- Hey fam! I decided to put together a video from a recent trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. My friend and I just finished building out the back of our Subarus for car camping so this was our maiden voyage to test them out! Safe to say, we had a lot of fun and the builds work GREAT. I absolutely love making this type of content so expect more videos like this!

Was this in Hatteras? How did the Outbacks do in the sand? Thinking about taking mine this summer.
Yes this was in Hatteras right in Buxton! The outbacks did really good. However, we didn't get in any sand too deep. Even with airing down to about 15 PSI we still made sure to find an entrance where the sand was pretty packed down. We had no concerns whatsoever, the subarus crushed it.

Where in Buxton did you camp at? I've got an FJ Cruiser I'd like to start taking to the OBX for some car camping but have heard mixed things on places not allowing it, even actual campgrounds.
We camped at Frisco Campground! I had no issues with car camping on the cape at all, the culture of people are very relaxed, even park rangers. We actually car camped at a beach access which is not legal and park rangers drove past and didn't care at all!
