I'm still in line for phase 2. The mods thing is very interesting, and why didn't they add a second motor to the front hub?
I did the opposite..I wanted to ride wherever I wanted. In the forest on trails, sidewalks, streets and ended up with a m620 motor street legal bike. It reaches about 34mph extremely fast (never timed it), but I didn’t really get it for speed

@@LiveWire_Guy, about the same as I'm riding now, an Aprilia Scarabeo 200, which happens to be just about the perfect commuter for my needs. The Metacycle would be a significant step down, which is why I cancelled.

I was wondering about real world range also. A test at highway speed and at city driving would be a welcome edition for a second video. I'm sure the Sonders estimates are way off just like the 0-60. One thing though, on a light low power electric "motor cycle" Driver weight is going to make a huge impact as you have seen. I'm 195 so i'd be about in between you two as far as 0-60 goes. Nothing like getting outran by a Sur ron :) Hopefully someone will come out with some good aftermarket upgrades like a better seat and a brake upgrade kit. Other videos I have watched they also said the brakes left much to be desired.
Nice review, I ordered the SuperMassive. Patiently waiting. Hands down, some of the hottest technology hitting the streets! I’ll be charging mine with solar power.
Good luck, been waiting for two years and now waiting for my refund. This thing is crap and I can’t wait to see it falling apart once people put real miles on it
@@xavi5898 Seriously, though, firstly you can't have been waiting "two years". Secondly, to say that something's "crap" without even so much as having laid eyes on the genuine article, let alone ridden it, is just so much whining and bitching. Apparently, Metacycle wasn't "crap", as you put it, when you reserved one, then (presumably) converted that reservation to an actual order. Then there's that "I can’t wait to see it falling apart once people put real miles on it" sociopathic comment. I'll just let that one twist out there all on its lonesome.
Thanks for clearing up that the Right Brake Lever IS the Front Brake! As far as questions. How does the motorcycle handle when cornering? Does it drop into corners quickly or slowly? Also in relation to the cornering. How is the peg clearance when leaned over? Any clearance issues and scraping of pegs? Please measure the actual dimensions of the cell phone box so we know how much room we have to play around with to put a phone with a case inside. Also did you find out if the USB port inside the compartment supports USB 2 or 3 levels of charging output? EDIT: The frame bag looks awesome! But how are the magnets in the bag going to stick to an aluminum frame? Aluminum is not magnetic.
The "frame bag" is still very much a work in progress. Since their revelation that the aluminum frame of the Metacycle is not magnetic, the frame bag makers have switched to Velcro fasteners. Also the handle is being moved to a better location. The production model may look very different from the prototype. I hope they keep us updated with photos. Is it waterproof?
Excellent video review, Trevor. I hope Sondors succeeds with the Metacycle and goes on to produce 2nd and 3rd generations of the motorcycle that actually meet the original performance goals. Sondors could have mitigated the current grief they are dealing with if they had just employed a competent PR person to inform their customers, in a timely manner, of necessary design changes and unforeseen production delays.
My understanding is that PR comes from Storm Sondors. That's the problem. We see what and only what he wants us to see, we learn (before now) only what he wants to show us. The flip side to SONDORSX's plus side is its negative side (and not a small one either): Storm Sondors himself. IMO, he will single handedly destroy his own company's good will.
This bike can easily take all features and extra weight and get bigger, I didn’t know about the security features till this video. They’re right where they should be if you think the giga press will work
Thank for the video... I canceled my order, main reason is there new terms... I fear the lack of support in the future, how long will it take for the next wave to even come out... too many issues and promises not met... too bad, I’ll build my own or wait for another company that gets it right and takes care of their supporters. I’m glad some folks are getting there rides!
I'm wondering if the $6500 is including shipping. The post below is from the Sonders site. "upped price of $6500 dollars (or around $7000 - $7200 dollars with the delivery fee?)" $6,500 Est. Delivery Q4 2022 - Q1 2023 By placing this order, I agree to the Metacycle Order Agreement and Privacy Policy. Price includes delivery fee.
