    Thank you for this representation . I am looking for exactly what you are discussing here. Now after really studying this whole autofeed scenario ,it appears I'm after the DFR552Z which is not released here in NZ yet! Unbelievable!!!. Cheers

    I don’t mean to be rude, but I don’t think this gun was meant for what your are using it.

      @PhilipHollowaychannel  Рік тому +2

      Not rude at all :). One of its uses is for wood decking and technically putting the panels on the wall. It’s just wood decking vertically. If you were just putting plasterboard up or ply sheet in it would work a lot easier Have a lovely day

      Agree. Drywall is what it's meant for.

    when you say don't have it on flat out , what do you mean? is there a setting make make the gun go slower or do you mean don't fully pull the trigger?

      Yes don’t fully pull the trigger. Play it slowly at the start

      Hi Philip. What kind of magazins does it use. Are they common ones? Or do you have to use screwmagazin from makita? Thank you :) Cheers Markus

      @@squitschsmile6956 morning, if I understand you correctly and you mean by magazine the screws. Then you can use any screws as long as they have the right diameter as there is a maximum thickness.

      @@PhilipHollowaychannel Hey Philip. Good morning :-) And thank you for the quick answer!. That is interesting as well. But I am thinking about the plastic strip where the screws are fixed in while they are transported into the machine. I don’t know the english name for it. In German they are announced as „Magazin“, so I thought it might be the term in English as well. Sorry for the confusion.

      @@squitschsmile6956 the magazine comes with the screwdriver as a whole package. So yes it will only for the Makita new version of the magazine. If you damage your magazine I would have thought your dealer would be able to get a replacement

    I own one of these and the push drive really doesn't work. You have push with alot of force for it to kick in which after while takes a toll on your elbow but what I've noticed is in that mode it absolutely buries the screw too deep. Even though I have adjusted the depth setting for just right for plasterboard where the screw sits flush for some odd reason it doesn't stay on that depth setting.

    You have to push the trigger before you touch the surface with it, otherwise it will stuck the screws into the drill...i realised that later on , as well. I think you rushed a little bit with the video, you should have practiced a little more before, with the driver, and the video would have been much pro, if you know what i mean... i hope i haven't offended you. All the best!

      No offence taken. Many thanks for your comment. Yes practice makes perfect but consider I’ll be using to like this for nearly 40 years. It should just work if they designed it properly. It works better in decking where you can put pressure on vertically and not have to hold the boards by yourself:-)

      I might be clueless but the proof is in the pudding I’ve stripped to many bits revving it up. It might work on drywall but not fixing wood in my experience.
