As Israel mulls a response to Iran's missile and drone attack, Tehran has warned that the smallest action against its interests would be met with a severe and painful response. Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi reiterated that Tehran acted in self-defence, saying that the operation targeted Israeli bases used to carry out the Damascus strike. Meanwhile, Israel's war cabinet concluded a fifth meeting to discuss its response to Iran's attack. Israel's allies, the US and the EU are looking at imposing further sanctions on Iran.
