Gotta see the truck. Still have my first truck I bought when I was 15. 79 f150 4x4 short bed, 3 inch lift running 33 tires, 351m400, 4 speed. Had it 24 years now
Gonna be interesting turning that thing on the street. But... she’ll hook and book at the track. Nice work! Rear ends spook me a little too. All that shimming and wear pattern stuff.

Yes, I'd love to see more of Nate's truck! Great find Nate! P.S. BREW2L, I know you are probably tired of hearing/reading negative things about the spool, but please be careful running that spool on the street. A racer acquaintance in a nearby town was driving his spooled car in light rain and when he came to a corner the car went straight. He hit a tree head-on and was killed.
No problem spreading awareness brother. I have had experience with locked diffs and spools in the past. This car won’t be driven much in the street anyway 👍
I always Heard of clip eliminator but I never knew what it was thanks for the info on sharing this knowledge 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏showing this .great video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Man that car is coming together! That rear end is going to be able to handle anything. I thought the torque reinforcements were all outside the car? I'm only familiar with the plate ones that are bolted and welded under the seat. Oh and yes for the truck content! I had a 79 Bronco that I built and loved it. Tough go anywhere truck
I watch you put a C clip eliminators in and I like that. I think I can accomplish doing it myself. I was going to pay somebody. I’m going to learn more thank you.
Lol that sum back woods "quack" use'n jack handles to remove bear'ns (luv it)...and shoot yeah we wanna see Nates truck, luv them 60-79 ford trucks...llooking forward to see how she handles with short'ned axles...
My 35 spline axles are on the way. With a spool. And gears shims and bearings. And seals. My rear end has to come out. All new everything bushings control arms coil overs etc.
I'm sure you're probably aware but...I have turn downs on my car and that shit is sooooo loud in the cabin. It basically sounds like subwoofers underneath the car lol. I like it but, man, it's loud as hell.
If you are using the old gear you need to check your backlash before you pull it and put it back with the same lash or you will get premature wear on the gear
Lol I have the same setup drum brakes and all. After reading all of the negative spool comments, I'm ripping the whole thing out because everything is unsafe and overbuilt for my little 302😂 Also, its definitely not a parking lot pimpin setup lol Ps I'm going on 4 years w/ mine and no signs of leaking.
If you're going to drive your car at the drag strip most of the time the spool should be ok. But if you pretty much drive on the street I wouldn't recommend it, especially if it's wet outside. 🤔
I had a mini spool in my '85 F150. I daily drove it with just some tire wear. I had 295's all the way around too. Maybe a truck is different, maybe not.
@@Jim_Lawrence I had a mini spool in my 64 falcon. My street raced it, never had a problem with it, but I was more careful knowing that I had a spool in there. Driving in the rain Is when you have to be careful.I could pull u-turns if I was slow doing it, but it would chirp the tires from turning around.🍻
@@matkas3445 not true. Disc brakes are better at applying and releasing quickly, as in ABS. Take a look at class 8 trucks and trailers. Yep, drum brakes...
Out of genuine curiosity though, why you need 35 spline? You prepping this thing for X275 next? 31-33 spline What a fit the bill nicely and been substantially cheaper.

Exactly
Definitely interested in the truck footage. I have a 77 F100 that was originally that same green.
We’ll cover it!

Heck yeah love them old dent side Ford's
Let’s see that truck !!
Talk about built! That 8.8 is good to go!
Now it’s time to work our way forward... 😳
Definitely would like to see the truck Nate picked up
Heck ya.. more Jo Nate & the old school Ford content!!..

Needing to get my '88 Ttop rear gear done VERY soon... before FTO!!
About to do this next week . Awesome video . Also have the bmp and anti roll to install. Thanks for time u take to make life easy

The ones that bolt inside the car are the small lower plates. Pretty easy to install.
I watch you put a C clip eliminators in and I like that. I think I can accomplish doing it myself. I was going to pay somebody. I’m going to learn more thank you.
I got a plan cover off Amazon or eBay that’s girdled for $99.
Can’t wait to see how how good it hooks once you get it all adjusted and tuned

Well said on learning, as you can't know it all but the information is out there.
Hell ya show the truck can't wait to see your reactions driving a spool on the street. It does have its quirks lol
I’ve owned a few.. And yeah they are annoying at times. Especially on street tires 👀😆

Very cool install. Can’t wait to see the street manners with that spool.
It’s not bad, turning kinda sucks though. Lol
Great video! Never to late to try something new. I would love to see more of that truck build.
Thanks bud!
I need a friend like nate lol! Can't wait to see that rewr coilover set up!
Good work man, I’m considering 35 spline too and eliminators.
Yea. Got a couple 79 models in the family. Would like to see this content
Yes, need that coilovers video. I got coilovers in my future.
Will do 👌
Good stuff Joe Nate always hooks you up! Love to see that truck get worked out.
Jonate is the man 👌
We used to turn the turn down inward incase it blew up and blew oil out of the exhaust. Lol
That’s smart thinking 💭 👍
nice. i was going to buy the bearing removal tool until I watched the jack handle trick and I have a few laying around
Yes sir. I’ve been wanting an F 100!!! 70/72 preferably!! But anything up to a 77 short bed of course would be fine.
Most definitely would like to see some F-100 content. I have a 1975 F-100 Explorer short wheel base.

YES to F100 content
Found some cancer on my drivers strut tower/frame rail the other day. Sad
😳🙁
Nice work on those axles brother! 👍🏻
Thanks bud!
Thank you..
Curious...why a full spool on a street car?
Because lockers are very expensive and we need this thing to hook and not break
Are c-clip eliminators still not recommended for the street or have they made some advances in technology to be more durable for street use?
I’m not sure on that one. But the car will only see limited street use
Can you post the part number (s) for the kit you used?
All the part numbers are in the previous video👍
Yes show the truck..I'm redoing a 77 f150.
Want to sell that old center section? Is it welded? If not I’d like to buy it.
I’m going to keep it. Never know what build we’ll need it for next.
@@BREW2LFOXBODY dang those 28 spine factory limited slips are getting harder to find around my area, had to try!

Does the spool kit eliminate gears?? And just diff is left ?? 😅
How does it work
What you want for that old 8.8 carrier
Hey brew2l did your bud start his channel yet?
Not yet
Ok let us know when I'll follow
How did you press the c clip Eliminators on your axles
Hey Man What size is your shop? im getting ready to build one. Just curious
It says use 2 jack handles in my haynes manual, weird..
You serious Clark??
i wanna see torque box cause i need mine done
DONT get the square back diff cover. Check out the banks vid on diff covers and flow, cooling, etc. I hope it helps
Damn 35 spline 4 lug axles?
What did you coat the bottom of that car with?
SEM undercoating
Is that a locking gear?
Yes
What’s that brace above the axle bushings?

How much power can 35spline axles handle ??
Truck truck
Uh the tubes need to be cut off at a machine shop so it's 100% square. The seals will never stop leaking if it's not cut square....
I guess I got lucky. Zero leaks
