Do you understand how energy prices are affect the cost of pretty much everything? Civilization is built on energy. The more that the farmer and the truck driver have to pay for gas, the more we have to pay for groceries.
Increase the supply of energy, the price of energy goes down, the price of everything else goes down ( basic market economics).

And most people have no idea what is really going on and think we are two steps away from becoming Venezuela.
