Witches: *die*
At least they didn't overdose on the Force and die like Luke Skywalker lol.
You know it's bad when SWC is frustrated and venting. He's usually fairly neutral with his takes.
Bro quimir should have been the main character we’d finally get a sith as our main character
so they cemented they guy killed himself over nothing....
Right, i feel like everyone is ignoring that. Ya he was whiny punk, but Sol was the one stirring the pot over and over again
@@Zilvia33 right cause being violated as a teen is something you can just get over.
@@SM-cv8svBut he didn't commit suicide out of trauma he did it out of guilt even though he did nothing wrong
@@fightclub6284fr I’m really frustrated over that. It it was scarring in his mind that made him want to die it could have been interesting but the show goes out of it’s way to say “he’s feeling so much guilt he wants to die” so the whole show we are waiting for the “why”. Then we find out this thing he’s so filled with guilt over is that he wanted to go home but instead was mind assaulted by evil witches, was shot at by Witches, beat up by a Wookie, and then didn’t kill anyone. Why didn’t they let him kill some witches, or at the very least the mom that was stabbed should have been Torbin’s fault. He has no reason to feel guilt enough to poison himself. It’s just so the plot could kill him and move on. 😤
@@MegaNinjaRyanI agree it was mishandled. Torbin was rash and made a move to go the witches home. But Sol caught up with him and took charge. Sol deserves the blame.
Looking fwd to the 24 minute fan edit of the whole series
That includes opening and ending credits, AND lingering on a fully naked HalfSithBoy...
Yep. It feels like it should have been a film. Maybe from Sol and the Strangers perspective. Also not making the Jedi the baddies
That's generous. Episode 1 alone needs so much rewriting and reshooting to simply make it a satisfyingly entertaining piece of TV that I don't think anything can be done using footage from all 8 episodes; I've spent hours thinking about how to fix it in my head, and I like what I've come up with, but after that there's no real story going on, and nothing useful from any other episode. I mean, you'd end up having to dub over every character to fix the dialogue and make a better story just so you can use Disney's lazy footage...? But there's no ACTING to work with from most of them. Amandla's a fricken robot, for one. So at that point the fans would be better off making a stop motion Lego film from scratch with a shaky phone camera so no frame lines up with the next and every character has a smiley face at all times, even in the most shocking and horrific scenes where everyone is screaming.
I really do hope Korril shows up in 8 and Qimir just kills her like it's nothing, and Mae sees it. Because I'm really tired of hearing about her, she is singlehandidly the most annoying character on this show. She's not a Sith Lord, she's a zabrak, and a helicopter mom, and a terrible person. And to act as if she has ANY power over Qimir, is a joke.
Sol was completely Justified in killing Anisaya. She was absorbing Mae with Darkside Witch Magick
Don’t forget last time Anisaya used her powers she started torturing Torbin. Along with the fact that horns lady draws her weapon implying they’re about to fight
So where was the great betrayal or transgression worthy of the Jedi being killed off early in the show? Also the Sol / Osha dynamic in this episode was creepy.
Exactly and how did Mae know Torben's actions? Was Torben's mind still compromised 16 years later?
YES! Talk about obsessive-compulsive. I think that planet was influencing The Jedi in a not-so-positive way.
@@epiclight858 did you notice that she never gave specifics about what he did? All she did was logic out the reason for his vow of silent mediation and used it to manipulate him into taking the poison.
Did you miss the fact that Sol killed Mae’s mom and that everyone else also died because of the jedi?
@@andreasjohansson1990 Except, it was because the witch coven was possessing a Jedi, who was attempting to kill 2 members of his Order. How could a Jedi Master, using The Force to break a Dark Magic spell, make them murderous? If the coven hadn't possessed a Jedi, they wouldn't have been in peril. BTW: Do We even know how/why the collective of witches died, when Kelnacca was freed of their possession?
'lone assassin seeking revenge'
From the show opening we are told of a 'lone assassin seeking revenge'. We can assume this is Mae as the Sith doesn't attack the Jedi directly until episode 5 (although you could argue he 'takes' her story arc). So it's a story of Mae (by herself) who is an assassin seeking revenge for something. That could be interesting. Except that is not the story at all. She cowboy's into a bar and basically says "Draw you dirty dog". Kills one Jedi. Goes to another planet and finds her target and says "Draw you dirty dog" again. Can't kill this one and offers him poison which he voluntarily takes. She was never a 'lone' anything as she had the Sith backing her (he made the poison) and telling her where the Jedi were. I think at this point we can safely say she is also not an assassin but she is looking for revenge. Except she is not because she finds out her sister is alive. I thought she wanted revenge for her mothers and coven deaths but it seems she only wanted it for her sister. Her 'revenge' is now being called a "Deal" she made with a Sith. Okay so she is not a lone assassin (never was) or out for revenge anymore. So 4 episodes into the story they said they would tell, doesn't even exist and what we are given in its place doesn't make sense. It was finally ruined in episode 7? It was ruined from the 1st scene in episode 1 onwards.
