this is the build i run. not a lot of people know if you equip 3x Heaved Hand mod on your gauntlets, cooldown for orbs of power drops down to 1 second. meaning you can potentially get 1 orb per powered melee. add on the 1 or 2 Invigoration mod + 1 Recuperation mod and your melee cooldown drops to 20 seconds. and you get healed per orb pick.
As someone who only plays titan, it just feels punishing to use him anywhere this season compared to hunters or warlocks, even with prismatic, does anyone feel this or is it just me? Punishing might not be the right word to use but it just feels out-tiered in every aspect by the other two classes
Titan sucks, and I main titan, but its hard to play titan these days, it has nothing, prismatic is really good but its only consegration and thats it (maybe if it had better ASPECTS because they all SUCK like the abilities which are terrible choices too) theres no variety in titans prismatic compared to hunter and warlock, and the class items, titan only needs inmost light and syntoceps thats it, theres no point on farming for another role (maybe cowl and synto, but its just synto over and over again), hunter and warlocks are worth farming because they have a lot of fun roles, they just gave titan the most dogwater exotic perks possible. At this point titan is only used for lowmans because of grapple, but now hunter does that too?, even if it’s situational, its much better when it works

Feel the same and very strongly. I"ve been super vocal from the first couple hours of tfs about how titan is crap. I boosted my warlock and played one gm on getaway artist and was blown away at how much better it is than titan prismatic. Were lacking and or behind in about every single way. Even strand isn't that great anymore in gm's.
Something to point out i did some quick testing, the damage time window to use multiple of the melees is long enough for you to use a 1-2 punch shotty inbetween shots
@topcatgamer9402 I used my crafted crota shotty with enhanced 12p, I was not paying attention to numbers but the buff from the exotic after using an empowered melee. It was going to base, x2, x3 etc with a shotty shot between every melee. I think the window for chaining melee.shots.is like 3 or 4 seconds. At least that is what it looks like on my screen with the exotic buff icon. So if you can easily add 12p to the equation it can change the numbers A LOT by having a 4th 12p + melee charge
Still running synthos with a god roll Xenoclast + a solid melee roll on Better Devils, I must be the only person really enjoying bannerpunch titan still I think :( Better devils - Pugilist + Swashbuckler ( yes it's a meh roll, but for what I'm using it for it's fantastic) Used to refund melee when clearing adds, With the bigger tangle blast radius this thing makes sniping them super easy. Xenoclast - Grave robber + 1,2 punch. Simple enough, Grapple > Shotgun > tractor 3x melee Super = tonnes of damage on big boys. Tractor cannon - as noted above simply used to buff up our "burst" also helps the team out :) (I sometimes swap out Better devils for Quicksilver storm, Solid weapon for this build as grenades generate Tangles, And with that I use a Vorpal The other half, But would like to test out some vortex frame swords!) Typical Banner setup fragments. I'm able to constantly keep up tangles thanks to fragments + threaded blast helps refund tonnes of melee. Really fun build but bare in mind I play with a friend 80% of the time so we're on comms and can play around each other so it really helps out.
Nice dude, sounds like a classic. Sometimes if you have a build and become a master with it there is no need to change. Strand titan is still very strong. Seasonal surges and artifact don't really favor it though. Definitely try out guillotine of perhaps one of the new exotic swords. Vortex Polaris is quite nice.

I just love how they gutted BoW Titan which is still our best build but allow Hunters to run around killing everything with Prismatic melee builds with Caliban and Liars Handshake exotic class item and also allow them to go invisible all the time. Clearly Bungie hates Titans, hopefully the buffs they talked about come soon
This thing is not meta while grapple chaining remains so strong. But if frenzied blade ever outclasses grapple nade, this will instantly be better. This exotic is geared towards team play and with high stacks of banner, enough allies and a 1-2p shotgun/bastion shot in between this is effectively unlimited strand melees doing 4x damage each. Also its great for team support. Keeps a melee range boss perpetually severed and is great for tractor cannon users as it gives a great consistent form of dealing extended damage.
Honestly I feel they should've had this niche from the start being the class that meant to main grapple. That said, I don't see the point in nerfing one just to hand it over, you're completely rite. That said, were meant to break stuff this season :)

Good advice :) I'm crafting a hunter build at the moment and plan on doing the same thing.

I still do fine on titan currently, and ive got different builds and i still put out fair amount of DPS and last long enough myself.
Tons of good options, the class items will make them even better :)

Does the melee regen on ally heals scale up in the 12 man activity?
I've only tried in 6man. I imagine it wouldn't. Would be hard pressed to get 12 peeps to not running around like muppets in excision though :)
