On a side note, I just switched back to my 15 year old 5.1 receiver. The Samsung sound bar I got sounded awesome in Best Buy but sounds light at my house compared to my Yamaha. I'll have to try watching a movie but music doesn't sound that great. The audio mixing is really good but I just can't get past only having center direction of sound.
Hello there, which Samsung Soundbar would you recommend, HW-B650 or HW-Q60T? I couldn't even see the differences clearly. Can they both connect to my Samsung smartphone via bluetooth?
@milvarh You can connect to either one through bluetooth. As far as which one to choose, it depends. The 60 supports Q Symphony so if your TV has that feature you can take advantage. The 60 also supports Atmos and has 4K HDR passthrough. If you don't need those features, the 650 is a great option since it still sounds really good and gives you the dedicated center channel for dialog. @SamElis-fl5ri We have never had a chance to listen to the JBL 270 so it's hard to say, but the Samsung B650 sounded really good. That particular model is no longer being made for the US market though. It's been replaced with the HWB750D, which is a step up from the 650 and sounds fantastic. We are currently out of stock, but do have more units on the way. Be sure to give our experts a call at 800-860-3736 if you have more questions or would care to place an order. Hi -- thanks for the review, it was helpful. Please let me know the best setting for music (like youtube music videos). I understand the settings for movies, makes sense. Also, please elaborate a bit on the addiotnal speakers for 5.1 surround. Thanks, Ryan
@RyanTMcNally It's hard to say definitively what someone else is going to like, but our recommendation for music would either be the Adaptive mode or Standard mode. In reality, it's whatever you think sounds the best. As for the additional speakers, because this can decode 5.1, if you add the SWA9100S or SWA9200S surround kit you can get a full 5.1 channel surround experience.
I got the HW-B63M and in the owners manual it says it comes with a wall mount guide. I cannot find it anywhere in the box or printed on the box. Anyone else have that problem? Thanks for the video.
@muthustamil The differences between the two are minor. The B series is the newer model between the two. It has an updated design and better video passthrough capabilities. As far as the sound is concerned, it will be hard to hear a difference.
@javieralejandro931 The better overall setup is the JBL. But there is a pretty big price discrepancy so if you're looking to save money, the Samsung is a great option. But if you have the budget for it, the JBL would be the way to go between those two options.
Nice review but I'm having trouble using the wall mount brackets . My Speakers are the Samsung HW-B63C 5.1There is NO instructions for this. The screws that came with the S-Bar are too short to go through mounting buttons to reach the only mounting points on the rear of the speaker. ? The brackets seem to only have one option for placement. I used longer screws to mount the bracket Buttons but the brackets need longer legs or reconfiguration to allow wall mounting. Any Videos that show this type of installation.
@toddevelyn4602 They are almost identical. Acoustically, you likely won't hear a difference. We'd suggest going with the B650 as it's the newer version. Here's a link to our current pricing: bit.ly/3i993AK

@@abtelectronics thank you, i went ahead and purchased that model, i did however take my SONY HTCT290 apart to see why my left side of sound bar was not working thinking it was a circuit board and i would be able to just get a new board from Ebay as i did when the subwoofer stopped working 2 years ago i did research and found that a circuit board in that model "was a known problem "... i ordered the board put it in and sub worked great as it should ... so whats the chance of taking the bar apart finding the correct malfunctioning board right ? well i removed the grill on the sony bar , wiggeled a few wires , hooked it back up ( as i had already purchased the Samsung i asked about ) knowing it wouldnt work and knowing sony is making garbage AND IT WORKED, im still not happy with the sony though, it doesnt have a front facing midrange and i cant find any tweeters !!, but both left and right speakers ( the bar only has 2 speakers , left and right ) i think, and a sub, but its going to my mothers room for her TV and i will get the Samsung, i can add 2 or 3 more speakers for surround sometime later by the way its difficult being an audiophile with only one ear, im deaf in my left ear so headphones are a complete waste, i found ONE sided headphones made by STANT single sided Dj approx ten years ago, they still work after some jb weld to hold brackets that were broken, but the left side is like Dj headphones, there is no over ear speaker on that side, just a padded side that sits above that ear, maybe temple height the foam is missing from so they cause headaches , its a very tight clamp , but man thanks for getting back to me with this info, i thought it was a 6.5 speaker in that woofer since 6.5 is in the model number... thanks again ...and if you have any info about single sided headphones i would appreciate it.
@fingerfeller Glad to hear you were able to get the Sony soundbar working. As far as the single sided headphones go, at the moment we don't carry any brands that offer that option. If anything changes we'll be sure to update this comment with the brand and model.