Great review! I think I will wait for the S72 C1X. You didn't mention range, or did I miss it. I think the first thing I would change out is the seat! It looks like it would go right up your butt crack! With Trevor on it there definitely wasn't enough real estate. The main thing for comfort on a motorcycle seat is not so much how thick the padding is, but how wide the seat is and if it is wide enough to support your butt. How long does the bike maintain 70mph, and then what does it shut down to?
I suspected roughness in the casting when it was revealed they'd be cast with green sand molds, the most cost-effective casting process. Better and lighter would have been ceramic shell, and the best of course would have been injection molding, very expensive to set up, and not worth it for an initial run like this. I don't know what kind of numbers would make it worthwhile, but would guess it would need to be well over 30K frames.
Thanks for your opinions! I see this as a lightweight e-commuter capable of using the Interstates for short distances. I rode a banana seat that width all day as a child, butt most 'adults'' can't handle it. Saddle on my 740 lb Honda is made for adult butts, LOL. Most 'e-motorcycles' I've seen are massive in comparison as are their price tags! The Metacycle @ $6500 is pretty cool for what it is...
@@TrevorAgli Thanks MetaMan... I hear so many complaints, they get old. Without some kind of Technological breakthrough, e-bikes/e-motorcycles will never replace their gas powered counterparts. But, the way I see it, the Metacycle offers the most for the money! The bargains out there are few and far between.
Is it possible to use a CVT drive on a mid-drive ebike? Chains are loud and they break. Transmissions are mechanical, heavy and expensive. CVT's are lightweight, cheap, quiet and seem like the perfect solution...?
There's a PDF manual available in the owners portal. I'm going to change those awful looking footpegs on mine as well as instal the same fly screen. Plus a LOUD horn.
I guess I am still glad I got a refund when they were clearly not close to delivering in Q3 2021. The bike wasn't even finished being designed then. This is a good review except no mention of the range which would be very good to know with different weight riders and at different speeds. My round trip commute is 46 miles, but most of it is at 55mph with one freeway section of 65 which I could avoid if necessary. No regen and non removable battery makes it a non starter especially since it apparently can't use any public chargers if the only charger is the weighty brick you would need to carry. There is starting to be a good deal of competition in the sub $10k electric motors and some of them with comfortable seats and removable batteries are going to be top of list. Maybe Sondors will make different versions like he has with the bicycles. I have been happy with my bicycle and hoped they would do a great job with this. I am not really concerned with 0-60 times, just if it can do 60 and get me to and from work and I have doubts that there is enough range for a heavier person at 55mph
Yea, I respect your decision of not buying after all., seeing as this bike is not for everyone. As far as range, at the rate at which I was riding (combined sub 40mph and over 60mph) it would fall short of the promised 80miles, and be more like half of that for my weight. If you weight between 150 and 180, you could see more than 40 miles on a charge.
Well, it would be nice if I had a chance to review my Metacycle! Since it has been paid for since LAST OCTOBER! But I guess I’ll just have to take what revues I can get.
The removal (by the owner) of the stock DOT approved brake light seems, less than ideal. I'm undecided on the aftermarket turn signals, as I don't believe I saw them activated even once. I will watch more closely on my next viewing. Visibility is key as stated in the video. I would prefer more brake lights not less. Perhaps a sleeker aftermarket DOT replacement brake light could be found.Thicker fluid in the brakes to eliminate brake noise? More likely some shims or anti-squeal compound would do the trick if a proper cleaning and bedding-in of the brakes does not. Overall I'm very pleased with this video review and am looking forward to your next.
Confirmed the aftermarket turn signals do work, perhaps not captured in the shots. The added brake lights definitely are liked by some and not others. I personally would remove it for aesthetics, but keep for safety's sake. Safer is better. Great input there mate!
Since 0-60 is out the window, and this isn't really highway suitable after all... what's the 0-40 like? Does it get up to speed for major neighborhood roads alright? Typically 40-50 mph around me.
Liked and subscribed. Great content man! Way to be thorough and honest for those considering the bike. I'll watch all your other videos to help your channel.
Doesn’t anybody see how useless the shock spring is? It’s not progressively wound, but, is a two stage winding. And the top part is already filly compressed even without a rider but is strikingly visible in your video. This wastes the spring and effectively reduces the suspension stoke in half. Why would they do this? A proper spring would cost the same.
