I have the 36Volt version 18x2 XGD01 and it’s an absolute beast. The reason that Makita uses a keyed chuck is the “power unit” is actually a Hole Hog with different handles. I mainly use mine for drilling holes in steel frames up to 2 9/16” and it does this with ease and safely because of the Torque Limiter that prevents kickback in low speed (high speed doesn’t use the Torque Limiter). The “Power Unit” also has a LED Light that is useful when using it as a Hole Hog.
