"Therapy is the new black" ❤
LMAO
"I'M NOT BEING THAT LOUD" while yelling...that's me. Anyway, such a great story.
"He couldn't text you from his car like a regular fuckboy" 😂😂😂😂😂
i love how they portrayed the whole 'internalising the rejection 'many black women suffer from their fathers who have gone on to build homes elsewhere.
JackieJacks that line was great.
lol
first you should now what you know inside your familly cause it’s chrismas..hehe ;)
So they just went to bed with no bonnet on or a satin scarf??
lol
Sade Henry lmao can't forget the bonnet
Strange thing, i was never raised to wear one. didnt start until last year lol
Satin pillow cases!
Sade Henry
She doesn't care about her hair that's why lol
How can any parent literally abandon their children, their flesh and blood, and just make a new life elsewhere like their other children don't exist?? I have never been in this situation, but it still amazes me how someone can do that.
Human beings are pretty much capable of all types of things...
Some people just aren't maternal and will always put themselves first....
just be gay, and u will see
I hear you. It really is unthinkable. But there are some people in the world who don't know how to love.
Happens all the time
"Therapy is the new black"! I would buy and rock that t-shirt. Thank you for this!
Me too
I was just thinking that should be a t-shirt
"It's intentionally lit this way for the ambiance!" Oh, I love it!
Weed, alcohol, food sometimes casual sex😂😂
You had me at the double four eyed goon mask scene. Our magic strikes again ! ⚡😍
right! that was fire lol
Mas Cass my life as a glasses girl. Lol
Loved the diffetent layers of this short and how our stories are finally being portrayed
I was thinking, ' dang! If my dad started over with a whole new family and acted like I never existed, I would egg that losers house" then BOOM. Lol.
"Weed, alcohol, food, sometimes casual sex." Ugh so relatable.
This was soooooooooooooo good. While one sister is closing herself off to the world, the other sister is dating an fboy we can only assume is similar to her father. They are both struggling in different ways, but they can still count on each other. Reminds me of me and my sis. LOVE THIS ONE!
I loved this short story. My father I felt didn’t treat all my siblings the same and the only ones that didn’t feel that way were the ones he treated right. But this story shows how me and my siblings act towards each other especially the awkward hug 🤗
I can relate and that shit hurts.
Touching, funny, captivating! Well written and filmed. Thank you
i also love the added layer of how the boy the big sister said is a fuckboy took her to a crappy place. its like her big sister senses see the worthlessness in him. i love how tru this is lool
Whew...now THIS is a lot to take in. That waffle scene...damn sis...take a moment and EXHALE.
Issa Rae and team are out here giving these creatives a space to share some real deep stories on the black experience. My fav is still the one with the little girl who kisses the boy to help her homegirl out. I could go for a mini series about that school yard life.
Both of em crazier than ketchup on a waffle
Soon2Be Fulfilled hahaha good one
Jello K. 👊
T U loool🤣🤣🤣
So dope. And the fact that she finds that comfort in her sister really is beautiful.
She said "for why". I love it already lol
I'm currently going through something like this with my sibling so this was super awesome to see
their smiles at the end almost made me cry...
Awesome story. The dialogue really captivated me. I had to rewatch this. The writer did a banging job- I aspire to do similar work. Blessings
Love seeing people manifest their own destiny.
This film shows how important the man being in their kids lives on so many levels.
Somehow he ended up addicted to Flonase. LOL! The writing, the dialogue was so, so good.
Awesome! Love how this was told especially the sister bond and the gratification they felt after throwing those eggs! Black folks really be going through it! Keep them coming Issa!💣🔥🔥
I love it !! It’s sad how much I relate to this
Lya Job same here 😔
that's exactly what I was thinking
I think God put this video in my path today. Thank you Issa Rae.
Cool! I love the "sister bond".
"One band One sound" common cadence for Drum Line. SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT
It's intentionally lit this way for the ambience!
Almost sad how much that this is relatable to my life right now
He got addicted to Flonase LOL
B.B- Therapy is the new blaq
lmaoooo at the "he couldn't text you from his car, like the typical fuckboy" hahahh
I definitely use to tell my brother's they were adopted 😂😂😂😂
I learned this year that the relationship I thought I had with a sister was nonexistent and it broke me a little bit
Kacha keep your head up. GOD is going to bless you with someone who will cherish you as a sister without even being your blood..
Wow this is my sister and I to the tee. All around. Even the father situation. Geeze. Well written story and directing. Very relatable!
The glasses and the mask did it for me 😍
I loved it... hits on the "fun" of being sisters. The ups and downs.
I freakin luv this!!!!!! I seen myself in a lot of the depression she was going through, not really knowing what to do with myself. I really can relate to these girls minus the dad thing, but depression is real people.
The ending was the best part!