Myself being a heavy guy. I think as soon as I get my motorcycle I'm going to be contacting Race Tech about a custom shock and or fork set for the bike. That is if I decide to keep it after riding it for a bit.
72V is just way to low for a motorcycle motor. They need high voltage 400-900V design. There is too much current, along with it heat lossses, to sustain high power output. It also brings with it added weight and cost due to more copper for heavier gauge wiring. I'm hopeful that the Fuell Fllow will do it right.
I might have missed it, but how did you go about getting it insured and plated for CA roads? No doubt that the bike is absolutely sexy looking. Reminds me of an EV version of the Vitpilen 401. Quite a looker!
This was a fabulous review. I’m miffed by Sondor’s not classifying the Metacycle properly. If they would’ve classified it as a scooter, it wouldn’t have received as much backlash. Hopefully, Sondor’s watches this review and takes notes, because they can only get better from it.
Isn't the Metacycle classified a motorcycle by it's designed, straddle style, riding position and not it's performance? Scooters usually have a step-thru and floorboard design, along with smaller diameter tires. Sure, it may be a low-performance motorcycle, but still a motorcycle.
Thank you! Yes I actually do! and may own an Anthem next! Hold out of you ordered yours; it is a good deal. Also, make sure to contact Sondors about the super deal they had earlier which can get you on a metacycle for $4000 only.
I know there's gonna be at least ONE person out there who's come here to talk about how a whatever is cheaper and gets 100+ mpg.. But you buy this and a cheap ass solar set up (a couple of 300w panels..so probably a few hundred bones) and you're done paying for fuel for most days in your life 🤷 andddd you'll not be doing that whole, burning of things to make me go, thang too👌And THAT part is genuinely priceless.
I think $5,000 is the only good price for the Metacycle. It's basically a slightly upgraded Onyx but even the Onyx has regen braking and a better 0 to 60 time.
electric motors will have 100% torque at 0 mph, but at 60 it has maybe 5 % torque. so at take off it goes fast, but at higher speeds it will take time to get to top speed.
Yes it will be a great beginner bike, honestly. As far as range, at the rate at which I was riding (combined sub 40mph and over 60mph) it would fall short of the promised 80miles, and be more like half of that for my weight. If you weight between 150 and 180, you could see more than 40 miles on a charge.
You said the battery get lose as u take it on/off,, what gets lose? The treads on the bike or the screws themselves are cheap? Are the lights bright during the day N night? Can you take off that ugly license plate bracket and hang it under the seat instead?
Yea the threads will get loose. The lights are definitely bright during the day. Better at night. No problem there. Plate location customizable honestly to one's liking after delivery.
Great review! We are about the same size so it looks like I may skip this one. I was wondering if I was going to look like I was on a bike that is too small lol. I think you summed it up perfectly..... "It's basically a scooter with a futuristic frame." They would be wise to release an XL version that is taller, wider and has a bigger battery.
I'm a skinny dude and that seat looks DUMMY small to me like it was designed for the rider to quit from discomfort before the battery dies. Well done on the video!
I feel like it needs 1 or 2 generations of designing to really come into its own. There are just too many ice motorcycles and scooters that accomplish the same thing and not enough to set this apart unless you really want something out of the box, different. At least its not Vaporware even though.
Great review, that's not good if the SPORT mode drop off after just a few miles, what's the sense in that, on my Varla scooter the two motors at full power run like a champ, I am 250lb and I need that extra power, I am in the second round for the Metacycle, I hope there is a fix or mod for this like ll the other electric bikes and scooter I have had and seen.
i wanna see that anthem vid :) all in all ...if i had the cheddar right now , and it was easily available ....i'd still buy the saunders ....im looking for exactly this , a commuter bike for work ...would fill this niche really well.. any who , lets just wait tile we see the rivid ...or the super73 cycle coming out next year ..
I’m glad to hear you like it. I was going to buy a Zero but held off when Sondors contacted me about the Metacycle. I currently ride a SurRon and was looking forward to the relatively light 200# advertised weight. It’ll probably do all I need, just won’t be as much fun as I had hoped. And it sounds like I’ll be able to get my money out of it and buy the Zero if I’m not satisfied. Again, it’ll probably do everything I need, thanks.