@@abtelectronics thanks, i did not know your channel was store/business related with products, i thought that was illegal, on youtube, ( i really had no idea )... but since mom is still alive and shes the survibing spouse of a veteran we still shop at the navy exchange and commissary , and the sony was a steal when i got it years ago, so is the samsung i asked about PLUS free shipping and no tax for her ( us), the exchange has some high end soundbars but i cant afford BOSE or JBL, SONOS etc... would you say the samsung is midrange compared to those brands and lower end ONN and Hisense bar systems because ii almost went with the JBL, but it doesnt have the capability to go from 3.1 to 5.1 with wifi add on kits , hell i was thinking of getting the BOSE bar and add the subwoofer at a later date but the BOSE woofer was 400$ , more than the bar, returns are easy to the exchange online store and i have only ever had a samsung phone, i will let you know my final decision, im sure your tired of me flapping my yap, but i will definatley browse your store, theres notelling what i might find i " need " lol
@fingerfeller Sounds good! As far as quality goes, we've always found the Samsung soundbars to be a very good value. We carry a very wide selection of products and our experts are available 7 days a week to help with any questions you may have.
@RaptureLSRP There are definitely some differences. The B650 comes with a separate wireless sub that provides bass that is a little more impactful, but it's only a 3.1 channel system out of the box (you can add Samsung surrounds to make it 5.1 if you want). The Q60B is more compact (no wireless sub included) and is 5.0 channels so if you're trying to conserve space this is a great way to do it. Both sound good, but if you want more bass right out of the box we'd say go with the 650. If you need help with an order please be sure to give our experts a call at 800-860-3736. They can also tell you about any promotions we have going on that can't be advertised online.
Thanks. I've actually purchased the q60b for a good deal and trying to work out most of use it has. I would say im happy about the subwoofer power as I won't be using at max anyway. I think its enough what it offers. Just trying to work out the best settings these samsung soundbars offer, eq etc. The q60b actually is 3.1 too just seems weaker output
Hello and thank u for ur video , I just uploaded my Samsung tv to 75 inch Q60 , and I’m having hard to decide which sound bar should I go , the one I have now is 2017 model , which is better for my tv this sound bar or q60b sound bar , I’m not a gamer guy , I’m movie and sport guy , and I’m looking for more bass and sound
@Besfort Jasiqi The HWQ60B would be the better choice. It has very similar features to the HWB650 soundbar, but also gets Q-Symphony. Using that feature will make anything you're listening to sound fuller. Here's a link to our latest pricing on the Q60B soundbar: bit.ly/3FTmH4s
I can't seem to use the remote to control volume? I connected our Samsung TV to the soundbar with an optical cable and setup the TV to output to external device via optic. Strange? Do you have an idea, the TV remote also does no ot work when controling sound
@TheCooGuR Try this method. 1. Turn off the soundbar 2. Push Up and hold the Woofer button for 5 seconds or until the display on the soundbar reads Samsung TV Remote That should allow the TVs remote to work to control the volume on the soundbar.
@Lenoire79 It doesn't look like the HWB660 is available in our market (United States). We weren't able to find specifications on the 660 to compare the two models.
Does the soundbar not have any base at all by itself without connecting to the woofer? I have a small bluetooth speaker that has better base that this soundbar. Not sure if I set it up correctly. Didn’t see much on remote to set up tones.
@Ashok Bhusal The soundbar itself won't produce much bass. Be sure to double check the subwoofer is connected, and use the Sub button on the remote to turn the bass up if it's connected and you're still not feeling any. If it was purchased from Abt, you can always give our technicians a call and they can help walk you through the process: www.abt.com/help/contact-us Thanks for watching!
@@abtelectronics sub button? Or woofer buttons up/down? I have same issue. Turned both the bass up to +6 and the woofer volume up and its like the sub is barely making any noise. I have the Samsung - HW-B650/ZA. Any ideas?
@nemanja7070 Both models have 220W subwoofers. The LG, however, has an HDMI input as well, and the soundbar itself is more powerful, so we'd say to go with the SN5. We also have it on sale now through 4/2/23. Here's a link to our latest pricing: bit.ly/3TxA7bo
@nemanja7070 Sorry for the mix up. I completely misread your original comment. You wrote 650 and I looked up the specs for the HWB450. The HWB650 sub is 250W, which is higher than the 220W on the LG. It's also a 3.1 channel system which will give you better dialog as well. The LG is only 2.1 so you don't get that dedicated center channel.
