    I can't explain it but hearing you describe all the support you had and how you cried when you crossed the finish line made me cry! I'm so happy for you! I love following you, you're a huge inspiration (':

    I’ve done 5 1/2marathons, and I actually think I’m ready to pull the trigger today to officially sign up for the Houston full marathon 2023. Thank you for addressing the feeling of getting done with a half marathon and feeling like another 13 would be impossible. I think that thought is what’s held me back all these years

      That's INCREDIBLE! 5 half marathons is a huge accomplishment and i 10000% believe you are ready to take on the full. Something i wish i would have mentioned is how much a mental shift takes place - half way through my training, 13 miles feels short in comparison so you will feel like 26.2 is normal versus the 13.1! Hopefully that helps give you the final push to sign up for houston 2023!!

      Well , being 46 for my first marathon also intimidates me. But…. I hear you on the shift. It’s funny how during half training, six miles felt tough at the beginning but then at the end it was like “oh…. ONLY six today”. Lol

    PS can you please share your training? Weekly mileage and what did you run your slow long runs at if your marathon tempo goal was 8:40?

    I am watching this as I’m about to run my first marathon May 7th and it’s soooo helpful!
    Your running account is my main motivation and you’re the one who inspired me 🫶🏼
    And the fact that you say being with your husband (fiancé at the time) helped you is so cute ! 🥰

    Over here crying listening to you talk about your friends supporting you and seeing them at the different mileage points. Training for my first full and am currently sidelined while I wait out a groin injury. Trying not to get in my head about it.

    Hi Nicole! This video gave me life. I could totally relate to tons of things you said! I actually just ran my first half!!! 🙌🏽 1:52! With that said, can you tell us your half marathon times and how you knew you could aim for 3:45 under for your marathon?

  • @votolatodiaries
    @votolatodiaries Рік тому

    That's insane!!! Wow, 3:45 is my ambitious goal. I can't believe that was your Goal B but you ran 8:06 or whatever.
