What an amazing and classy woman. As a high school teacher, I cannot stress enough how important it is that parents set boundaries with their children and follow through. I've had countless students come through my classes who've never been told "no" and act like they are owed what they want instead of earning anything. She's raising her kids so well.

So much wise & sage parenting advise from Sandy B. I've always said that you can't be your kid's best friend. Friends do not ground or give consequences. You are not popular when you are doling out chores or guiding them about difficult topics. Friends don't do that. You are a parent. My son yelled out the "I hate you" and I would respond with "Yeah, well this isn't a popularity contest, so I'm good!". Those moments were few and in between. My reward is having an adult son that is happy & is able to take care of himself.

Allowing kids to drink and/or do drugs in your house is a great way to set yourself up to be sued and legally held responsible if one or more of the kids gets high and/or drunk while they're in your house then winds up getting hurt or k1lled, or leaves your house and goes out and hurts or k1ll$ somebody else.--It's an especially stupid thing to do if you don't have money like Sandra Bullock.
It doesn't matter if weed is now legal wherever you're located.
It doesn't matter if you or your kid aren't directly involved in the crime or accident.
It doesn't matter that you weren't home the time the crime or accident happened.
All that matters is that it all started at your house that you own and where you are supposed to be the *RESPONSIBLE ADULT* who was supposed to be watching the kids in your charge.

Speaking from a same-sex marriage point of view, our boy is almost 12 - The way she talks about Louis' growth and how she handles stuff so openly is truly relatable to me, literally everything Sandra talks about.
