watch the dance practice version of Good Night, the marionette part is so good especially since you can see the feet movements better.
to see the choreo, dance practices are better imo since you can see the full choreo. the performance videos zoom in so you miss what others are doing. like for good night, the beginning sequence got cut off a lot in the dance performance version. dreamcatcher actually incorporates a lot of techniques so their choreos are actually pretty complex.

The only sad thing about watching them live in concert is that you can’t replay and rewind. But it is one of the best experiences in the world. I got to see them in December 2019. Kinda wish Scream had come out before then. I would’ve DIED.
Which venue did you got to? I was at the Jersey City venue. Got to see them upclose and took pics with them too at the OTS event, i was in the front row ahhhhhhhh. And yeah seeing them in person is way better than just watching on screen! Videos don't do them justice when you seen them live, its like they got this surreal feel, like my eyes as saying they are in front of my face, but my mind isn't comprehending it lol. And Jiu looked like a live anime girl in person with that purple/bluish hair omg i'm dead haha. At the high touch i tried throwing finger hearts but end up throwing up gang signs, she got me all messed up like that lmao.
Kheat Takor Ah, just seeing this! I went to the one in Orlando because I live in Miami. I got VVIP, I wasn’t able to get a hundred more dollars for the Over The Sky event. But I got to sit next to my bias JiU during the photo and that just made my year honestly. She’s so cute. Dami’s hi five was super soft and she spoke so much English at our concert, more than Yoohyeon did. Siyeon’s hi five literally made my hand sting and it was red for a while haha, she’s powerful and her aura was really strong even while she was giving the cutest eye smile. I was three rows from the stage and it was my first Kpop concert. Such an amazing experience seeing my girls live. My only regret is not being able to say anything other than hi because I was freaking out, especially when I saw JiU, poor Gahyeon was right after JiU ages I was so out of it Gahyeon is the only member I can’t really remember seeing that close. T-T but it was so great

Dami with red hair is everything
Just a small nugget for deja vu dance. The ending is a reverse of the intro dance!! go watch it again!! (the cheorographer's interpretation of a deja vu imo)
"I love the masks." The masks in scream actually represent internet anonymity (with the exception of the masked dancer who is filling in for Handong). The song / MV is about internet hate and bullying.
The tree in the MV is "The Tree of Language" and the intro "One day the light did not come. People forgot how to say good things" is a commentary on how the internet has gone from a source of information and entertainment (a good thing) to a dark place filled with hate and bullying.
As the song progresses they go from "Please I don't want to scream", which refers to the victims of internet bullying wanting to scream because of the frustration, anger, sadness and / or the general helplessness created by them getting bullied. Then we go to "No more, no more, no more", which is the turning point where they decide to stop being a victim. Finally we end up with "I just want to make you scream", where they decide to fight back against the bullies.
Knowing this, a lot of the symbolism and lyrics kind of fall into place. They make a lot more sense. For example, when they're walking in a circle around Gahyeon and they're all pointing at her. This represents the bullies ganging up on someone online. At another point in the MV they all walk away, leaving the white mask on the ground. This symbolizes the point where they've decided to stop listening to online hate.
Internet bullying is a big thing when it comes to kpop. Knetizans (Korean internet denizens), or 'knetz' will pile on and bully an idol for just about any reason, from how they look (too fat, too skinny, not pretty enough to be an idol) to what they wear in public to how much makeup they were wearing at a specific time to, well, just about anything. It has gotten to the point, in some cases, where idols have actually committed suicide due to, at least in part, the internet hate they've received.
This song as well as others from groups, like Mamamoo and Blackpink, and some soloists, like IU, is part of a recent trend where kpop idols have started to snap back at the haters and bullies. Some idols, most notably IU, have even started to report internet bullies to the authorities and push to have charges filed against them.
On a lighter note, it's time for me to put on my "Mr Kowitall" hat and throw out some knowledge. As most Dreamcatcher fans know, the fandom name is "InSomnia". What some don't know is that the capital 'S' is significant. The fandom name is actually 2 conjoined words, 'In' and 'Somnia', somnia being the Latin word for dreams. So, the fandom name means "In Dreams", not "I can't sleep". We're also known, informally, as 'Dreamers', for obvious reasons.

As far as I know the only choreographies has done is Red Sun, Taki Taki, Havana, and Copycat, Red Sun being the first Dreamcatcher song that she choreographed. Hopefully she'll be able to do more in the future! ^_^
i recommend reacting to their dance practice videos as they showcase the choreography much better. all of the zooming/camera movement on the dance videos makes you miss a lot. you thought the beginning to good night was good? just wait until you see all of them at once.

imma be honest, when I was trying to learn their names sua and siyeon and also yoohyeon and jiu gave me a headache bc I was constantly mixing them up, now I look back and can't understand how and why lmao
They look quite similar you must admit. Even the members said it themselves they look alike.

