whored around a lot! He lacks compassion and is cold. I did enjoy him in that Al Capone film, the one with Jodie Foster. He was cute in that, reminded me of alfalfa! ❤
This was such a bad show. Everything from the music to their clothes says 1980's...yet it's supposed to take place in the 1960's. Who was the genius that figured this would make a good show? lol
Thank you for uploading this. I never seen it, i was a baby i think. It's nothing great but i like watching for nostalgia purposes. Better times!!! ❤
I absolutely love this show!! I always loved all of them on Happy Days !! And I love the way they both sing!! R.I.P. Erin!!!!
I’m a very big huge fan of Scott Baio and Erin Moran I was just 13 years old when this series came on RIP Erin Moran
I wished this spin off lasted longer .I luved this cpl
@Maximus Prime Others did Came. But too bad not for much.
Erin will be remembered.
Who?
Keath Graham she plays Joanie Cunningham on Happy Days
AL a great man of character.
This is the first time I've seen this show. I like it.
Joni was looking really cute fresh and sweet!!!
Love this show rip Erin erica
Erin will be remembered and scott in happy days rip
RIP Art Metrano, who played Uncle Rico (September 22, 1936 - September 8, 2021)
This was awesome!! Thanks for the memories!!
Loved the show rip erin
Ilove this show so much
Watching this in 2020 wish it lasted longer then 2 seasons
It was total garbage
Me too! I loved this show!
This show wasn't well received because it sucked.
@@NelsonVlog66 It was a great show!
"I'm going to hit you so hard, your grandkids are going to be born with headaches." 🤣🤣🤣
i like the show...scott baio was good with erin moran......al was good . and eileen travolta...
Its the 60's but somehow 1980 fashion and hairstyles LOL
Right how does Erin have teased hair with80s moose
or why does Chachi look like he just left 2001 Odyssey with Tony Monero lol
Looks like disco-era not 1960's
This Happy Days spinoff only lasted 17 episodes across two seasons, from March 23, 1982 to May 24, 1983.
Easy Hoss
Erin wasn't a bad singer - or actress. It's too bad that her life was so tragic.
For a series that was *supposed* to be set in the 1960s, this was chock-full of 70s flavors #JustSaying
And the drummer's shirt at 11:36 #ComeOn
I like the song whole lot.. Scott Baio singed good with Erin...
Scott baio has no vocal chords
She sings good! He could've used a vocal coach though.
"You look at me and, suddenly, I am captured by your eyes." Lennon and McCarthy eat your heart out!
Surely you've lost your mind. Seriously comparing that crap to Lennon/McCartney? Please seek mental health professionals.

It was happy days when they went to Chicago and became Joanie loves chocked then back to happy days when they got married
choked, lol!
I personally think Scott is average not great but not awful at singing. Erin I think is great. This show is really mire a scott vehicle.

Mr. and Mrs. C!!!!!!!
come on
this show wasn't bad at all
Weren't Joanie and Chachi married at the end of Happy Days ? Here they're just dating....did i miss something in between?
Music like this didn’t exist in the early 1960’s.
I was surprised to see the names of the executive producers. Miller-Boyett Productions did Perfect Strangers and Family Matters.
Same production company, minus their other partner, Edward Milkis.
I don't know what was worse. Watching this show or listening to scott sing.
Edwina Monsoon I love you darling
it is a tough call
Edwina Monsoon lol that singing had me looking for a razor to slit my wrist
He didn't sing the theme song.
I think this is most people's reaction
Ellen Travolta is she related to John Travolta?
I googled it for you... john and ellen were siblings.
This was supposed to be 1964, 65 at the latest.
Does Anyone Know Where The Passages 1 and 2 of Joanie And Chachis Wedding Can Someone please Post A Link For It Thanks

Dogs would always start howling when they heard Scott Baio sing
God this show is funny.
Was this produced by Lorimar?
I dream. Of. Scott. Baio
LOL. Erin had a nice voice. But Scott - just no.
Why does it repeat at the end?
The only one dress for the 60s was Mrs C
They will never be another Mr. &Mrs. Cunningham. To me they will always be televisions greatest parents.
@@lisamorris6676 : For me it's a tie between The Cunninghams and Ma & Pa Ingalls.
scooobby doo
At times I could not stand Howard! Joanie was 18 and he should have had no say in whether or not she stayed in Chicago!
Very stupid question, but how is Ellen Travolta related to John?
Sister
@@gradgrrl thank you very much!
is Uncle Rico the guy from Seinfeld in the episode about the ocean and the shrimp?
No worse or better than Happy Days. I don't really think it deserves it's reputation.
I forgot how cheesy this was
You may think im like 45 or sum watching this but no im from this generation of tik tok
didn't they get married on happy days
Pamela Gauthreaux yup

So this is Happy Days in Chicago. Hmm. Interesting
Bob loblaw
Scott is not a great singer. Erin was. But together they sounded very good. And do I love the shows theme, very catchy.
Never heard of the name Chachi. Where does that derive from?
That was when he guest starred on Happy Days
It was a nickname for Charles.
I think they were Italian or something, so it might have also been an Italian-style nickname for the character.
Or like sometimes happens, one of the family members who can't say the English names, can't pronounce the name properly in English and the name just sticks.
Return Marion Cunningham Howard Cunningham and Joanie.s Cousin Elijah Ray Sanders
The audience is annoying lol every "WHOOOOOO!!" 👏👏👏 every time someone appears on screen

Scott baio singing 👎👎👎

Erin said he was tiny.

Wow. No redeeming value whatsoever.

The opening song was lame....every episode was about jealousy.....Erin was a great singer that's for sure !
