What's ironic is that in real life, 30B had a very nice HEAT shell called "obus G" that was no fin stabilized (because it didn't existed yet) but still acheived very good balistic and could pierce through 400mm of steel, so basically the opposite of what it has in the game.
There are so many tanks like that....😅😅..in real many of them had very good gun and armor but reliability issue like engine tracks etc but in game they are just awfull in term of everthing😂.....I think wargaming did this to balance things out ..... And eventually they bring buffs 😂😂😂😂...to reduce hate they se coming😂😂
The best example is ISU-152 and OBJ. 704 gun, BL 10. This gun was battel ship gun, and in experimental purposes was put on ISU and OBJ. Im short tearms it would pen all tanks in game, pass through them :)
So you want a super inaccurate shell with lots of pen? In order for it to be accurate it needs fins, and to have fins on a shell you need to shrink the size of the shell, so it would be able to pen 400mm of steel if it was at all accurate
heat FS did exist by the time the 105mm f1 (the gun on the amx30) was developed however france (as usual) had a different was of doing things to get a heat charge that didn't need to spin.
Dope tank, lots of camo, lots of viewrange, S tier mobility, TOP tier dpm….give this tank 320 HEATs and and -0,02 base dispersion and we have a better leo. I’ve played around 800 games and I got it 3marked so I know what I’m talking about. My first tier X and definitely one of my all time favorites.
30B has better camo, better top speed (but worse engine by a little), better dpm, and enough turret armor for a lucky bounce sometimes. Vickers is better tank overall for sure but I do not think it is better at everything.
Ya, Vickers 3 was one of my BEST purchases of the game. An actual "worthwhile" Premium, when I end up being forced to SELL like 95% of them cause they are so Trash not even "worth" keeping.

Fix the weak point on the top of the turret by decreasing its size, give it 420 alpha like the Leo 1 and/or increase its camo rating. Also the shell velocity on its HEAT rounds needs to be increased to like 950 m/s.
-3 on dispersion, +20 penetration on standard and gold, and shell.velocity on all types by 300, and the tank would be rly good. My second tier 10 i grinded, i love this tank but outdated.
Skill, id love to see a secondary rating to tanks on your website. A fun/love rating, just like the community vote has but it's only your rating( out of 5 hearts for example) . You might love some bad tanks and dislike really good tanks. It would be a very insightful and interesting addition to have in my opinion.

