WELL, my bio teacher gave us these chapter review packets to use that correlate to our book--I read the book religiously at the beginning of the year, but I stopped when I mostly relied on our teacher's powerpoints, the study guides, and the videos! Watching any types of videos in my opinion really helps to grasp the content...but there were DEFINITELY kids that were not doing good at ALL in there, I'm talking about them getting 60s on their quizzes (yikes). But I would study a lot, rereading the notes--the amount is not crazy if you plan out your study time. Even as a crammer, I pulled an A+ in the class. I need to change that habit though. There would be periods of lectures to learn the content, then when the quiz/test was in 1-3 days, I would start studying. It's important to take into consideration who your teacher is, I, personally, was not doing bio hw or studying every night. I find it VERY interesting that I did better in my AP bio class than my freshman honors bio class. Then again, I had an amazing teacher and I love biology, so I suggest you go into the class with a positive attitude. Also, if you want, get a Barron's book for AP Bio, I did not have one (too lazy to order), but I definitely would have used it for final exam prep. Just get your assignments done, study, and listen--I did not find the course as frustrating or "hard" as AP Lit. and Comp (in terms of assignments and my numeric grade). *The crash course biology series is amazing as well, but I recall mostly relying on it for understanding processes such as glycolysis and the nervous/immune system* ** Something that I would frequently do is watch diff vids for review and put those vids on x2 speed...a little hectic at times, but it's a technique that really works for me**

When you were taking this AP course, were you taking any other? I am taking three other AP courses alongside bio and I don't know if time management will be an issue.
No problem! I had APUSH, ap lit, and ap music theory going on at the same time. APUSH and lit were rough. Music theory, I barely did anything at home. Even for me, someone who puts things off til the last minute and ends up sleeping very late, I had LOTS of time to do my work....I just put forth that time into watching youtube :D To me, apush was just a big old numbers game, there was a 13 pt curve on our quizzes, so that class to me was a hit or a miss--I had a 100 for Q1, Q2, E1--then it all went downhill from there. I'm surprised that even happened because I was getting grades in the 60s! Thank god for the 3 pt extra credit.. ap lit....geez, I felt like I wasn't learning, but in my experience I don't think a lot of English teachers are good...too many irrelevant conversations about lives I don't care about (I got a 4 for that exam). Music theory was a 5 and I thought the APUSH exam was SOOOOOOOOOO easy, got a 5, but in school that class was all over the place. AP Lit legit made me cry because I failed my Gatsby pressure write, so it felt like I wasn't improving in the class...I didn't cry over a bad APUSH grade though, haha! I really don't think time management is an issue because I really waste my time, so I can't complain about me not sleeping because I would choose to have fun over doing work. Just deal with all things school related first because it's better in the long-run...my telomeres have definitely shortened because of the amount of sleep I deprived myself for no good reason. Get your sleep!

+Soomin Typically students that have done well in my AP Biology class do very well on the subject level SAT for Biology. I believe the SAT test is less intensive than the AP, so teaching yourself AP Biology independently might be overkill unless you plan on also taking the AP Biology test for college credit.
2013 was when AP Biology switched over (really just trimmed down) to the new content. So my videos were done after that and should be good. You will need to look over past AP exams to get used to the way AP Biology asks questions though.
I'm using the ap bio Campbell 1st edition (the one with the eagle eye on the front?), these videos seem very helpful but unfortunately I can't rlly use them effectively to study for tests/quizzes because the chapters don't match up. Any advice?
I can only say the chapter content seldom changes much, but they do slightly rearrange chapters. Just go by the content rather than chapter number and you should be fine.
would you please upload chapter 28, 31, 32, 33, 34? I have an exam this upcoming monday, I would really appreciate videos for any of the following chapter. Thank you
+raj mehta The current AP Biology curriculum does not cover those chapters since the 2012 revision. Hopefully someone else has covered them elsewhere on youtube, as my next recordings will be mostly statistics and lab setup related.

Hi, I’m going to take AP for next semester and I just done with general Biology(BIOL 1406). I found some chapters are similar to what I have learned this semester ( the book is Campbell biology) I’m an ESL student and confused is this AP biology or General Biology ?
TingLing He AP course is for high school student to study college knowledge before they get into college, and general Biology is the course that you have in college. Basically they are the same. In my school, general biology has multiple subdivision, contents are different.
That's a really good channel. What your channel lacks are insights into realistic data of the human body. On our channel we have generated videos of 3 dimensional models from DICOM data. Maybe you want to record some of the videos on your channel. That would be a great honor for us.
