So the workers that touch the pecans BEFORE the shell comes off are suited up with sterilized gloves, mask and hairnets... The guys and or gals that are actually touching the nut are barehanded.... One of those things that make you say...hmmmm. Pretty cool operation though...I'm afraid I'll have to stick with my pliers though.
