400 Years of Waiting While Zechariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar. -Luke 1:11 C.S. Lewis said, “The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of 60 minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is.” We live by time. God is outside of time. This doesn’t mean that God isn’t aware of time, because He is completely aware of every minute and second of our lives and everything that happens in them. But He lives in the eternal realm. God’s interpretation of time is quite different from ours. He has His timing. And there are times in life when it appears as though God is late, that He is somehow disengaged and not paying attention. Sometimes as we look at the way things are, we wonder whether God is aware of what the world is like. Why has Christ not come back? The implication is that God is somehow off schedule. However, the Bible says of Christ’s return, “The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent” (2 Peter 3:9) Jesus Christ will come back to this earth at the appointed time that God has determined. When Jesus came to Earth the first time, the people of Israel were tired of waiting. They felt it was time for the Messiah to arrive. These were difficult and dark days in Israel’s history. They were under the control of Rome and the tyrannical rule of the puppet king known as Herod. The fact is that 6 BC was a lousy time to live in Judea. The people hadn’t heard from God for 400 years. Not a single prophet had said, “Thus saith the Lord. . . .” There hadn’t been any miracles or angelic appearances. Instead, there was a stony silence from Heaven. The people were probing, searching, and wondering when things would change. But there was a sense that something was in the air, that something was about to break. And indeed, it was. The moment was coming for the Messiah to arrive. It all began with the aged priest Zechariah, who was in the temple bringing sacrifices on behalf of the people. The angel Gabriel appeared with the announcement that he would be the father of John the Baptist the forerunner of Jesus. It was a day like any other day when the supernatural invaded the natural. It was the day that God chose to reveal to Zechariah that he was going to be the father of the forerunner of the Messiah. Zechariah was praying, and God heard him and answered his prayer. The Bible says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done” (Philippians 4:6). No matter what you’re facing, no matter what kind of challenges you’re going through, you need to pray. There may be things that we go through in life that don’t make sense. But one day we will know. Until then, we must trust God and surrender ourselves to Him.

i lost my dad suddenly too.. still shocking and weird, the hurt never goes away but with time, it does get a bit easier. just remember your dad is watching over you and that he's extremely proud of the man you're becoming. i used to live in NYC too, I visited back home in Chicago to meet up my family to celebrate my birthday. My dad texted me that he wasn't able to make it for my birthday and he was stuck in LA. 2 days after my birthday my dad passed away and I never got to see him. Life is too short. You always try to make the most out of your day which is so inspiring. You also motivate people to try and be better. Continue being that light of positivity. You have a superpower. That is influence on others. Cherish it. You mean a lot to your inner circle of close friends and family. If you ever need to talk don't hesitate. -Jin

18:32 I love that toast truck! I used to get one every morning before catching a cab to school. Right in front of hongdae subway station and that kfc! It’s been almost over a decade since I’ve lived in Seoul, glad they are still around.
My deepest condolences ❤ been watching for a while always fun to see diff cultures foods and having you try I appreciate the hard work and you sharing keep your head up homie
Legit keep doing this, including the walking, this is fulfilling the need for unscripted guide content that I didn't know I needed (especially as someone interested in languages, it's fun to look around with y'all)
I haven't had any fun lately, 😭 You bring me joy!❤🙂I love the kind and generous heartwarming atmosphere that you create, your kind, easygoing, warm vibe. ❤I like the essence how you live on. I need to be true to myself and find a job I am passionate about. I want to find a way to live as who I really am.
Omg I really miss that trail at 30:00 At first I was just walking thinking it'll be a quick loop around. No. I was defeated the first time lol. But the second time I went out i walked without thinking of it. It was so nice. I saw a beautiful waterfall. I think it's cool how it connects to different neighborhoods/cities and just keeps going...still didn't see the end lol
there are many more places in seongsu you should checkout including multilevels cafes near the line 2 subway and the Hillstate apartment building station which are dope like 옹근달. also go to Seoul Forest and cafe street (though the cafes there aren't that great) another seongsu favorite is 대림창고 and of course Onion (which is overplayed)

I started watching you ever since you made that tacos in NYC video and I’m so happy to see how much you have refined your videos and grown as a person, nicely done

Confirm that tacos no 1 are best tacos in the country. Maybe some la spots might rival it
400 Years of Waiting
While Zechariah was in the sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar.
-Luke 1:11
C.S. Lewis said, “The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of 60 minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is.”
We live by time.
He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent”
(2 Peter 3:9)
Jesus Christ will come back to this earth at the appointed time that God has determined.

My boi moneysigndonut made it out the hood with this one, keep up the great work. Hope your doing alright.
moneysigndonut… count your days
i lost my dad suddenly too.. still shocking and weird, the hurt never goes away but with time, it does get a bit easier. just remember your dad is watching over you and that he's extremely proud of the man you're becoming. i used to live in NYC too, I visited back home in Chicago to meet up my family to celebrate my birthday. -Jin

Eric casually singing “it’s been a long time without you my friend” and then doubling down with “hello from the other side” in his dead Dad vlog, man’s sense of humor is top tier! 😅
