You know, I couldn't fashion clay into something that could even pass for a human being. Yet this artist with skills so finely honed made a figurine so lifelike I could swear the model was going to move on it's own at the end.
Nendo-san i love all of your works but this one has to by far be my favorite! Medusa is one of my favorites in the Fate Universe so this is a instant 10/10
it might only be my setup, but the initial head sculpt is a bit washed out, until it's spun to show in profile, seeing what is done to it doesn't become obvious. It works itself out after moving on to the rest, though, so it might only have been that one portion of filming too.
I am no big fan of air curing clays. Every brand I tried had a weird feel to working with it. And was easy to break, even after cured for days and sealed. On the other hand, in Japan they probably sell whole other brands than here in Germany. Most likely even higher quality.
It honestly depends on the brand. First one I brought was GARBAGE that was unworkable - brittle when working on it, extremely dry, messy when I tried to form it but easily cracked the second it started to dry. Then I tried another one, it was still messy but I managed to sculp a decently-looking (ignoring the face) Frieza figurine. And third type I have yet to try sculpting from was even softer and easier to play with. Polymer might be overall better for figurines, especially if they have lots of details to add and you don't want to "hydrate" the surface while working though.

my problem with ultra light air dry clay it do moist specially during rainy days or cold weather. guys is there any similar ultra light air dry clay that doesn't moist please recommend a brand or alternatives, thanks in advance.

横にして焼きます。顔を作って焼き固めたら、身体を作って一体化して一緒に焼きます。
その後に頭を切り離します。
