Bay with rip current

Despite the safe appearance, this is one of the most dangerous accessible beaches (with sand all the way to surf) to swim on this island. A fisherman drowned here few weeks prior. Notice the diagonal waves crossing, water fills the bay on right side (nearest view) and exits a narrow channel on the left side (furthest view). I tried swimming here without fins but quit because it didn't feel right.

@@321ssteeeeeve Just looked it up on Google maps. Woah, facing west with all the swells of the Atlantic, no wonder these waves are so big. And if the waves don't drown you, the sharks tear you to pieces 😱. Damn that's scary. Cheers from France