from the stats the tank looks actually fine, only issues are penetration, shell velocity on the standard rounds, accuracy and the terrain resistance but evrything else looks completly fine. I think this tank feels so bad cause we have leopard which is faster and more accurate and we have centurion/ STB with workable turret armor
I’m planning on grinding this tank next since I loved the T57 line and am currently working on the second MoE (it’s been my favorite tank since it came out but I was to lil to have a good laptop or get a new one once it broke. Figured the first tank I 3 mark should be my favorite one) I’m excited for the similar gameplay but different challenge.
the tank is amazing. people say the armour is bad, yes it is. BUT the problem is that in current meta at that tier most ppl whill shoot Premium anyway so 100 armour or 200 armour or 300 armour is all the same most of the time. and that is actually the only bad thing about the tank. paper armour. So no matter what medium tank you play, you must play to not get hit since your amour is irelevant vs premium anyway. That left aside , the rest things this tank has are all amazing. DPM , speed, good accuracy and circle size after shooting. even the HEAT with low speed is amazing if you know why its made like that. the longer the distance the better because since it has low speed sheels , the longer the distance the wider the travel arc will be. and the wider the arc , the better vs sloped armour. if you shoot sloped armour straight it will be at a big angle. but since the shot comes form above a little instead of straight, the angle will be smaller so more chances to penetrate. si it's a long distance shell cause of the trajectory or very close range . not medium range. and guess what. with the accuracy it has, it's benefits long range shooting perfectly. and at close range like 50-70 meters, shell speed is irelevant you will hit almost instantly after you click . so it's a good tank but i agree with the skillLtu index, its not a beginner friendly tank. also you can play it as an AMAZING spotter. why ? cause of the cupola. The cupole is a spot point. Spotting points are those points that if in line of sight will help other see you or you see others. like the tip of the tank, the middle or the back of the tank, the top of the cupola etc. if any of those points are not covered they activate enemy detection. As a light tank you will be sitting in a bush and when your spot points are in direct uninterrupted line with the enemy tank spot points, you get to see it on your screen , you spot him. with this tank high cupolla you can sit on a small hill with only your cupola visibile and the cupola will act like a very smal detection point instead of exposing your whole tank. like a periscope on a submarine. so even if an enemy light tank will spot you in the bush, the enemy trying to hit you will only be able to see the cupola which will be very hard to hit from a distance or at least more hard than the whole body of the tank, like it happens when you spot a light tank in a bush. So short said, this tank has the means to snipe and the means to spot more safe than most Light tanks. Very good tank, high skill ceiling.
This tank is only in a "rough" state because it was removed and forgot about. Only to be added to Collector's when it came out. Even though its "a worse Leo", I still have fun in it. It honestly is in a spot between a Leo and the STB. You don't want to be on redline like a Leo, but you just don't quite have the flexibility an STB has on a ridgeline. It falls into the category of "paper medium tank" so if it has anything worse than a Leo, people automatically say its useless. If you are someone who only wants the best of the best and try-hard every time, I am sure it does feel like that. I am someone who enjoys each tank for what they are. Some tanks are more balanced in this game, which means they are bad compared to others, but I still like them. Not every medium needs to be a Leo. Let the "stinkers" be, because at the end of the day, playing them and learning to make them work will make you a better player overall IMO.
The crew skills help this tank alot. Its pretty bad still but i would say its not a 1 star tank. I would say its a 2, and 3 on a good day. I actualy dont feel like the cupola is that bad of a problem as the whole tank is paper.
I don't think its "horrible", slightly better gun handling and accuracy and some m/s on the shell velocity and this would be a pretty good tank. But even now it should at least be "bad", if not "average".

But I don't agree that it is the worst medium either, Concept 5 is worse and if we just say "T10"s, then there are quite a few tanks I would rather play the Amx instead of them.

This tank cost is horrible. As non premium player, you can't play it unless you accept to loose about 30k per game or more if you spam golds. The tank is really good but this is the point why i dont play it anymore.
Needs a buff. Just like the tier 9. The gun handling is atrocious. If you get hit everything breaks. Leopard PTA is so much better. I GRINDED those tanks.
About the ratings one day/week the tank can be a pile of poop and another day/week it's ''hidden gem'' P.S. The other thing if you are playing with best sniper tanks and you are going down to a derp'ish gun handling you will gonna hate the tank... (This is my opinion) Btw on WG poop paper this MT is good when in reality it's more like KV-2 gun... Maybe with full sniper equip and new skills it would work better. Because last time i played with it was like 4+ years there was no experimental equip if i remember correctly and there was for sure no ''special crew perks''...
This tank made me quit World of tanks for War thunder. I am kinda a patriot for my country and played every single french tank. I'm still so sad that a tank like this is so bad in this game...

All it needs, is shell velocity that matches the M4A1 Rev and original pen on both standard and premium shells.
I know it's bad but I kinda like it, my main complaint would be it's horrible pen for a tier 10 medium

Is it better than 2 stars? probably not, but anything that has good mobility and that dpm can't be 1 stars imho

30b has a special place in my heart because i hate it more than my life.
extra 10% shell speed perk wouldnt go amiss here .
I run V stabs, vents, and turbo. Great combo and improves the gun greatly and turbo gets you from shooting spot to another so damn quick!
If i did the same as Skill on Live Oaks i would be dead inside 1 minute

As mentioned, a fast turreted tank with some armor and good DPM can't be a 1 star. 2 stars should be safe.

I personally dont think it deserves 1 star raiting. In worst case scenario should be 2 stars. If person can adopt to the tank it can work good.
