Once again I must say that Fernando Sor is from another dimension. How could anybody, any one person write such beautiful music and so much of it. Then you have these performers that are so young and some of the best musicians I've ever heard.
No había escuchado a este guitarrista. Su interpretación es excelente. Por lo que dice la presentación, la guitarra está fabricada el año 2015 al estilo del período romántico. Se ve muy interesante este instrumento y suena muy bien. Congratulaciones.
I'm no authority here, but if you mean the guitar itself I think it's a modern take on an, iconic, period instrument from around the late 19th century. It also has a hint of a handlebar mustache to the bridge that reflects the 12 string, 6 course guitars from the late 18th century. I say "iconic" as it has a raised fingerboard as well as 6 strings. The first guitar known to have a raised finger board was an 1804 Manuel Munoa, which incidentally had a very slightly mustached bridge. It's in the Ramirez collection. This guitar had 12 strings. So, as I said, I think it's a modern take on a late 19th century guitar as it employs a raised fingerboard and 6 strings. The marvelous book by Brian Whitehouse called "The Ramirez Collection" inspired this answer.
Yes I was referring to the guitar itself. Thanks for the detailed response. I was mostly just after what they call the body shape/style. It is very narrow and elongated. The headstock is also an interesting piece I've never seen before. I'm pretty new to classical guitars though.
Hey Daniel G, I love the sound of this style guitar. They have a very Lute sound going on. Don't know much about the guitars shape though. I'd speculate that it's something to do with the ergonomics.

Bravo! You rocked this Mr. Perera! Unfathomable to me how anyone can give this this a thumbs down.
It's really nice to see a man play with a little smile and expression on his face!

The variety in this song is mind blowing! Anyone know what they call that style of guitar?

I'm pretty sure it is a reproduction of an instrument by Rene Lacote (1785 - ca. 1868) of Paris.
7:08 wow, me encanta como se equivoca en este momento pero logra tapar la nota!
re atento! , ami me costo ver el error, e igual el Mi queda bien en esa nota pedal...
what guitar is this ?? is it a concert Parlour?? based on Torres design
What type of guitar is that.Looks much smaller than normal. Or is it the predecessor of the modern guitar?
You're correct, it's a predecessor. It looks like a Lacote copy. It's the type of guitar Sor played on. This is before the more modern Torres design.
Is this a tiny guitar? Am I wrong or does this guitar look quite small?
It's a "romantic" guitar of the time period...
Que envidia cochina
EXCELLENT playing but the sound of the guitar was rather "plastic" sounding.
Because of the damn plastic Strings.
Real gut would have been historical correct for the First three Strings e1 b2 g3