@TravisStahlerSings We don't carry Vizio products at our store so we don't have one here to compare it to directly. The Vizio is pretty cool with the included surround speakers, but we found the HWB650 to sound fantastic from our tests.
@ronaldwenzel3317 We haven't had complaints of this happening consistently. Though any time devices are connected wirelessly through bluetooth the chance of a signal interruption is always possible.
@Ronald Wenzel Yes, it will definitely work with a 2022 Sony TV, but we would also suggest taking a look at the Sony HTG700 as well: bit.ly/3JyfhWm It's on sale through 2/5/23
@iantodd3377 The JBL is about double the cost of the HWB650 currently. It's a better sounding soundbar, but for a small room, like you said, it probably won't make a big difference. If you're thinking about ordering one, be sure to contact our home theater experts at 800-860-3736. They can also tell you about any promotions we have running that we can't advertise online.
great video. trying to find out the difference between the b650 and the b63m. not sure if one is better than the other. please let me know asap. thanks again.
@james jordan It's very hard to tell. The only thing we found was the B650 model has 30 more watts of total power (430 vs 400). Otherwise it appears they share all the same features. If we hear anything else from Samsung we'll update the comment.
@RandyBandit34 It has a feature called Dynamic Range Control, or DRC. This will automatically turn down loud sounds on Dolby Digital tracks. To turn it on or off press and hold the Sound Mode button on the remote for more than 5 seconds. You'll see the information on the display of the soundbar to know whether the feature is on or off.
@RandyBandit34 They're both designed to limit the loudness of the audio being output. They are both effective, but it's hard to say definitively that one is better than the other.
@iAmAkSoma The Q60B offers 4K video passthrough and an enhanced audio return channel that can accept a Dolby Atmos signal. It also has the Q Symphony feature which will work with compatible Samsung TVs. The B650 has more total system power though. If you don't have a TV that works with Q Symphony, or you're not interested in Dolby Atmos, the B650 would be the better value.
@ThilaW The Q600B is the better of the two by far. It has Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, plus if it has the Q Symphony feature which adds more depth if you have a compatible Samsung TV. If you need any assistance finding the right one for your needs, or you want to hear about our latest promotions on these soundbars, you can always contact an Abt specialist 7 days a week at this link: www.abt.com/specialists
Hello from Greece.your videos are amazing!i want to make a question please! I have this soundbar connected with optical cable in a Samsung 7000 series 2020 50" tv and i want to ask you change my sound mode from pcm to Dolby to my consoles (ps5+seriesx)or leave it default as it is! furthermore i use the adaptive line mode with Voice enchange on! please help me with your advise to my questions.please
@user-rr3zi9tn3x Thank you for your kind words! Since the HWB650 can accept a Dolby 5.1 channel signal, we'd suggest setting your TV to Dolby. The voice enhance mode is good to use if you're looking for the dialog to stand out more. You should try it both on and off to see which sounds better to you. Some content will benefit from it being turned on, and some will sound better with it off.
@@abtelectronics even if the soundbar is 3.1 the channel will be 5.1 with Dolby.and one more question!why when i put it in Dolby is more loud than pcm even if the voice volume is setted in the same level for example i set in both in 25 and in Dolby mode is more loudly
Thanks! Looking to upgrade my aging entry-level Samsung HW-J355 from 2015. I definitely want a centre channel. Can the HDMI input pass through 4K and HDR?
@Mark H This one does not, but the HW-Q60B does, and it has Q-Symphony in case you have a compatible TV. There's also a price promotion running through 8/14. Here's a link to check it out: bit.ly/3vVh8N6 Thanks for watching!
Hello sir, I bought this soundbar and connected it to my Samsung TV but I have a problem; I can't hear sound from 3 channels at the same time on HDMI or Bluetooth. If I choose the standard setting, I hear sound from the two side speakers but no sound in the middle, if I choose adaptive, I hear sound only from the middle channel. If I choose surround, it comes from the middle but a scratchy low sound comes from the sides. Why can't I hear sound from 3 channels at the same time?? If there is no urgent help, I will have to return it :(
@PsYVla Definitely. You get a dedicated center channel in the B650 which is going to make dialog much clearer. For that small of a cost difference you're much better off going with the 650.
@@abtelectronics Yes you are right maybe even better is going with some 2.1 amp with Wharfedale diamond 220 bookshelf speakers, and later one sub. we will see... I fell in love of the sound of Diamond 220...
@PsYVla That wouldn't be a bad way to go either, but will be a larger investment overall. Good luck with your choice, and we hope you enjoy it whichever way you decide to go!
