This looks craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy good! Inspiring to see builds like this. I love when you guys do these projects - I never have the time (and don't have the tube bending skills) to do builds like this and get to live vicariously watching them. Great work, also excellent camera work and editing on the beauty shots!
same. if I did a hardline build it would never look this good and Im way too old (37) to start trying to learn this as a hobby. Ill stick with aircooling and live thru jay on these bad ass hardline water cooled builds.
Jay, you have no quit. I love that you just keep working and adjusting and overcoming all of the obstacles that you encounter with these builds. You are not just entertaining but you inspire us that are complete novices. I can't stop watching your content, I really enjoy the information and also your complete honesty with builds and reviews. I value your opinions and all the work you, Nick, and especially Phil put into this channel. I'm handicapped and lost my ability to walk so I live on my pc. I hope one day I can find a way to get out of this hospital bed and build a custom water-looped rig. Thank you for everything your team does. Keep making videos and I'll keep watching. Thank you all!
Absolutely blown away by the craftsmanship in this build! The attention to detail, from meticulously reinserting the GPU and ensuring every component works harmoniously, to resolving the tiny yet crucial fitting leaks, just showcases the high standards and precision throughout. The way you navigated the thermal troubleshooting with such insight, and the finesse in getting the RGB setup just right, it all speaks volumes of your skill. And Phil, what a stellar montage - the visuals paired with that catchy tune, "Trust the Process" by Ballpoint, just took it to another level! It was so good I had to track down the song myself. Thanks for putting together such a quality video; I'm completely enamored with the new Skunkworks V6! 🌟🎶
I love how Jay really cares about the quality of his builds. It shows that building this PC isn't just about views, but about self satisfaction in a job well done.
I was writting a lot about how I love this channel since I started to follow Jay many many years ago and what the first Skunworks means to the PC pasionate followers but instead I'm going to say. Thanks! Thanks for keeping your content so true and being honest with us all theese years.
I just finished my first custom water loop PC on Halloween. Doesn't look as immaculate as yours, but it was still a MASSIVE achievement for me. Also I can't ever comment on how long you take again. Mine took 4 years and went through at least 4 changes in parts. Thanks for the informative, inspirational, and motivational videos Jay.
@@G-Unit1111 Yeah, it ain't cheap by any stretch... especially those damn fittings are so expensive depending on your loop design. I feel like I kept mine pretty "simple" but even still. I really enjoyed the build and the bending of the tubes though!
@@R1Armadill0 this... Actually just (almost) finished my second hardtubing build... Think I spend like $150 dollars on fittings... and that's for the fittings I didn't already have from my last build... Also... Jay's talk about having build the computer 5 times by the end... I hear him... I had so many "back and forths" with this build, it's insane. Even with planning, my "route" changed like 4 times... because of me realizing AFTER I had almost assembled everything, that something didn't fit where I thought it would. And after that I had some issues with fan motors being noisy, so I had to get them out... with the top 2 screws being behind a different radiator... and... fan-cables being the first thing I tugged away, because "I'm never touching those again" :( And now... I'm still not done... only just got the replacement fans (and tested that the motor isn't noisy), and... my GPU is still on air, as I wanna test it throughly, before tearing it apart to put it under water, voiding my warranty.
@@LordCrisp Hard tubing was exactly what I done, and I almost regret it too. First time custom loop going straight to tube bending was really sink or swim and I almost drowned lmao. I think I spilt fluid at least 3 times finding the leak, rerouting tubes, and losing my ever loving CRAP trying to stop these leaks 🤣 There's at least two tubes that I would want to re-bend, but now that I've got a final product after 4 years, I'm just settling with the imperfections. One of my runs had to be supported by hanging fishing line from the top rad, one run seriously needs either an offset fitting or a 45 bend to look parallel to the side panel glass, and the final bend was slightly short on both ends but isn't leaking somehow. Also I didn't know where to put my drain valve fitting, so I didn't install it 🥲 But it is still easily the best thing I have ever done on my own.
I've been watching this channel since the 4770k Skunkworks that was yellow. This is so amazing. I was also a newb PC builder and knew nothing about tech. Now I've been working in IT for over 5 years and I'm software engineer for a big company that you would know the name of. I can truly say that this channel has changed my life and it's so cool to see this build because it mirrors my personal growth. I hope to one day build a PC this gorgeous.
If i were to teleport my dad from 2001 to today, and show him this computer, I think he'd flip the hell out. He was a computer enthusiast then and was so proud he ran dual HDD's ... 300MB + 600 MB HDD's and taught me to use CMD prompt to install all my games. Him seeing a full blown water cooling loop PC of this caliber vs his IBM PC with that turbo button on the front would blow his mind. GJ Jay, awesome build. Your the reason I bought a Case Labs case before they disappeared and am the water cooling enthusiast I am today. *Fist Bump*
Been around since 2014 watching Skunkworks evolve and all the drama along with it, glad to see it back in action better than ever, amazing work as always Jay, here's hoping to see more builds in the future!
I have recently ordered a SMA8 mid plate distro with dual pump distro for my Caselabs STH10. from Daniel at Singularity Computers. It arrived in the last couple of days and the quality is excellent. It was ordered from the UK and apart from the Customs and Tax payment of £136, I am really happy with the product. I have been watching JayzTwoCents over the last 8 years and I am continually inspired by by his work. This hobby is not cheep but its great fun.
Always learn something new watching your videos. I have always used stiffer tubes and never thought of lightly heating them to soften up the material. Thankyou!
This looks great. Glad to see the SMA8 back in use again. The black insides do look better. And Phil - this was an epic, epic montage. You dug up some great music to go with it, too. I've already replayed the montage portion three times, it was so good. Great job!!
Nooo! That was SUCH a good b-roll edit, Phil! Right up until the record scratch. PS. that song should be the new channel theme song in some fashion. It goes perfectly with the new colors and 80s theme.
after all these years and yes ive been watching since the day you got that case, i love you brought back the "forever evolving pc" as it was supposed to be forever evolving as the channel grew!
You really outdid yourself on this! The raised panel for the reservoirs was very smart too! And super awesome to hear that Red Mist's owner is gonna be back for a new build!
That is one fine rig. I need to go back and carefully watch the build videos of this again, because I'm not understanding the 2 independent loops (CPU and GPU) yet utilizing 3 rads. Always over the top content on this channel with humor, which I love.
Jay, what you were experiencing with your 90 elbows is called Flow accelerated corrosion (FAC) and you explained it pretty well. The water is turbulent while it rounds the 90 degree bend and over time it erodes the brass. I do maintenance on nuclear reactors and use ultrasonic tooling to scan coolant pipes for exactly what you experienced. Very cool video and Skunkworks looks amazing!
Warming up the tube is one option. Another is a tiny coating of silicone lube spray. I usually have no issue getting the tube over the barb, but then have a really hard time getting the outside collar to thread down. So I use the silicon spray on the outside of the tubing and then the collar slides down and threads easily.
Thats one of the beautiful Systems I've ever seen. The oldschool case with the new stuff inside looks just amazing and the recoloured inside looks really good.
Skunkworks went from an old slow relic to modern and funky. Amazing how many transformations and tech that case has gone through and today looks better than ever, better than some other new cases out there the way you built it out. You should do a video of a timeline of Skunkworks from its first build to todays version. I remember this case in that small bedroom in your old house, taking up most of the space you had on your desk. Great job Jay,
Thank you for making these videos and keeping me entertained, while I lay, wait and hope to get out of this hospital bed, to build my own custom loop PC, that's all ready waiting me at home as pile of parts. Your videos have kept me going! I can't tell you how much they have helped me on my tought times.🙏
Just finished my third custom loop on my main pc a couple weeks ago and looks better than ever. Its gotten easier each time and ive gotten way better at it. Love playing cyber punk on it way more now too 😅.Thanks to jay for all his videos and work he's put in for people like me to follow along and learn.
you can take the side panel off to mount the rad it does screw from the inside but there is a lip all the way around so you can put it back just fine while the rad is installed.
I am here since the Nebula days so I sadly never saw a Skunkworks build when it was new. Awesome to see that bohemoth of a case in all it's glory. Phils montage was awesome! Sad to see that SLI / Crossfire is no longer a thing. Dual GPU would have looked insane (as it has in the past) but still, the RGB and the distroplate makes up for it! KEEP THAT THING ALIVE!!!!!!! pls... 😀
That looks awesome Jay!! I love when you show all the issues and how you decide on what changes you will make, but at the same time someone with all of your expertise and knowledge along with a treasure trove of parts, is the reason I went soft tubing on my 13900KS-Chiller setup.. I would never get it back up and running ha.. Again, Amazing results congrats.
Thats beauty and perfection right there, believe you me. I love it. As you know, imitation is the best form of flattery. I am going to TRY to imitate that build. Thank you Jay.

