So nice to see this much water and fountains in use still!! Most malls see fountains as more space to sell garbage. Which leads me to believe these fountains won’t be around much longer… but here’s hoping they stay.
Exactly why I spend that much time filming those fountains. It is unfortunate how more fountains and plants, and even some cool features, are being ripped out just for the sake of making the mall more modern and for marketing reasons. Making shopping malls feel less welcoming these days. I can still remember how shocked and saddened I was when those cool fountains from my local mall were ripped out from that renovation project. It didn't even feel like the same mall anymore. I am also crossing my fingers Bal Harbor Shops fountains will stay, but you never know.
Bal harbour is one of my favourite outdoor malls, the greenery and fountains are simple but elegant. Feels laid back like Florida.