I loooved this!! This was incredibly well-written, this felt like a real relationship between sisters and I really like all the shots!!
The ending was so satisfying
I'm just here waiting for Evelyn from the Internets!!!
please bring the WE ARE show back!!
I love this... Issa is the bomb. So touching in an awkward but cute way lol
This is hands down my favorite one.
This hit home! Just wow!
“I’m not being that LOUD!” *whilst yelling*
I just relate to that so much.. that’s something I would do😂😂💛
I want more we are I need more of you please I love this series and it oozes Black girl magic
I find these women to be beautiful!!! Especially the little sister!!! And they are very good actresses!!
theyre both perfect
LOVED IT! Make sure y'all tune in all October! Austin, TX will be showing out! @wearefilmseries
issa's work is always witty, funny and relatable. im blown away
The awkward egg throwing. Lol. ❤
That part when the older sister said her younger sister was meeting up with her ex made me realize how fucked my life was seeing my fuckboy was something I did not mind doing in the end hurt me the most.(TG is been ove for awhile) The fact that I can relate to this makes it easier for me to like this mini episode and want to see more episodes like this. I also liked the part when her younger sister mentioned she needs to help wiht what shes dealing with not just talking to their about dad abandoning them.
2:45 lmmfao. 4:52 lmmfao I love her she's comedy.
Did anyone else watch this twice? 😂
What a cool and touching movie! Love the bound between the sisters. 🤩
When she ate that pancake iDied.
The pancake tho🤷🏾♀️😆
“Can’t he just text you from the car like a normal fuckboy?” THAT PART
How she wolfed down that fruity pebble pancake then meditatively crunched it tho. #dead #andtheoscargoesto
Thank you for this. I'm laughing, crying, and sending it to my sisters.
Bro look how WIDE DUDES LEGS ARE .......JEEZ😲
This reminds me of me and my little sister so much I want to cry.
Whew chile, I'm definitely black! Seeing them lay in bed without a bonnet, a scarf or satin pillow cases gave me varying levels of anxiety.
Like watching pages from every journal I have owned come to life. A read lol
This touched me so much. I know how they feel.
Does anyone have the soundtrack listing? Its lit.
nevermind. got it:
puff puff & the receiver - sleepless beauty
upper reality - idgaf
mobley - swoon
soundcloud.com/upper-reality/idgaf-deep-in-ocean-air
The first song (while they are in bed) doesn't show up on Shazam. The second at the end is Swoon by Mobley.
They listed it above. It's idgaf by upper reality
The Angry Engineer issa has the best taste in music I've been saying this since her Awkward black Girl days
I LOVED THIS SO MUCH. I VIBE with BOTH of them. Very good talk about issues in regards to family. This is brilliant authentic storytelling
This was so good and so relatable. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
So good. Great writing. Really funny. Wanna see more episodes of these two!
THIS IS SO RELATABLE WOW reminds me of me and my sisters and our interactions lol
I love it 😂 Me and my sister don’t get along but we do have a bond like this 😂😂
Loooove this series soooo much! I watch this episode over and over again for the past year. I want to see a series, full series on "Comedy Central" Love, love, love. Evelyn and the Photography episode.
So cute!
This was wonderful to witness! Sisters in the struggle Thanks for sharing! 🖤
He didn't have to sit with his legs that far apart I hate when guys do that
Right?! His cheap ass hogging up the whole damn bench AND her food! lol #boybye
I'm so in love with this episode! THANK YOU!!
My older brother told me I was adopted too! Lol
I LOVED IT!!!
Couldnt take my eyes off of them. Hardly blinked! Lol
I really enjoyed this
I feel so much of this... great music, characters, lighting and so much more!!😂❤️
I didn’t want this to end 😭
The younger sister's boyfriend looks like Shia Labeouf lol.
Literally me and my sister except my sister doesn't drink or smoke weed👭❤️🍾🚬😂😂😂
This is literally my sister and me. I'd send this to her, but we aren't talking right now. 😒
send it anyway!
Send it!!!!!
That was actually very funny and real!
Thank you for this. I can already feel the healing happening from watching it! #givemeanegg
Good job!! Love it.... Thought provoking!!
I am from a two parent household but relate to most of this. my father worked away all of the time and came home on weekends. he worked closer to home when my brother was born but i guess having four daughters first wasn't motivation enough. whatever.... his was an excellent short.... i would love to see a series but i also love the beauty of this short. it left us in a comfortable place where we can leave this story here for the characters to develop privately but if this was a series i would watch. i relate to both sisters as i am the second eldest sibling ... let me stop because this will be an essay. this was brilliance though.
Righteous. LOVEIT!! Salute!!
Love this short film!!
*OMG I LOVE THIS IS GOOD I LOVE IT*
Nice use of Mobley's song here
I LOVED THIS!!!