After 15 years driving bikes (from 125cc to 300cc) I had to move to a Piaggio tricycle for safety reason -and to save my marriage after my last fall in 2021. The tricycle is enormously safe but soooo boring (I use it almost every day). I'm thinking about this EB to make my Sunday rides a bit funnier but I'm also big and heavy, 50+ and I live on a 5th floor in the center of my city (and there is 1 EV charger per 500.000 inhabitants here in Madrid, not joking). I will probably give it a try despite the charging issue but not commute -respect from cars and buses is almost zero here, you need a big moto. Just for fun on a sunny day. Thanks for the great video, very complete, just missing the real range at full battery.
With so many delays and issues, I would recommend DON'T BUY yet. Sondors need to show strength in delivering these motorcycles. They are taking people's money and not committing to delivery dates. This is a VERY HIGH RISK purchase. Delivering 1 or 2 a week is just a marketing stunt!
@@xavierjeannis I am in round 2. I believe I am an early entry in round 2. I missed round 1 by a month. That's the other thing anything now is considered round 2, nobody knows how many!
Range is a bit complicated of a topic for this. If you weight between 150 and 180, you could see more than 40 miles on a charge.
I had a reservation but cancelled it. Glad I did seeing the reviews. 0-60 time is unacceptable. You can buy a Z400 or MT03 for around $5,000 and get sooo much more for your money and 70 mpg.

They should have just put pedals on it and sold it as a high powered ebike/moped like onyx RCR instead of an extremely low powered motorcycle. I would have liked one if that was the case but to use it as a motorcycle… seems like kind of a joke
Injection moulding an aluminum frame? You are talking about polymers not metals. You started talking about casting which is accurate as is forging another process for manufacturing a metal frame, but not injection moulding which doesnt apply to large metal pieces like frames
Hey mate, I didn’t make it obvious but I was comparing it to the next bike I was going to compare it to, which is the Ryvid Anthem. The Anthem has injections molded plastic parts.
I’m so glad I canceled even tho I still didn’t received my money back, it’s being 10 business days already guess Thursday I will give them another call
@@TrevorAgli i agree with that, specially when the company LIES and take away features that was part of a group of people that was supposed to be part of it, anyone over 200 lbs won’t have a good time on this, it WONT get the speed limit that was said, it WONT do the promised range neither, plus range, plus removable battery, plus bad finishes, plus difference in colors and the most important STILL behind delivery.
But it’s “twist and go” with dual hand brakes…just like my Vespa 250…and with similar acceleration and top speeds. But yes, it LOOKS like a motorcycle and probably handles better than a Vespa but at least where I live I can get professional service with any part I need. That’s important to me.
it's hard to believe a different casting techniques would have saved 100lbs?? as a 6'1 200lbs rider with motorcycle experience mostly on ~40hp 600-650cc singles, 70-80mph top speed is ok but somewhere 10-16s 0-60 sound too slow
Is the seat out of alignment or is it the camera angle. Looks like your left butt cheek is hanging off the left side of the seat, less cheek on the right. I put my $500 down on one, but am starting to wonder if I will actually get it at any time soon.
Thanks for the review. I have to say I am incredibly disappointed. Maybe not enough to ask for a refund, but seriously disappointed. The acceleration time might have been decent with a bigger person if the bike had made the original claimed weight. This is where it all went sideways. Curious to see what the real world range comes out to be. This really is more of a scooter than anything at these performance levels. By the looks of it I think my little CSC City Slicker will take it to 45 mph. All I can hope for is some people come up with some mods that VASTLY improve its performance. I'll ride it for a while and if I really hate it just sell it. I have a higher end electric motorcycle but I was hoping this might be a good commuter for me. The anemic acceleration might crush that idea though.
check out fly ebike, they have a dealership in my state and seem to be legal/registerable, they have some new emotors that look more stylish than previous lineup and seem to be cheaper, right now theyre preorder and ill want to wait to buy one until they have them in stock to do test drives

That’s a slow ass bike for $6500! See the problem with trying to make a bike that’s a hybrid between bicycle and motorcycle is that most people would rather pay that kind of money for a motorcycle rather that an amped up ebike.