@@kaylalaraeart I wouldn't say that is true for all of them, but SuA and Siyeon do look very similar. They both have very sharp features, but Siyeon tends to look a little more intense than SuA.
ChoiSomnia Blackrose no I was just saying they have similar features. Of course all their faces look very very different. I’m a portrait artist and I’ve painted and drawn each of them before. They are very different but have some features that are quite close to each other. And for someone just getting to know them and figuring out their features it could be a bit confusing. But to some people it could come more easily. It’s different for everyone.
Sua & Siyeon are definitely the hardest for most first timers since there are alot of scene where they are being together and look like twins 😅

Don't worry about the names. It legit took me a whole ass week to tell the difference between sua/siyeon as well as jiu/yoohyeon.
I remember being caught off-guard by the guitar at 2:31 and Sua's part at 2:38. Such a great juxtaposition.
i love your commentary on the dances, and the good night intro snatches my soul every time. slight tip: if you hear a deep voice and it’s not dami (who you know), it’s handong! she tends to get the least lines, which is borderline sacrilege, lol.

Yeah, gotta add to chorus on what others are saying. Always check out the dance practices with Dreamcatcher. Shows off the choreo much better. The dance videos are just okay in comparison with a few exceptions, like the suit dance for scream.

7:04 the camera person didn't shoot the lower part, it was the coolest part tho. most dancers who reacted to good night's choreo were extremely impressed by this part. I hope u also watch the dance practice version.

A lot of people see a few music videos from them & think it’s just another girl group but the deeper you dive more you begin to realise how stacked/technically talented they are from singing to dancing & to rapping even. They train very hard & it shows in the performance in everytime. My biggest turn off with a lot of the big groups is you can see them taking a night off sometimes. With Dreamcatcher it always seems like the hunger to succeed/enjoyment is always there & I love that so much 😍
As a new Insomnia, I can’t help but compare them with BP, coz it was BP that first got me interested in kpop. I thought BP was up there. Thank God Spotify recommended Scream in my playlist. DC HAS SO MUCH TO OFFER COMPARED TO THE REST! The talent, the energy, the passion.. and don’t get me started with ALL THE CONTENT! And even their concept.. watching Sera’s reaction videos helped me learn the lore.. and I was like.. OMG, THEY HAVE LORE!!! Their self-made MVs also shine.. choreo by Sua... and the parody they made BECAUSE THEY WERE BORED! They really are not just another Girl Group. The fandom was correctly named because for several weeks, I literally had Insomnia going all through their stuff 😅🤯.. now I’m voting like crazy in CHOAEADOL to help get them their first win.. DC not having their first win yet is definitely a pet peeve of Insomnias.

Most people get Siyeon and Sua mixed up in the beginning, Sua is the shorter one and Siyeon is the taller one.

Dance performance videos are cool and all, but I really prefer the actual dance practice videos where you can see the entire choreo. Some groups (probably the decision of the company to be fair) sometimes only lost performance videos, but not dance practices and I just want to cry lol

I absolutely love SuA's power flex near the end of Scream - it's my favourite part.
In Good Night at the beginning they do some crazy footwork which you need to watch (even if you don't react).
In Deja Vu the start and the end are related, kind of a Deja Vu moment... Also, in the chorus, when Yoohyeon plucks something from her mind you see 2 copies (JiU and Siyeon) popping out behind her - another Deja Vu moment. :)
In Fly High near the end SuA does a high kick which you couldn't really see in this version.
Ahhhh Yes.. Sua my bias. Funny thing is, I first loved her for her vocals before knowing that she was the main dancer. Now, it’s Sua OMG. 🤯

Sua's name is pronounced Sue-Ah, you been pronouncing it right 😊. And the "Deja Vu" part "So now i'm holding this pain" that was Handong, not Yoohyeon. Some people get confused with the two lol
I'm a newish somnie and I'm still struggling to tell those two apart. I got everyone else pretty quick (especially Dami bc damn am I gay for her) but I'm on like image search finding pictures of them and putting them next to each other like "okay Yoohyeon's nose looks like that and Handong's got those eyes"
It still hasn't really helped me though 😅
@@Aelariel lol, if u looking at them both blonde hair will be hard, but Handong gone through an orange hair phase while Yoohyeon went through some silver hair phase. If u seen some with them in one hair color or the other, atleast u can differentiate between the two. Plus those two are really close to each other, so I can see they share beauty tips. But I guarantee the more videos of them u watch the more u can tell them apart lol.
Mixing up SuA and Siyeon is a norm for new inSomnia’s.
I personally never had trouble with them since Sua's nose is very distinct
Exessen most not all inSomnias mix them up and because of that Siyeon and SuA like to play with them sometimes for example with SuA calling herself Siyeon and such. lol
