I appreciate your efforts in returning to your ancestral village. Most Pakistani Punjabi feel utterly ashamed to tell that their ancestors were from a certain village, and because of that, they do not speak their mother tongue, Punjabi. And those who speak Punjabi are frowned upon. Before the Partition of Punjab and Bengal (not Bangladesh), people were living together, and then GORA divided the people.

Well, that's my uncle Chaudhry Younas Wahlah. In case you didn't know, Smoking is very much part of Punjabi culture. We enjoy it, love it, celebrate it and share it with friends. Tobacco is used in social gatherings and friends' get together for the same reason.

And you don't have sense to think before saying something. Smoking infront of a guest has nothing to do with respect or disrespect. Its part of culture. They are in open area. Moreover, its a chit chat going on and for chain smokers its hard to prolong a chit chat without smoking.