Here’s what I know from experience with a Zero SR with 11.5 kWh battery.: when new it used up 1% every 7/10th of a mile at 70mph…which figures out to be 70 miles. At +/- 45mph it could go 1.2 miles on 1%, or 120 miles. I weigh 180 lbs and the bike weighed 400 lbs. Unless that hub motor is far more efficient, with only a 4 kWh battery I’d expect 25 miles at 70 and 42 miles at 45. Nothing scientific here, just noting that 4 kWH is only 34% of 11.5 kWH.
No not at all... Wish they did though. They're starting to ship out the metas more frequently. And owners who took delivery seem to like it for what it is now that they know what to expect through videos like this
Brake fluid is not like motor oil. You don't get to choose your favorite viscosity, and no, changing to a different brake fluid is not a way to overcome a noisy master cylinder. Bad conjecture/advice there.
I agree. Hit or miss with the Meta for people. Some are actually happy with it now that they know what to expect. Sondors should have communicated better period.
That 0-60 time is a security feature. If someone takes off on it, you can catch them on foot. ;-)

You put this together really well
Thanks for clearing up that the Right Brake Lever IS the Front Brake!
Clearance for the pegs is good for the average lean on the bike for turns.
"upped price of $6500 dollars (or around $7000 - $7200 dollars with the delivery fee?)"
$6,500
Est. Delivery Q4 2022 - Q1 2023

Yes I am. Accent pretty mixed since French is my primary language at that.
@@TrevorAgli I can hear every now and then some solid London accent haha, you just have been there a LONG time though
lol yes was born there and returned for year 11 and 12, but ultimately lived in the French system the longest
Excellent review wish your channel great success!
Thanks so much!
Thanks for your review. Looks like I made the right decision getting a refund. It's a shame they didn't deliver on what they promised us
I suspected roughness in the casting when it was revealed they'd be cast with green sand molds, the most cost-effective casting process.
I absolutely agree lol. Well said mate
I feel ya on the loud horn
Thanks for the video! It answered all my questions! Great job! be safe.
Glad it helped!
Well, it would be nice if I had a chance to review my Metacycle! Since it has been paid for since LAST OCTOBER! But I guess I’ll just have to take what revues I can get.
I am so glad i got a refund this review is spot on. Save your money buy a real bike with comfort and no lies
Typically 40-50 mph around me.
for that speed im thinking about getting one from fly-ebike, imported chinese generic motorcycles but a bit cheaper then metacycle
Great review!
I like the design as a one man transportation.
Agreed!
Liked and subscribed. Great content man! Way to be thorough and honest for those considering the bike. I'll watch all your other videos to help your channel.
Greatly appreciated! You're amazing
great review-despite the setbacks they still look cool
Has anyone done a real range test on the sondors meta cycle yet? How's far can you go on a single charge
It's like they are an NDA for range! I guess it's not comfortable enough to do a range test
Alarm is so low it’s alarming
Sondors: Success!!
That bike does look so sleek.
72v is fine for these speeds u just need an air cooling design
I might have missed it, but how did you go about getting it insured and plated for CA roads? No doubt that the bike is absolutely sexy looking. Reminds me of an EV version of the Vitpilen 401. Quite a looker!
Did the $700 “white glove” delivery cost include taxes? Or did the owner have to pay taxes to the DMV after receiving the Metacycle.
WHICH DRONE YOU ARE USING? ITS INCREDIBLE
I appreciate it! It's a Mavic Air 2. DJI is killing it
This was a fabulous review.
Sure, it may be a low-performance motorcycle, but still a motorcycle.
that slow zero to 60 is a deal breaker for me
I agree.
If you notice when he does the 0 to 60 speed test it's not is sport mode you can see it off on the display
Yea, there's an S when in sports mode. Sports mode turns off after it seems 2 mins is what latest tests show.
So do you own a Meta? Good Vid. I ordered one last week.
Thank you! Yes I actually do! and may own an Anthem next! Hold out of you ordered yours; it is a good deal. Also, make sure to contact Sondors about the super deal they had earlier which can get you on a metacycle for $4000 only.
@@TrevorAgli I got the deal.