@Rudolfo Suarez No, this model does not come with an HDMI cable. You'll need to purchase one separately if you don't already have an extra at home. If you need help finding one, be sure to contact our experts here at Abt: www.abt.com/help/contact-us Thanks for watching!
@ephzibah They're close, but the Q600B would be considered a better soundbar. The Q600B has true Atmos and DTS:X capabilities, as well as the Q Symphony feature that can be used with compatible Samsung TVs, plus overall better sound quality.
@abtelectronics thank you now. In your opinion, are these good enough, or should I get the 9500s. Is there a big enough difference to where one way better then the other?
@kevincallaghan9529 The 9500 supports Dolby Atmos, but the HWB650 soundbar doesn't have Atmos speakers in the top so we'd say you're better off going with the 9200s.
@devzadevza The center channel will be located right in the middle of the soundbar. It's main purpose is to drive the dialog. If you're having trouble hearing it you may need to press the CH LEVEL button on the remote to select CENTER LEVEL and turn it up. If you purchased your soundbar from Abt and are still having trouble please send your contact information to youtube@abt.com and we can have one of our technicians reach out to try and help by phone. We offer free lifetime technical support on any products purchased from our store.
@Abjt G It's not significantly better. If you already have the HWA650, there's no need to replace it with this one. You'd need to move up to a Q series soundbar to notice any kind of difference, like this one: bit.ly/3bjgoKw Thanks for watching!
Unfortunately this Soundbar does not have an auxiliary output. You'd think gaming monitors would have both options for optical or hdmi arc capabilities but no they don't. I have an 32 inch LG gaming monitor I'm using with my Xbox series x which that's another dumb investment since they no longer support optical and neither arc capabilities. So basically this Soundbar I was thinking of investing into would be nothing more than a paper weight being that I would not be able to use this with either my monitor or Xbox series x. It's almost as if it was intentionally done to push big screened tvs. Well I'm not going to buy something that's not practical for my setup. Looks like I'll have to keep looking at older model Soundbars that still use auxiliary. I've argued with Microsoft and monitor manufacturer's who make gaming monitors over limited sound port technology. You see before, gaming consoles were never thought of being used with gaming monitors because of their limitations graphically which makes sense, however since Xbox one x and now series X the consoles are now more in line with PC gaming graphically and audibility. There is no reason why gaming monitors should not reflect on technology advances on gaming consoles and work to add features like arc, optical and even Bluetooth. I suppose I could have bought a regular 32 inch TV, however they do not have any cost wise models with high refresh rates geared towards these newer consoles that can utilize that. Don't get me wrong, they do have 32 inch tvs with high refresh rates but at a lofty $1000.00 price. Bad enough Microsoft removed optical from their new console but didn't put hdmi arc capabilities. How else were people not using regular tvs going to use Soundbars for superior sound? Anyway stay clear of this if you plan to use a gaming monitor with your gaming console whether Xbox series X or PS5.
@Mr Green If you're looking for a great sounding, reasonably priced soundbar with an auxiliary input, check out the Yamaha SRC30A: bit.ly/3JwRA0D It is one of the best budget minded soundbars we've listened to, and it has a 3.5mm aux input.

Is there much difference between B650 and Q60B ? Which one is more superior? Thanks

Does this have 4k passthrough for the arc?
I can't seem to use the remote to control volume? I connected our Samsung TV to the soundbar with an optical cable and setup the TV to output to external device via optic. Strange? Do you have an idea, the TV remote also does no ot work when controling sound
@TheCooGuR Try this method.
1. Turn off the soundbar
2. Push Up and hold the Woofer button for 5 seconds or until the display on the soundbar reads Samsung TV Remote
That should allow the TVs remote to work to control the volume on the soundbar.
Is this the same model as HW-B660?
@Lenoire79 It doesn't look like the HWB660 is available in our market (United States). We weren't able to find specifications on the 660 to compare the two models.
@@abtelectronics Linked above :) is it the same?
Any ideas?
Which is better Samsung HW-B650 or LG SN5? I need very good bass.
@@abtelectronics You are wrong, Samsung HW-A650 has subwoofer with 250-watt built-in amplifier and it has HDMI connection.
How does this compare to the Vizio V51-H6 5.1 Sound-bar Setup as that is $10 cheaper right now?
@TravisStahlerSings We don't carry Vizio products at our store so we don't have one here to compare it to directly. The Vizio is pretty cool with the included surround speakers, but we found the HWB650 to sound fantastic from our tests.
I herd from a different review that sometimes the sound bar will disconnect every once in a while like once a week. Have you experienced this?
