Good music is absolutely everywhere, in fact, I'd say more of it than ever! You just gotta look outside the mainstream. Pop for the most part has been tainted. Back in the day the popular music and the good music were one and the same. Have a gander around and you'll find some magic :)

I'm Sorry for your loss Sir. Much respect to you for sharing your emotions with us, watching these guys perform a classic. Im only 34 years old and just lost my soulmate to cancer in June. Even tho I may have spent less amount of time with her, seeing as you're 67, I still feel your pain and my heart goes out to you. Respect to you for keeping her alive in your heart & showing us young guys how to be a good man and showing true emotions is not a sign of weakness. It's shows that the pain we go thru during grief, is the price we pay for loving so strong. Which may be hard, but worth it in the end, I'm sure as you are, we're both thankful to have experienced a love like that! We loved them to the 🌙 and back 🌎!! Thanks for sharing cuz I feel weak when I get brought to tears with songs such as this, but it's helps seeing someone who's got more than double my experience in life, show it's alright to put your emotions out there and not feel weak. Thank you Sir! Happy Holidays! 🍻Cheers from Canada

Thanks for sharing sir! Sounds like such an amazing time to have been alive back then! I'm only 34 and feel my heart & soul were meant to have grown up in the 60's & 70's the music and just life in general seemed so much more fun and exciting. Not a fan of this technology driven world with everyone dividing against one another. Just isn't music like those days anymore, feel it's dying out! I am thankful for my elders like you for sharing the memories of those times for us to feel as close as we can to the real thing thru stories and the music. @@jaycorby I agree! I wonder if there are any songwriters in their band? If not, I'd love to see them hook up with one of the greats and get some original material! They definitely deserve it! Hey, @rickbeato can you please hook these kids up! ua-cam.com/users/RickBeatovideos

To be fair, most musicians still play instruments. How many do you know that don't other than a few pop stars and "DJ's"? It's a tiny percentage of musicians that don't.

@@lyman135 Thanks. I guess it depends on what circles you travel in. I'm LA born and bred. I have owned a performing arts theatre there that I've had about 23 years, and work in TV/Film. Because it's Hollywood, we get young new actors, dancers, "musicians", writers, directors... off the boat every day from all over the world. Over the last 5 years or so especially there has been a great decrease in the number of "musicians" who play instruments even competently, let alone have them up to any level of mastery. But, there is a shit-ton of "musicians" who use a computer to mix music. Maybe the real musicians aren't coming to LA any more? Anyway, that's why I made the comment. It was refreshing to see these kids.

@@jamiepaolinetti5087 I understand what you meant. It seems like there are an awful lot of people these days that call themselves or want to be called musicians but really aren't talented enough to be professionals. They have the skill level of your average high school chorus member or garage band but think they are the next American idol.

Absolutely love it guys! Your parents did something very right😉. I'm 55 yrs old and from Tennessee.. if you don't love Skynyrd around here... you're just crazy. I do want to give you one piece of advice. There's a song by Springsteen... it's called Glory Days. Listen to the lyrics and yes, take them to heart. We used to sing along all the time and not really think about it.. but those were our glory days.. now we sit around thinking about them and missing them. Just realize that these are YOUR Glory Days!! Enjoy them each and every one.. you're lucky to have cell phones.. you can take loads of photos, videos.. oh and keep a journal.. one day you'll be like all of us.. sitting back remembering.. longing for those days. Oh and I totally LOVE the hair❤❤. May God bless you and keep you thru all your days. 🙏🏼💜✝️