when I watched Episode 7 I got really confused on whether this episode was viewing from another perspective or if all this was a flashback
The episode acts like it's from the Jedi perspective but then show us a bunch of stuff that could've been in EP 3 from the girls point of view.
when Master Torbin entered the spot where the sacrifice took place. at first I thought he was in the present. cuz it was night time and nobody was around. but then Mother Aniseya appeared through entering his mind. when Mother Aniseya asked Master Torbin "What do you want" Master Torbin said "to go home" that's when she left his mind and he was still with Master Sol, Master Indara and Master Kelnacca.
Mother Aniseya was not the villain of the cult. it was Mother Koril. cuz Mother Koril was the one that influenced Mae to stop Osha from going with the Jedis
@@ShadowGaming-bk3qtdo you feel that Koril at least tried to reason with everything first? I felt Sol stabbing the mother was too much and justified all of Koril’s initial feelings.
How is it possible that a show raises more questions then gives out answers? This thing is supposed to be a murder mystery but nothing makes sense. In episode three we see the witches are dead and then fast-forward to episode seven. It doesn’t make sense how they died.
I literally thought the wookie beat Torbin into the Barash Vow 😂
I would have loved to see the enraged Wookie to kill all off, the witches, the kids, the Jedi and the Sith. Blood bath Wookie would have been incredible
That's a rad idea actually! Like their power backfiring on them because, you know, they ARE dark side users/literal witches. It wouldn't have redeemed the show for me, but it would have made for a good episode I think :)
A wookie slipping in to the equivalent of Wolverine's rage would of been cool.
Instead we have a very wooden actor moving unconvincingly with varied displays of strength. Completely bypassing the political debates raging over this series, to look at it for sum of it's parts, it's a very weak production. That said Manny Jacinto is the breakout for me in this, as I could watch more related to the character. Flip side of that being I don't see the performance from Lee Jung-jae that others are praising. Beyond being a poorly convinced character, the actor isn't engaging me in the least.
I think we need to be talking about how weak the lightsaber fight was and the whole confrontation with the witches. Compared to ep 5 this recent fight was terrible and had no real stakes or tension. And this was supposed to out do the prequels? Just insulting star wars at this point
The fire went from a chemical fire to a electrical fire. The electrical system surged. Simple. Didn't high-school teach you how fire works?
Witches on the outer rim follow neither building codes nor "OSHA" standards...
Simple? No circuit breakers? Even granting your electrical fire explanation, the entire castle was made of stone. Stone isn't flammable.

You might as well say that a high rise building cannot burn because it's made of concrete and steel...
I enjoyed how they told the story from two different angles. It was an interesting way to utilize episodic media.
While it may be and interesting way to use that type of media, one should, especially as a director, know and understand when to use it and when it works; this story told in chronological order with some flashbacks would have made more sense to most people
@@dsb7318 I thought it was used fine. I’m bored of regular flashbacks and having two separated episodes showing two points of view worked well for me. But then again I judge things on my own with my own merit values and don’t just spout talking points that don’t apply like “but dur show don’t tell dur dur”
Cal Kestis is my only reason to like new age starwars. Hes BADASS
There’s not enough time to finish the show right with one episode left
all the lightsaber fights are really good and they aren’t the problem. THE WRITING is the problem on so many levels and this series has been a major let down. The episodes feel out of order and it feels like they didn’t have a determined direction for the show. Let Dave Filoni run ALL of star wars already
Well, after this miniseries began, was around the time Filoni was made CCO (around 2022). However, even in that role, his powers are somewhat limited. He can't cancel projects, he can't outvote other creatives (only counsel and suggest), and he can't take over storytelling from other writers/Showrunners (only give notes and make requests). Contrary to certain statements, of late, Filoni was not in charge of this production (which is why his name never appears in any of the end credits for it). If anything, he was brought in midway during the show's making, when scripts had already been written. Skeleton Crew will probably mark when Filoni's influence is more pronounced within new SW content, going forward (since it's very much a Watts/Ford/Favreau/Filoni collaboration, and it's part of The Mandoverse).
What's wrong with the writing? I think you just lack patience for a new story to unfold. I have seen a lot worse than this series. Y'all just want to hate.
I.
Think they were planning that it will go well and they will make a season too.
A bit late with this whole "ruined" thing but at least you've finally noticed
Im so sad that I assumed that the siths arrive to kill the imposter sith qimir, just to be presented, that mother koril comes to the rescue and is the one who possesed and betrayed qimir...
