What a fantastic, informative and educational feature by Lord Muck. Showing us (none farmer folk) how Michelin tyres are helping the agricultural industry improve its cost effective base by utilising Michelin tyre technology with third party tyre inflation systems to lower and improve long term soil compaction issues. Something that will in time lower the long term investments by farmers through forward planning. This directly helping to lower the cost of food production. Understanding how tyre selection, pressure range, tyre size and tread pattern can directly affect the productivity of crop yield and capitol equipment costs is something every farmer, (and farm worker) need to understand in today’s competitive marketplace. Soil compaction has been an increasing issue over many years. As the size and weight of farming equipment has progressively increased because of the predominate row-crop pattern culture globally. This has seen farmers losing time and profits through fuel and manpower usage to prepare ground for sowing and cultivation of crops. The demonstration of tyre moulding in the coloured sand with a cutaway was an excellent example of how technology can dramatically improve productivity, lower soil compaction and ultimately lower the cost of growing and cultivating crops. Something every farmer needs in their tool box. But for me, the fun factor feature on tyre technology was the modern self propelled sprayers item. It was both informative and enjoyable, with a serious message. Tall, thin tyres on a tall machine that can carry many tonnes of liquid chemicals that can be driven on open country roads at up to 60 KPH, that is able to manoeuvre with great agility in a safe a stable manor. What more can be said. This feature on Michelin VF Tyre technologies by Lord Much was just what UA-cam is all about. Fun, yet educational and informative. Great job Mucker. 🚜👍
My favourite demonstration is the soil compaction levels in the field incredible to see the difference air pressure and design does to help the ground 👍🏻
The sand compression/compaction demonstration was the best. Particularly well explained & easy visual demonstration that the new comer or maybe younger less experienced person could grasp.
My favourite demonstration was the compaction of tires in the field it was a eye opener especially to me as I cart onions and potatoes on fen soil never thought about the tires before.
I loved the part of the video with the sand pit showing the different levels of compaction. I learned from it anyway.. People have always said I look like bibendum with a white puffer jacket on!
The tractor and trailer showing the tire inflation and deflation systems especially on the trailer how the air Came out of the hubs great video Kurt 👌🏻
For me the soil compression test really hits home how much you can protect the soil with the correct tyres and air pressure. More like these videos Mucker 👍
The sand tables/blocks. Visually showing the foot print and soil compaction or lack there of. This is fantastic stuff. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe out there. Cheers
My favourite is the sandpit demonstration it’s just so easy to see and really useful information. I’m very conscious of of compaction on our ground the grass definitely shows up compaction quickly. On our small scale central tyre inflation is unlikely to be justifiable but stopping and adjusting tyre pressures is and I constantly monitor our tyre pressure to make sure we are running at the optimum. Well done fantastic video. Have fun😅
Sprayer test has to be the most impressive how it can tip that much but continue to grip is incredible and changes the self propelled sprayer game Great video mucker
The soil compaction test for me was the most interesting. Knew that lowering your pressure helped but to see it displayed like that was very fascinating 👍🏻
That sparayer demo was very good - often wondered about the possibility of speed and the overall agility of the sprayer as a whole. Bet it was great fun to experiance 🙂 A very interesting video as a whole, thank you - a new way to think of things to come.
I enjoyed the sprayer section of the show but also found the trailer tyre section showing compaction very interesting, another great informative video keep up the good work
My favourite test was the sand table/ compression test it's amazing to see how much difference a few bar of pressure can affect the footprint and travel so drastically.
The cross sections in the sand where a great demonstration the picking the right tyre is only part of the process tyre pressure is critical to getting the best from the tyre in efficiency and return on investment Great video 👍
I used to think "flotation" meant just for water, but then I learned it's the footprint of the tire on the soil, the compaction of it. And of course, the less compaction, the less likely to get stuck. Greater productivity. And......your soil isnt filled with sunken spots. 👍👌 I really like those on board inflators.
For me it was the soil compaction test showing the difference tyre pressures make. I drive off road a lot on sites and landfills in a 8 wheeler tipper where there is a fine line between stuck and not stuck. Armed with the tyre pressure and compaction knowledge learned here, hopefully I can avoid getting stuck on a tip or site in the future. 👍🏻🚜
Great videos , amazing what a difference it makes lower tyre pressures so much , just loved the crop sprayer with such narrow tyres doing its course 👍👍👍👍
Great video mucker, must say my favourite test was definitely the fuel consumption test. Wouldn't really think it would effect it as much as it does! Being able to let air out in the field to save fuel but then pumping them up to go on the road saving more on fuel! Love it
Excellent demonstration with the sand pits ! The ideas have been about for a long time now tyre technology is catching up to make a single tyre that is truly multi role especially with the use of CTIS and having it integrated into the Prime movers control centres ! Great bud as always :)
The foot print test was the best you would think they are two different tyres not the same tyre at a lower pressure very interesting love tyre technology
The soil / sand compaction was fasinating, I remember being told years ago by a Michelin rep, if you had Michelin dual wheels and dropped the pressure right down it was equal to one of the big flotations that was then coming on the market.
Enjoyed the most the new holland pulling the two case tractors mucker and how much ground pressure differs with wind out bloody interesting mucker wish they could showed the impression the x wife used leave in my orthopaedic bed lol be lucky carry on good show mucker
I really enjoyed the trailer tyre one its fascinating how trailer tyre technology has come on and very often overlooked especially with soil protection being a bigger thing now
What a revelation 😳 changing tyre pressure for road work and fieldwork has been sort of standard practice on tractors for years. But on trailers never always were told. Keep them up to pressure 🤔 have had a few hairy moments with tractor mounted sprayers on 42x8 tyres great video 👍

Great job Mucker. 🚜👍
My favourite part was the sand test because of the way you put it in simple terms
My favourite demonstration is the soil compaction levels in the field incredible to see the difference air pressure and design does to help the ground 👍🏻
I believe Michelin should have hired you to be the salesman your explanation is very clear
Fascinating stuff - thanks for explaining the difference tyres and inflation make to farming and the environment.
I like the way they demonstrated with the different layers of sand and the compaction
The sand compression/compaction demonstration was the best. Particularly well explained & easy visual demonstration that the new comer or maybe younger less experienced person could grasp.
