Time is a flat circle and now we've got this and the PSA Jakl and who knows what else for foldy, bufferless AR-ish platforms. It was before the advent of the pistol brace and a few years before the AWB expired though, so once they could finally sell them, they were stuck with 16" barrels, no market existed when the product needed one and they couldn't price it low enough.

This would be kool in like a 45 Auto, or 10MM. Or even a .50AE...Personally I don't like rifle calibers with barrels shorter than 10".
If its between this or like a POF-USA Renegade+ Pistol, I'd take the Renegade+. Its about as lightweight, has crazy ergos, and nice system upgrades, but still takes all standard AR parts. Its super easy to handle, and is dead accurate with nice velocity and effective range. Anything similar is just as good, like the Geissle Super Duty Pistol.

A .300blk version is the best way to go for sure, I’m waiting on my pre order to come in myself, I got a 10mm XDM OSP and love the best mm, but .300blk is the better choice both with subs and supersonic rounds. More ammo availability and they hit harder. For a pdw .300blk > 10mm now for a handgun of course 10mm > 9mm. Real excited to get my own Dissent hopefully soon, they said day one when I placed the pre order in June that they’d ship in September…looks like they’ve had some set backs.

Unpopular opinion: Barrels that short would be better in stout pistol calibres - Chamber that design in 7.5 FK and you have an extra 2-3 inches of barrel for the same OAL, far less blast even without a muzzle device, and it'll penetrate IIIA
...and you can use FK Pistol mags

I was friends with the Arlington County, Virginia Commonwealth Attorney and from discussions with her the difficulty justifying a citizen involved shooting starts to increase dramatically past 10 yards. About the only situation where you justify even a 25 yard shot is an active shooter event. Where PDWs make the most sense is home defense.

Oh and can that brace be moved up or down on that mounting rail? Would be nice to drop it down and mount the red dot low for more intuitive pointing, especially since it’s a CQB gat. Keep up the good work 👍

Not having a dust cover might be a problem in that I picture this platform being used as a truck/bug-out/home defence gun, where it is mostly just sitting around in vehicles or the home collecting dust and other detritus. Having said that, I was trying to get a good still-frame when you were showing off the pistol, and from what I could see, it appears the BCG pretty much occluded the ejection port. Maybe, if an operator was concerned, a bit of masking tape with a piece of paper so it doesn’t stick to the BCG, but tears when the pistol fires would ’fix’ the problem.
I desperately need one in 300BO.