This is Star Wars version of Star Trek Discovery
"STAR WARS RUINED!" Every 1,000th time Star Wars is "RUINED" you get a free coffee I think.
I wish qimir was behind the fire , cause he knew alot what happend that day
I’m still confused as to why Torbin would want to kill himself from this. He meditated for so long and never realized “hey, maybe if that witch women didn’t stoke my desire to go home, none of this would happen”. And why is it that he is getting sick of being away from home? He is a Jedi, he should not care lol
It had better be an hour plus for closure 😵💫
Small thing that bothered me (among many larger things that also bother me) does Padowan have an allergy to Bacta? Some scratches on his face, even from a wookie, would be healed within a few hours of Bacta Theropy.
Or he kept them out of guilt? He is clearly still trouble by those events to the point of taking the Barash Vow.
Yes bacta would have made sense hell even to heal master trinity after her dagger wound but your forgetting a crucial component of the show the ppl who wrote/produced I doubt spent anytime learning about the lore of the SW universe
I like it because it was funny. Tragedy on top of Dramatic Irony. It’s just funny. Like super funny.
And now we only get one more episode of actual show , this reminds me in bad batch . Multiple episodes of absolute nothing burgers and then the actual story happens in the finale.
It was a pos...from number 1
The fire spread because it's a cortosis mine. It'll also explain why the Jedi couldn't detect the witches there.
Isn't it obvious?
180 Mio USD for 8 episodes 😅 and two of them are the same but shot from a different angle 😂😂😂😂
Agree, the council does.
Welcome to the party Pal!
i think in the end the big finale Sol will die Qimir will take Osha as her Acolyte and Venestra and the Jedi will sweep everything under the rug. So the 2 Season will be about Qimir and Osha probably they will be only teasing it. I do expect Venestra to play some role i think it was her Whip that hurt Qimir.
My worst fear is they cant wrap up the story in one episode and we have to endure another season of this crap
The Acolyte is the worst piece of Star Wars media ever made.
Rise of Skywalker? Are you really going to say this is worse that that film?
Definitely not the worst , but lots of filler which waste episodes
I agree with ya…and yeah ROS and TLJ exist so yeah I’m saying it’s worse. But then again I found ObiWan tolerable, I liked BOBF and found Mando season 3 to be awesome…so what do I know 😂
@@ishowspeedplug2845I agree there’s no need for filler episodes this type of show 6 episodes should keep a good pace throughout the whole thing. No one cares about flash backs. We would have got all the info we care about when sol reveals what happened. In like 5 minutes
I am 100% sure they influnced tried to copy the perspective episodes from attack on titan, but they failed miserably
Felt like I watched the first episode all over again like CMon I’m tired of flashbacks
It's funny, looks like the whole idea of this episode was to fill plot-holes, and ended opening more... I feel bad of the lack of imagination, creativity and coherance that the people writing this show are giving us.
Adds this series down there with the Ewok adventure tv shows that ill never watch again.
Didn't the witches say they were persecuted and hunted by the Jedi in the earlier episodes So when Trinity from the Matrix contacted the Jedi Council they said to leave them alone and return to Curoscant ....wait I thought they said they were being Hunted. that's why the live in the Outer Rim in seclusion?
They said the lightsaber duels in the last two episodes will rival that of the prequels 🤔😂
I know why it was 180 million. Flammable bricks and metal detectors are expensive😂
Why does everyone hate torbins actions??? is everyone on meth??? he was just trying to do what he thought was right, especially after mother assoleya rewired his brain
Best part of the vide and top notch comment ever.
"Spoilere ahead... few sec later I honestly have no idea whast gonna happen or who will be involved."
Well now you have "integrity"
That finale better be 60 mins +
I was expecting the "16 year guilt" to be about the Jedi doing something that a Jedi would never do, but I wasn't expecting their 16 years of guilt to be about the Jedi doing something that any normal person would do.
Ofc u gonna get stabbed for doing something that sus in a heated situation.🤦♂
They shouldn’t use flashbacks at all in Star Wars and just explain things outright because now it’s leads to he said but she said situation just makes the truth muddled.
How many more of this content will they keep repeating until they toss the whole IP to the bin and never use it again or give it away?
Parrots in here.
They destroyed it when Disney got it. 💯💔
@@Ghosty72401 no I’ve been lucky enough to have lived through all of it. This new stuff isn’t the only Star Wars I know. It’s bad writing and cannon breaking. See star wars means a lot to a whole lot of people. Disney ruined for 90% of us Star Wars geeks.
Some of the best Star Wars combat in Episode 5, and that's it for this series. Pretty sad...
man a lot of people are unfamiliar with nonlinear story telling and it shows.
I know I'm mainly basing it off the prequels but yes the saber fights are good, but they still feel flat
Ep.5 deserves better. Well, we got a one good episode, that’s always something.
