I love how this music video portrays the more intimate, wondrous parts of life. Nobody else is around, it's just you and some inexplicable, magical event that years later you wonder if it even happened.
I saw a metaphor for all of life; everything interesting to us, everyone we've ever loved, every obsession we've ever had, is just us being fascinated by an interesting signal we see in the background of the universe... It's all life really is

A few weeks ago. Woke up in my tent at first light, in the mountains of central France. Striked camp and got back into my car to continue the trip. Turned on the music. This came up as the car glided along the road, winding downhill between old volcanic chimneys as far as I could see. Colors exploded under the sunrise, towers of volcanic rocks glittering above trees. French 79. Perfect moment.
The feeling when you were a child and you got into the car with your parents in the early morning to drive to go on vacation sounds exactly like this beat
This song reminds me of how much of a rush life is, everything just has to go fast if you wanna get somewhere in life or that's what we see on a daily basis atleast. Gotta work fast, study hard, and all of that just to get old and have no use for all the hard work in the end anyways, we see people rushing for trains, getting annoyed in traffic jams. All because that's what society requires of us and it's pretty sad. Modern society wants us to rush our lives giving us little to no time to actually enjoy it.

I heard this for the first time when me and my girlfriend went to Paris last year. We got back from the city, left the lights off and I stepped on the balcony with a cigarette, looking over the peaceful city glowing at night, just barely seeing the Effiel tower above the roofs of tall black apartments. Smelling the smoke mixed with the cold night air. She turned the song on her speaker and came to me to tell me how beautiful the view is and how happy she is to be here with me. An amazing moment in my life, I hope to never forget.
I've never been affected by a visual art like this. It feels so special. The music is good, but the passion in those actors eyes. This expresses sentiment so strong it hurts.

A long time ago I was friends with people who liked this kind of music. We would text each other new songs in the hopes of kinda one-upping the other. In this way, I became familiar with a lot of music I would never have otherwise. Here's to things lost.
I'm listening to this while going through my old Tumblr blog, and I can't describe what I'm feeling. It's sad and beatiful how fast the time goes by, and you just can't go back. All you have is old pictures and memories.
Time is weird fucking thing man. It’s sad how fast it goes and in the end you’re left with only the memories. Like a picture in your head and a feeling in your heart.
On nage en plein dans les 80's sur ce titre...Entre les références cinématographiques et les sonorités du morceau, on est totalement propulsé dans cet univers. Moi qui suit fan de l'ambiance sonore de la série Stranger Things, je suis ravi ! Bravo French 79 !
This song and its music video are so beautiful together. It touches on something very human without explicitly articulating it. It's something about how we search for things we're in love with or missing in our lives.
Songs bring so many memories. Hometown reminds me of being a child as I listened to this during high school. Now the more I grow up in college the more I forget what life is about. I hope to never forget that in my midst of living I am my own home
I love how they are all cautious and have a childlike curiosity about what’s going on slightly worried the first time. It’s something that surprised them from their normal lives. Their way of thought has changed now. Their normal lives are missing excitement. They now look for the action again but don’t find it for a while. The action takes on their life and they think about it while going through their normal lives. They search for something like it nonstop effecting others around them. And finally they find a blissful surrender when they find what they are looking for. They feel connected to something bigger. They are now more...
I don’t see any comments saying this ... this is beautiful .. the universe talks to us, our dead loved ones... they show us beauty in this world, they communicate through numbers flickers of lights.. we aren’t alone, and that’s ok, they’re with us, and late at night when no ones around is when we can truly feel and experience the other side ❤️❤️🧿🧿🧿👁👁👁☮️☮️🌈🌈❤️❤️

Pop musicvideos: random people are Dancing in random places Rap musicvideos: random people are smoking weed in front of Cars Electronic musicvideos: actually a movie
I don't know why, but the concept expressed in the video (at least in the way I interpret it) is fascinating: an eldritch being or entity that uses light and technology to communicate to individuals that have nothing in their lives or are otherwise bored, all giving them meaning through the light and a purpose: "follow the signal"
Negative. The old woman is also the young woman. The man is also the boy. The little girl is the man's daughter that the old woman is talking to thru the radio.

Here is how I found this song: A couple of years ago(2020) I asked my dad if I could listen to music in my room. He was very strict about me being on my phone in bed. Well, I decided to sneak my phone in off of the shelf on the other side of the room to watch some UA-cam or look for other music. This had popped up in my home page and I listened to it once. Long story short I was caught but totally worth it.
I have to admit that this was my best discovery in 2020 so far. The photography is fantastic, the music is just perfect. Absolutely fantastic work. Unbelievable.
This is the only thing that helps when i fell lonely, it gives such a strong feeling that someone is out there, waiting for you, at the place where you have never been, but it's your true home, you just have to get there, we all will, someday.