@ronaldwenzel3317 We haven't had complaints of this happening consistently. Though any time devices are connected wirelessly through bluetooth the chance of a signal interruption is always possible.
I need help, I’m trying to switch in between audio sync, night mode and sound enchane but I’m stuck on audio sync. How do I switch it?
Will it work with a 2022 Sony 65" Bravia TV
@Ronald Wenzel Yes, it will definitely work with a 2022 Sony TV, but we would also suggest taking a look at the Sony HTG700 as well: bit.ly/3JyfhWm It's on sale through 2/5/23
I saw you mentioned, there could be surround speakers plugged
@iantodd3377 This model works with the SWA9200 surround speaker system from Samsung.
@@abtelectronics sweet, I am between this and the JBL 500 , although the JBL is 5.1 in a small room makes little difference
I have b63m too I can’t find any information this is pretty much the same thing. There’s like 1 review and a guy is just bashing it for some reason.
does anyone know how to make it so it automatically turns on with the tv?
Does this soundbar have auto volume?
@RandyBandit34 It has a feature called Dynamic Range Control, or DRC. This will automatically turn down loud sounds on Dolby Digital tracks. To turn it on or off press and hold the Sound Mode button on the remote for more than 5 seconds. You'll see the information on the display of the soundbar to know whether the feature is on or off.
@@abtelectronics thanks for the info!
@abtelectronics hey i had one more question is drc better than truvolume or basicly the same?
@RandyBandit34 They're both designed to limit the loudness of the audio being output. They are both effective, but it's hard to say definitively that one is better than the other.
@abtelectronics ok cool with me as long as it does the same thing thanks for the help!!!
Thanks for information.
Curious how this compares to the Q60B soundbar and subwoofer
@iAmAkSoma The Q60B offers 4K video passthrough and an enhanced audio return channel that can accept a Dolby Atmos signal. It also has the Q Symphony feature which will work with compatible Samsung TVs. The B650 has more total system power though. If you don't have a TV that works with Q Symphony, or you're not interested in Dolby Atmos, the B650 would be the better value.
Which one is better when compare Q600B vs B650?
@ThilaW The Q600B is the better of the two by far. It has Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, plus if it has the Q Symphony feature which adds more depth if you have a compatible Samsung TV.
If there is no urgent help, I will have to return it :(
That is how surround sound works.
difference between b550 and b650 in my country is only 45usd more for b650 is it really worth buying b650 over b550?
@@abtelectronics yes larger but the sound man I can't forget it was so pleased to listen it worth to spend some bucks I will see thanks btw
Does this come with an HDMI cable? I checked the specks and it doesn’t say.

sounds good! but can you explain again how is possible to upgrade to 5.1? which is the exact type?
@Artur Seer If you're looking for 5.1 channel sound you'll need to add the SWA9200 surround speakers: bit.ly/3NxWc6n
Is this a better sound bar compared to the samsung q600b sound bar?
@ephzibah They're close, but the Q600B would be considered a better soundbar. The Q600B has true Atmos and DTS:X capabilities, as well as the Q Symphony feature that can be used with compatible Samsung TVs, plus overall better sound quality.
Is it possible to use this bar with Q symphony?
@Jeff Ratz This model does not have Q Symphony available. You'd need to move up to the HWQ60B, which is on sale through 10/30/22: bit.ly/3TJHpI4
Can the subwoofer be placed on its side?
@David Yeez You technically can, but your experience will likely not be as good as if it's sitting upright because of the subwoofers design.
What surround pair with this sound bar
@kevincallaghan9529 The SWA9200S is what to use with this soundbar. Here's a link to learn more: bit.ly/3NMYdMy
Okay, thank you. i was told by samsung tech support only one I can gwt were the 9500s which are like 250
@abtelectronics thank you now.
@@abtelectronics sweet thank you so much for the info

@bernny15jackson4 Total for the whole system is 430 Watts.
where is center channel? i dont hear in the midle
@devzadevza The center channel will be located right in the middle of the soundbar. It's main purpose is to drive the dialog. @jeanparacelse This also has a max level of +6 for the bass setting.
Is this significantly better than A series HW A650?
@Abjt G It's not significantly better. If you already have the HWA650, there's no need to replace it with this one. You'd need to move up to a Q series soundbar to notice any kind of difference, like this one: bit.ly/3bjgoKw Thanks for watching!
@@abtelectronics hello, why is that better than the one in this video? is it worth it more worth it to get the q series for $400
Unfortunately this Soundbar does not have an auxiliary output.