Hold up! The fire was electrical traveling along the wires in the walls and caused the explosion in the mining facility!
Lmfao Sol had a look on his face in that woods like he wanted Mae and Osha to get in his white van 😂😂😂😂
Sol wanted a padawan but he also saw Osha not wanting to be there. He got half the picture and wanted to save someone who didn't need saving. He has real remorse for his actions and wanted to confess from the start. Y'all just want to hate...
I hope the rumors about Georgia Lucas returning and taking over Star Wars again are true
Can i sue Disney for my time back? I feel mislead and scammed
It was ruined before but episode 7 was underground
"FINALLY" lol. Dude its been trash since the first episode 🗑! Lol
How did the black moms body end up in that hall if sol tabbed her in the courtyard….
They recut the episodes in last minute. All of them. This episode has been made up the last few months. They changed their own lore because they were afraid of our reactions. 😂
I don't think I have ever seen something on screen beeing so bad it just deserve to be mocked a little and forgotten.
Hear me out.. Darth P essence transfer from momma Buttersworth to corral, then to kalnecca, then to form of kimirs current master. Does that some what fix the plot?
A lot of the usual shills on twitter/x were quiet last night. Really says a lot.
Did you see Grace Randolph's negative review?! Disney's in trouble, when even she's not on board with the narrative.
The only defence 7 has is that Torbin was long before Anakin, and is probably the reason why Anakin didn't get made a master.
Still, this show (along with the Sequel Trilogy) are definitive cases if "subcerting expectations done wrong".
Just when we thought this show couldn't get anymore cringe...
Why can't we just enjoy the show for what it is, without having every fan boy cry out loud about it?
"finally ruined" 🤣
They should have just shown these events in ep 3. Or not have twins at all and we find qimir taking down jedi
This episode was crazy. So wild the route they are taking Star Wars.
It’s an absolute train wreck! 🤦♂️
I must've watched a different show because I really liked this, especially when rewatching episode 3 afterwards. Sol feels pulled to Osha like Qui-Gon was to Anakin. He wants to take her and train her, Council be damned, but the coven won't let her go... except for Anasya
I don’t like how bulky the light sabers are. Also it doesn’t really feel like the golden age of the Jedi 😔
I wanted to see how Sith was involved and how Sith rescue May.
Good points about knives out. You’re right it could have been flashbacks but to be positive, that escalation fight was necessary.
I could think of a better show like what if yuuzhan vong Started their invasion during The last year of the clone wars and was rate MA
Should have stuck with the Legends cannon....
Finally? Show was effed from Jump Street.
Finally ruined it? Ooff.
I love Star Wars including Star Wars Acolyte.
They are tanking star wars to reboot it all.
They ruined the dark side build up….
The Wookie fight was not cool - it was executed very stupidly.
Wasn't let down at all. This was my favorite episode of the season. Explaining everything with short flashbacks is over used in TV and movies. I prefer vantage points and perspectives.
Come on guys. They are telling rich stories. New ideas are cool to me. I am seeing these through my child eyes.
There are going to be so many unanswered questions at the end of this series that completely ruined the series and regardless of this horrible writing and storyline we're going to be left with series that doesn't get renewed and leaves us all with unanswered questions forever. Ultimately affecting every future series or movies.
yeah the show was finally getting bearable in episodes 5-6, and then they just re-ran episode 3 with a few minutes of new footage. nothing makes sense, nothing gets explained and the whole story happens because a 20+ year old gets homesick on a 7 week camping trip 🤦♂
I still don't understand how the hell this was written and approved. Powerful jedis being killed with knifes and smalltalks... I think Star wars needs a few years break and they should take the time to write something of quality or adapt any of the novels that are awesome.
This show should have been set on fire at the pitch meeting. Take the $180 mil and see if you can do a better second season of Kenobi. You couldn't do any worse with it compared to this disaster.
I'm now at the stage of being shocked at just how bad this show can get. They don't know what they're doing and they're way out of their depth.
Fight seemed really clunky to me
Bunch of Karen’s hating on each other for likes. Best actor dies ep. 1. Doesn’t even come back as a force ghost. Just a memory.
A better series would have been based on the Jedi Wookies there English speaking homies and others and the path to Quimir’s imbalance.
Nevertheless, telling the story from 2 different angles has picked the current series up. The Wookie Jedi assault was epic. The mother witch that died should have had an assault as well. But she was soft!
It was an oil lamp that started an electrical fire. Obviously you're not educated about fires
If you need me, I'm gonna be in Westeros watching the Targaryens kill each other.
Same. God Was the last episode good of HOTD.

Big facts ✌️
Thank God we have HOTD during these Star Wars dark days.
The Sorcerers from Asshai are way cooler than these Star Wars Witches