Beautiful build. I am sorry I appreciate seeing your struggles. It's nice to see l am not the only one.
i see all the 6 builds now but the last 1 is a mad house so much going on in this build

god damn Phil !! that montage was sick AF bro !!

Fantastic build as usual. Thanks for the sweet cinematic B-Roll too 😊 love this type of content from you guys.

Thanks, Jay!

Amazing job bringing back this now "vintage" case with up to date hardware. The vapor wave RGB looks really great. Phil did a phenomenal job with the music, shots, and editing. So hyped Skunkworks is back baby!

For me, This is the best iteration of Skunkworks to date..... Well done!
Amazing build, the tubing and double reservoirs look really clean and utilize the space necelý. The black interior gave it a very modern look 👍 And the fluid is a finishing touch to perfection.

Nice to see the SMA8 back in service. Crazy to see how far the iterations have gone from 3 way SLI down to just one GPU. Still a fantastic looking build.
The beauty of this build is only matched by the montage.
Looks amazing, love the gunmetal with black, and the nebula look, cant wait to get the courage to watercool my own build
Look fantastic great job team
Phil is still king of montages! Jay still the king of watercooling! 17 a-rgb headers and he still has his sanity
Best build montages in the business! Phil is awesome.
Awesome build Jay, I think the routing of the tubing, fittings turned out really well. The build definitely lives up to the skunkworks legend ❤
These are my favourite vidjos on the internet. Would be sick to hear from Phil more too! Appreciate you gents
WOW !!!!! not much more to say 🙂 The Style, The Looks, The Hardware ... all great.

that looks absolutely amazing. love this build might be my favourite in a long while
