About Spiderman's gift=The camera on the pole is a reference to how Peter/Spiderman always sets up/sticks a camera somewhere and gets his picture taken as Spiderman and then sells the pictures to the Dailybugle newspaper
I actually love all those little builds than seem to not be useful. I build a winter village each year and it helps me by coming up with stories and scenes. so the friends and city advents are my favorite. the new holes in the bunny head is because the new sets are coming with accesories for pets hats and all those stuff. the worst i think today is arial castle but would look nice in a beach scene as a sand castle and the winner yes that christmas tree from harry potter. but love that banana peel i dont have any of those
Love, love, love watching these every day. I’m recovering from a bike wreck (hit by a car) and the videos are my daily advent gifts. The Lego calendars sold out before I could get one. Please say negative things about all the gifts so I won’t feel left out. Haha.
Is it too early to suggest a bonus category for Christmas Eve? Thinking a second chance for any gift ranked 4-6 where on any other day would of been a contender
I have a few. The absolute must is setting fire to a home-made Christmas pudding after dinner on Christmas Day. Nothing better than a stodgy pudding smothered in flaming cognac followed by bad TV and a nap.
@@jeremyherbertofficialSounds like a good time with the family mine is hiding an elf (or nisse) couple named Tim and Ida on the tree and when I tell you that they are ugly I mean it but they are also beautiful in a strange way and they have been in my family since before I was born
Ok. I'm watching for 4 years or so and I always imagined you having a completely frantic December filming, editing & posting daily with time to respond to comments. Today I finally twigged you probably film as soon as the calendars arrive in shops. I don't know whether we should take points from me for stupidity or give them to you for very convincing acting 😂. Thanks for the very enjoyable tradition Jeremy
I do film ahead of time and I have a buffer on editing which allows me to make changes up to the day of publishing and gives me insurance against getting sick (I have a cold right now so I would sound bad). For authenticity, I never know what's behind the doors!
The battle Droid is OK, I'm being kind. I'm still laughing about the pizza box Spiderman and green street signs with no words are not jolly! Kind of nice tree and very festive for Potter! I have to admit I like the rabbit but have a strange desire to see the carrots stuck in the head. Please forgive me. The castle is cool . Do you think they're trying to lure us into beginning to collect the Disney line? Pinky-orange could be called carnelian. At least the wheels spin City but this is redundant. We get it the kid is active. I feel a whole scene coming on with the pizza box and today's Spiderman gift. Honestly, I would have placed Potter's tree in second. I'm ambivalent about the Droid being equal to a minifigure, but fair play.
I like the Spidey gift and I assume it's meant to be one of Spider-Man's camera setups to sell pictures of himself to the bugle, but would it really have been that hard for them to give us some names on the signs
The super battle droid has appeared in some past advent calendars, but before this year it actually did have a long disappearance, and I think you put the arms on wrong.
Hi Jeremy, yes i think the castle should have won first place. But I can see where you are coming from. I am happy that HP is still in the running. I doubt that they win. Too bad that Lego puts spoilers on the box. I hope you have a great day.
This is I think the 3rd or 4th year in a row Star Wars has given us a battledroid in an advent calendar. But those were B1 battle droids. So I guess Lego decided to put in a B2 battledroid and hope we wouldn't notice
Almost impossible to judge today. For reference, I write these comments before I hear Jeremy's scoring to avoid any influence. On days like today, places 2-6 could be in literally any order, so if you strongly disagree on any of those scores, I completely understand! 6 points - Star Wars. A nice change from the usual Clone Trooper. 5 points - Marvel. As I said with Friends yesterday, including some nice elements with the filler gifts goes a long, long way. 4 points - Disney. Not as nice as Moana's island, but still a pretty little build. 3 points - Friends. The rabbit's scoring the points here. The rest is just stuff for the sake of it. 2 points - City. At least it has a little play value, but that's about it. Would have had a lot more play value with a minifigure! 1 point - Harry Potter. OK build for a tree, but why on earth use two different shades of green - to me that just looks awful! Festive Bonus Point - Harry Potter. Scores - City 21, Star Wars 16, Disney 16, Friends 14, Harry Potter 12, Marvel 9.
I'm guessing that the camera on the streetlight is supposed to take a picture of whoever slips on the banana peel. How I don't know! And did Spidey set up a prank fall?
Ariel's castle is colorful & cute! Gift of the day for me! I did also like the tiny bunny by LEGO Friends. Spider-Man has been the biggest loser this year! Awful collection of bricks from Spidey, so far!
I always regret not buying one of the calendars in the first few days but then the filler starts to turn up and I remember why I prioritised buying food for the children instead.

This competition is the most important thing to happen this year
Oh wow, that is more praise than I deserve but thank you!
Don’t wanna be that guy… but that B2 Battle Droids arms are looking quite *W I D E* …
(Wrong way around lol)
Oops. That's what the comments are here for!

A B2 Battle droid is at least an upgrade from the B1 battle droid we used to get every year.
I'm almost disappointed that I'm disappointed about no B1.
Even on the days that feel like filler you can get some nice elements, love the banana skin. And the bunny looks like it's in a straitjacket!
Agreed on the nice elements. Some really nice bits and pieces in these calendars.
I ADORE this series, every year is a banger!
You're the best. Thanks for the kind comments!
I would argue that a battle droid constitutes as a figure, as it does take on a humanoid form.
Fair comment. #droidsarehumanstoo
Was underwhelmed by HP Christmas tree, but mid tier ranking is where it belongs. Feels like every year HP supplies ample Christmas tree varieties.
Hopefully one and done!
The secret to being in the recaps is highlighting hammy isn’t it @11:46
genuinely love this series i have a the lego city one and its fun to see what the other ones have in them
LEGO City is one of my favorites. Much better price point and some great minifigures.
Even when the builds are puny
Jeremy is particularly punny!
I do like the street light from spiderman as it a reference to the games
I feel woefully unprepared to judge Spider-Man based on my limited knowledge.

Get well soon!

Never too early for Dumbledore's bonus point suggestions. I like the second chance option. Best of the worst.
May I also suggest a best “when you don’t judge them alone” category?
It’s not Christmas without Jeremy’s advent calendar countdown.

Yes, yes, yes! Better than Princess guff.
I would love to see that.
5:26 I know it's a joke, but you're actually right: Inflation's at the point where everything at Dollar Tree now costs $1.25 instead of just THE $1.

I feel like Ariel’s castle shouldda got first. Otherwise totally agree on today’s judging. I don’t get the banana referee for Spiderman
I didn't feel good about the battle droid, but the Star Wars fans are very vocal in the comments!

Dang. Lego city fell off their pedestal today.
I liked the tie fighter WAAAAY more than the droid. I thought the build was fun yesterday but not as fun as the first build.