0100 = 4
0010 = 2
1000 = 8
0001 = 1
0000 = 0
1111 = 15
4 * 2 * 8 * 1 = 64

64 + 15 = *79*

@@edoardom3677 I guess you're not wrong since there is a 4 number (I don't have the word) melody at the start
Like strangers who become friends and we are glad at the sight of them...
No one is talking about how good this video is. Like you could do like a whole tv show about this and I’d watch it.
*Netflix lurking from the dark*
This song is awesome. Listen explore your imagination. Don't let anyone stop your success. See you all throughout years
Those synths melodies, arps... Amazing
Everytime the lights are turning blue
Then i tried to close my eyes to see my hometown
I don't wanna change your life
Flying to the back in time
I feel like a child wearing his cotton cloth
I don't need purified mind
The future and the past are really confusing
But I keep my feet on the ground to keep trying
I don't wanna change my life
Flying to the back in time
I feel like a child
Wearing his cotton cloth
I don't need purified mind
this feels like clear, warm water and stars running through your veins
Watching for the first time and decided to leave a comment. How come I never heard about this song before.
Speechless though, it touched my heart ❤️
This would fit so well in Dark or Stranger Things.
When you said "Dark", I stopped functioning. You are so right!
im pretty sure there has to be a stranger things advertisement that sounds like this because i dont even watch stranger things and for some reason i thought i was watching stranger thing when i heard this song
i think the same
We connected spiritually through this comment. I haven't finished watching Dark yet and I thought this would be a season finale soundtrack
How about on its own
I want to be friends with people who like this kind of Music 🎶
A long time ago I was friends with people who liked this kind of music. We would text each other new songs in the hopes of kinda one-upping the other. In this way, I became familiar with a lot of music I would never have otherwise. Here's to things lost.
@@MalikHussain-e2z hi , can you tell me what gender is this music , or can you recommend music like this plz
A song that evokes the feeling of being exactly that special thing that you always believed but suppressed by growing up... I love it so much!
Somewhere between melancholic and uplifting...beautiful 😊

Is this what being french feels like
I'm listening to this while going through my old Tumblr blog, and I can't describe what I'm feeling. It's sad and beatiful how fast the time goes by, and you just can't go back. All you have is old pictures and memories.
Time is weird fucking thing man. It’s sad how fast it goes and in the end you’re left with only the memories. Like a picture in your head and a feeling in your heart.
I feel like we're all waiting for something magical to happen to us. Maybe, instead we could make magical things happen for others?
On nage en plein dans les 80's sur ce titre...Entre les références cinématographiques et les sonorités du morceau, on est totalement propulsé dans cet univers. Moi qui suit fan de l'ambiance sonore de la série Stranger Things, je suis ravi !
Bravo French 79 !
commenting here so that a person with true sense of music can notify me to listen it again;-):-)peace and love✌️❤️
Go men
That feeling when You hear good music and it puts a smile in your face..
This song and its music video are so beautiful together. It touches on something very human without explicitly articulating it. It's something about how we search for things we're in love with or missing in our lives.
Beautifully said!
same right now happening with me. u tells the truth.
Holy crap man. This music is bring me to tears. So much emotion just flooding through me
Songs bring so many memories. Hometown reminds me of being a child as I listened to this during high school. Now the more I grow up in college the more I forget what life is about. I hope to never forget that in my midst of living I am my own home
The most beautiful thing I've ever heard 😍❤️
I-love that.
i really needed to read your comment;
my bf past away 4 months ago and i am constantly getting small gifts from him & reminders that he is ever-present
Pop musicvideos: random people are Dancing in random places
Rap musicvideos: random people are smoking weed in front of Cars
Electronic musicvideos: actually a movie
The Music and The Quality are on Par !
Well it’s like an electrical orchestra. It tells a story. So MVs definitely are a good match for it.
Such a closed minded comment, in rap or in pop there are also some great music vidéos that are not clichés like what you just said
@@StonesCraftY8 yeah but most are and they’re shit

This song makes me feel smart
this song make me feel hope inside a world full of unhappiness.
Non sense.
Este video describe ala perfección la comunicación con Los Ángeles
Just got out of jail after 17 months.
Everyone was bumping rap and the like.
French 79 was steady on my tablet.
I still close my eyes to this song and my mind just RUNS

@@lepideba-chilllord931 yeah? Nearly every facility, state and fed, in north America does now.
I am loved by people I don't know and I love people that I may never meet but I love with the hope that one we all aspire to dream impossibilities and live them creativity and with purpose, I feel I'm crying somewhere deep down inside when I think of folks chasing down their dreams and accomplishments, I love you guys, keep pushing forward and reach for the stars❤
I hope I never forget this song. Timeless euphoric beauty.
Music would have to be mankinds most magical creation.
This is one of that songs that...can't describe
you are something else man. I'm so glad you exist and pursue your incredible talent without losing sight of your humanity.

Je viens de te découvrir, et j'adore !!!!
I have to be responsible for a million of these views by now I can't stop listening
This song is the theme to 2020 it fits well with the confusion and uncertainty of this year
French 79 is so underrated
I have listened this track hundreds of times the past weeks. Makes me feel like there is so much more in life! Thank you French 79, for making this beautiful music 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Totally agree🙏🙏🙏
i hate that everytime people hear any synths they immediately say "oH tHiS wOuLd FiT iNtO sTrAnGeR tHiNgS sO wEll"
obviously they don't really know what synth is, Fm-84, The midnight, Timecop1983, Fm-attack, etc..
I know, their minds they don’t know more that that.
This song in particular could work wonders tbf tho. Sure I get your point but it's true.
Can you explain why?
That’s a good point. This song would fit into stranger things
Tin. Simon, vous envoyez de la purée, magique. Merci, continuez.
Electronic music is one of the things keeping me alive.
So glad I discovered this musician- perfect blend of melody & momentum.
Hypatia Muse he has many great tracks ❤️ found this this week, made me very very happy
Im here to be brought back to this moment ❤ Bring me back 🙏

It’s amazing how an extra terrestrial phenomena is making people obsessed. Just like love. ♥️
