LOVE THIS! I know a lot of people hated the final episode but I really loved it. I was kinda hoping Jack would return but I guess that leaves the possibility open for the opening episode of next season :)
Amy Gillespie I think the episode would’ve been brilliant without the whole “Doctor is the timeless child” thing, that was the only thing that ruined it for me. Character development was great aside from that.
@@opheliaheath9506 yeh I completely agree. the whole 'doctor is the timeless child' thing has ruined so many previous plots and has ultimately rewritten the whole of doctor who since the 1st doctor. No one should have that power, except the original writers and Stephen cause I loved the 10th and 11th doctors. But seriously, I still loved how they brought back so many fan favourites this season. There was never a dull moment, just really stupid decisions that have had a major influence on the show as a whole.
Amy Gillespie Yeah! If they altered that plot point a bit then I think it could’ve been good but it just invalidates what was already accepted as the doctor’s life.
I liked it too. I understand why people don't like it, but at the same time, the emotional reaction of the fans mirrors the impact of that revelation in-universe. It's devastating to have everything you thought you knew uprooted, but plot wise, it does open up a lot of possibilities.
@@t.matthies3049 A lot of people don't like it (me included) because the Doctor isn't an ordinary Time Lord anymore. The whole point of the show was that the Doctor is just an ordinary person who became known across the universe because they were creative, friendly, and kind. This kinda ruins the whole theme as it says that the Doctor was a special snowflake from the start. Of course, you don't have to hate the reveal, but since you wanted to know why people hated it, this was one of the reasons (other reasons could be the billion plot holes this has caused, but tbf, a show that's been running as long as Doctor Who is bound to have many plot holes). Personally, I feel like it would've been so much better if the Timeless Child was literally anybody except for the Doctor or the Master (I feel like another huge part of the theme is that they both are equals and that's what makes their dynamic so wonderful and interesting) because then we would've 1) Had a new villain and 2) Had a possible Doctor/Master team up and most importantly 3) Not have the theme of the show be ruined. Of course, most of it was just my opinion, but I have heard many people being upset because they felt like the theme went whack because of this reveal
I love how this fits the master's personality especially the latest incarnation of the master.. The lyrics are just dead on.. As well as the mood of the music
