Shoot the rabbits! I hate them!! They are such a nuisance! They eat everything out here! The coyotes need to do a better job...I have to put a wire barricade around all my little plants. I need a couple dogs to run around and wrangle them up!
I also tried to root in water, but I see that I was wrong not to cut off the tops, and I also tried planting in the ground with the help of rooting hormones and nothing .... but I will not give up💪💪💪, this year I will try again ... 😀😀😀...btw, nice video👍👍
Best method is to use water in jar method leave in jar for 6-7 weeks transplant into pot of soil or directly plant in ground water lightly daily they will take off nicely, its not good idea to put fresh cuttlings into soil they generally do not take they must have thick root growth on them before they can be planted.
How long does it take the roots to develop and its ready for potting? How much sun? What type of soil did you use? How large should the plant be for planting into the ground? How often do you change the water if growing roots in a glass container?
I grew cuttings in water it started rooting in 6 days changed water in 4 days then potted in container using 60:20:20 ratio(soil/compost/sand) it is growing well
Hi! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Please help me with an issue I had. I cut my oleander in August and I kept them in a glass of water to produce roots, but almost all the cuttings died, they faded. Please help me to understand why. Another issue I had: Some of them were produced roots, but once I potted them, they died. Why? Thanks in advanced!
Hola, en España, todavía estás a tiempo. Se supone que funciona mejor con ramas cortadas a media altura (sin flores) y en arena de río mejor que mejor.
Can I buy humus soil? And...we live in the desert oleander here seems to like dry sandy soil here. Our neighbors is huge, and it's used widely in town for border. Thoughts?
I planted rooted cuttings last summer and the plants are growing very well. Only thing is: there is only one branch going up, no side branches from the bottom of the plants... Any advise?
I followed the same method.. I put the cuttings in water.. within 12 days the root has grown... Thank u for this video...
Did u place the bottle outside for sunlight or out of sunlight?

How frequently did you change water
صباح الخير،، في اي شهر ارجو الاجابة،، ضروري
I have them. The fastest way is in water. Once you get the root THEN you plant it.
I planted two small oleanders in the front yard. One the rabbits ate, I found a dead one in the yard. The other is huge.

@Belle Kasprik well it's not my plan to eat it. It's going to be a barricade to not see my neighbors eyesore of a junkyard. Not eat it.
Superb. I tried and it turned out to be so. Thank you. 👌👌👌
Great 👍
I will make that too. Thank you

Oleander absorbs carbon-di-oxide in air and act as natural pollution controller, it is planted in large number near National highways in india...
What plant doesn’t do this? I thought everything that does photosynthesis does this?
@@rgv4943 yep, true, but oleander absorbs more CO2 and can withstand drought...

Wow nice information
They are poisonous and I would advise using gloves when cutting, or doing anything with this plant, it's beautiful and hardy but deadly!
Yes they are toxic
Ul
While what you said is true, it takes 4 grams of the toxin to kill, so not likely.

How long does it take then until it blooms?thanks for showing these variants!
Nice
Mine bloomed the first summer ! (I rooted them in water and did not cut the tops. Got roots in 4 weeks at 25 degrees celsius)
H D thanks👍
Oleander cutting in water takes how many weeks for roots to form
Awesome 👍
Gentle hands 🙂
does this work only in temperate or hot climates ? Will it work in cold climates ?
if you propergate in soil it will roots but the stem die off after awhile. If you prop in vermiculite the chance of success is higher.
Wow
Nice sharing.
Good idea 👌👍
Did you keep them indoor to root? Also, No plastic bag or
Plastic container to keep the humidity?
They're native to the Mediterranean basin, which is quite dry. Should be fine without a bag :)