When bro said the alarm is so quiet it’s quite alarming I spit out all my food 🤣
Not many caught that lol!
Almost ordered one. Might still get one for my wife.
She would def like it I think
The fact that you can't see the display in broad daylight is a massive deal breaker, and if I'm being quite honest, quite dangerous.
That’s a good pointer, it seems to be visible IRL, just not enough when recorded
What visor is on the bike?
How much was registration fees for this bike ?
I know there's gonna be at least ONE person out there who's come here to talk about how a whatever is cheaper and gets 100+ mpg..
But you buy this and a cheap ass solar set up (a couple of 300w panels..so probably a few hundred bones) and you're done paying for fuel for most days in your life 🤷 andddd you'll not be doing that whole, burning of things to make me go, thang too👌And THAT part is genuinely priceless.
I agree
Thanks for an honest review.
Always!
I think $5,000 is the only good price for the Metacycle. It's basically a slightly upgraded Onyx but even the Onyx has regen braking and a better 0 to 60 time.
Good argument
What was the range?
electric motors will have 100% torque at 0 mph, but at 60 it has maybe 5 % torque. so at take off it goes fast, but at higher speeds it will take time to get to top speed.
Well said
How long was delivery
Even though the 0 to 60 time took about 16 to 17 seconds, did it still feel fast due to the bike frame structure of the metacycle?
It was half of that with the 150lb rider..this guy is 250lbs that’s quite heavy
Felt silent and acceptably fast. But not at all superbike fast. If you get what I mean
wonder how much work it would take to attach led lights to it so you had a tron bike
Probably not that much work for the amount of satisfaction
how many miles of range did you get at what speeds? Will this be a good and safe beginner bike? (First time rider?)
Glad it was helpful! And it seems the Ryvid Anthem is in the same boat though... review coming out shortly
I'm a skinny dude and that seat looks DUMMY small to me like it was designed for the rider to quit from discomfort before the battery dies. Well done on the video!
Lol thanks for the feedback. And yea, man they missed the mark on the seat… third party modders to the rescue
I feel like it needs 1 or 2 generations of designing to really come into its own. There are just too many ice motorcycles and scooters that accomplish the same thing and not enough to set this apart unless you really want something out of the box, different. At least its not Vaporware even though.
Should jave been made with a mid drive motor. For the same watts, you would have much faster take off and triple the torque.
Why do I get a Christopher Walken vibe on the narration?
Great review, that's not good if the SPORT mode drop off after just a few miles, what's the sense in that, on my Varla scooter the two motors at full power run like a champ, I am 250lb and I need that extra power, I am in the second round for the Metacycle, I hope there is a fix or mod for this like ll the other electric bikes and scooter I have had and seen.
I agree. and Hopefully the second round is better!
i wanna see that anthem vid :)
all in all ...if i had the cheddar right now , and it was easily available ....i'd still buy the saunders ....im looking for exactly this , a commuter bike for work ...would fill this niche really well.. any who , lets just wait tile we see the rivid ...or the super73 cycle coming out next year ..
Will release a video this week for sure, whether a shorter one or the full review.
What shipment cycle are you in?
@@xavierjeannis I am in round 2. I believe I am an early entry in round 2. I missed round 1 by a month. That's the other thing anything now is considered round 2, nobody knows how many!
Pretty informative review, BUT you didn't touch on range???
Range is a bit complicated of a topic for this. But the nutshell is:
As far as range, at the rate at which I was riding (combined sub 40mph and over 60mph) it would fall short of the promised 80miles, and be more like half of that for my weight.
If you weight between 150 and 180, you could see more than 40 miles on a charge.
@@TrevorAgli Thank you for the update. I like your style, you present things as they are plain & simple ... no BS.
@@RPRosen-ki2fk I appreciate it!
I had a reservation but cancelled it. Glad I did seeing the reviews. 0-60 time is unacceptable. You can buy a Z400 or MT03 for around $5,000 and get sooo much more for your money and 70 mpg.
It’s definitely not for everyone.
Lighter, thinner folks would love the Meta
Thank you Trevor, your observations are on point, specific, & helpful. Great job.
Thanks for the review. I'm about your size and still not sure. It just might be too small. I would feel a little better at $5000.
