I doubt that she will return to country music. For crossover acts, I always think back to how "The Chicks" were run out of country music while pop music was okay with them speaking their minds. And I think about how in country music female acts were marginalized in favor of male acts. Pop music has obviously embraced her storytelling like country music did, so I don't see a reason for her to go back to country. What I could see her doing is releasing different sonic versions of a future new album, like Shania Twain did with "Up!"'s versions. 🤷

Not saying 'I miss old tay' or 'I want old tay back' but idk sometimes it feels like she changed a lot. She is a really good country singer but she is also a good pop singer. 1989 is an awesome album! But when I listen to speak now album or any of her other old songs I smile like 'Awww old days... I miss this tay... Will she ever be like that again?'. She has some great pop songs but I feel like if she continued doing country music, it would be better. Speak now was an enchanting album...
I also feel like taylor swift, as an human being, changed a lot. I mean her style, her jokes, her relationship with fans and all that stuff. She used to wear a normal dress with not-so-high-but-high-heels. And she used to look gorgeous. Now all that crazy dresses, high heels, crazy make-up... She used to write the number 13 on her hands... Whatever, if she feels comfortable with those clothes I am happy too. None of us know who she is when the spotlight is turned off. Her style is not so important but still makes her look different
In the beginning of a video where she sings envhanted when a fan says 'I love you' and she replies her with saying 'I love you too' is a bucketlist moment. But I don't think it is possible for me. The fans changed too. In her concerts there are big crowds and they all shout and scream. So it is impossible to get in a conversation with tay. UA-cam's Fangirl I totally agree with everything you said! I think that 1989 is a cool album I really do, It's currently my jam. But I do think as a person she was sweeter back then. I feel like she was somehow happier when she was doing her first 3 albums, I may be wrong but she seemed more genuinely happy. Watching her really old vlogs she was just beyond giddy and adorable and she seemed happier to do country music. She even said she always wanted to do country music. Its why she moved to Nashville so it just seems weird that she goes straight into the mainstream. Although she has achieved more as a pop artist in terms of accolades/recognition than she did in country, but I feel like she was more in control of her music and more free when she did less collaborating. I guess people grow and change their likes and dislikes especially when going through different experiences but at least one thing never changed and that was her lyrics. I think that is more important to me because that defines Taylor most besides her innocent personality. I guess that as her experiences increased her innocence began to fade. I will always support and love Taylor I have been a fan since I heard Our Song when my aunt babysat me and my sisters and I saw it on CMT. So even though she has changed, I still think that Taylor is an amazing songwriter and person despite everything and I will always love her she has achieved so much since she was 16 and I am proud of her too :)

I think she'd be able to fake it pretty well, since I don't think this in itself was entirely natural. Her voice wasn't that country; she started recording this stuff only a couple years after moving to Tennessee, and she was too old to develop a real accent.