Your riding in my neighborhood I have an Onyx and a bunch of other bikes and I'm waiting for my delivery day. Can I please see it I'm available anytime.
Hey, Next time I come around I'll let you know!
What type of motor is in the rear wheel?❓
They have all that info on their site sondorsx.com
Not sure whether the stats on the site are the final delivery ones.
really only thing I don’t like is the suspension, I was really hoping it was adjustable
Yea. Unfortunate.
what happened to this channel did you ever get your metacycle???
why do they make the seat so thin
Prob a habit from being an ebike company originally. Sure they’ll learn from this first round.
So glad i got my refund...promised things that they did not deliver...going to purchase a ONYX RCR which has more torque
I don't understsndvthis battery capacity, somthing must be mistaken, I have around 2kw in my ebike and it is already a huge brick.
The Metacycle and the anthem will both suffer from lower performance than the likes of zero and livewire
What's the range on this bike?
As far as range, at the rate at which I was riding (combined sub 40mph and over 60mph) it would fall short of the promised 80miles, and be more like half of that for my weight.
If you weight between 150 and 180, you could see more than 40 miles on a charge.
It's not designed for abnormal loads.
If the majority of their buyers’ weight is what you consider abnormal then… welp.
They should have just put pedals on it and sold it as a high powered ebike/moped like onyx RCR instead of an extremely low powered motorcycle. I would have liked one if that was the case but to use it as a motorcycle… seems like kind of a joke
I think they poorly tested the bike vis-a-vis a large chunk of their target audience.
Man, it's a bit sad to realize it's not for everyone. Some will love it. Other just will not.
It was better when it was vaporware.
Indeed, it was awesome.
The reviews are good. But I can't afford to buy it. If I give it as a gift, it will be enough.
Looks like a motorcycle to me. It has footpegs and you have to stradle it. If it has a deck in the center then it's a scooter.
True, the different methods have varying prices, more expensive for more precise and lighter results.
Is the seat out of alignment or is it the camera angle. Looks like your left butt cheek is hanging off the left side of the seat, less cheek on the right. I put my $500 down on one, but am starting to wonder if I will actually get it at any time soon.
It’s cool to hear christopher walken voicing this over.
@@Ambiguousaxolotl I looked at them before but the highest top speed I saw was about 45 mph. Am I missing something?
@@wavshrdr8452 theyre called the tc spoke and max basically theyre super socos with different branding think top speed was 60mph not built yet but on preorder might wait to buy one till i can see it at the dealership in houston
That’s a slow ass bike for $6500! See the problem with trying to make a bike that’s a hybrid between bicycle and motorcycle is that most people would rather pay that kind of money for a motorcycle rather that an amped up ebike.
Yea. This won't be for everyone.
Sorry but so far not ONE person has given an HONEST city riding Range PER CHARGE . Due to these issues, I hope this bike is never sold in the UK.
As far as range, at the rate at which I was riding (combined sub 40mph and over 60mph) it would fall short of the promised 80miles, and be more like half of that for my weight.
If you weight between 150 and 180, you could see more than 40 miles on a charge.
Not what Sondors promised when taking $5000- deposits from customers. Sondors has a reputation of lying about it's products
No not at all... Wish they did though. They're starting to ship out the metas more frequently. And owners who took delivery seem to like it for what it is now that they know what to expect through videos like this
Sport mode lasts for 120 secs, then turns off 😌
Yea, seems that way for sure
Thank you I am so glad I decided not to buy it
Glad I could help with your decision. It is a great scooter, but it is not for everyone.
Brake fluid is not like motor oil. You don't get to choose your favorite viscosity, and no, changing to a different brake fluid is not a way to overcome a noisy master cylinder. Bad conjecture/advice there.
Interesting view, the owner of that Meta seemed pretty knowledgeable and has been riding for ages. That was his statement
That 0-60 time is pretty bad
For a motorcycle yea. For a scooter.... yea...
Glad it isn’t phantomware but also glad I didn’t order this hype.
So many broken promises by Sondors!
I agree. Hit or miss with the Meta for people.
Some are actually happy with it now that they know what to expect. Sondors should have communicated better period.
