Cheers Jimmy, check out part 2 of my clint eastwood collection with the comparison between the two Dirty Harry variants, the difference is night and day.
Best likeness: Josey Wales, by a large margin, then the new Harry variant (those updated paint apps make a hell of a difference), 3. The Preacher 4. Blondie 5. OG Harry.
A mixed-bag for Blondie. Physique, proportions, clothing, box and expression are all great imo. The likeness is ok, the accessories - tight, and the materials: lack of diecast on the weapons, spurs, belt buckle etc is disappointing. In the UK, these legacy figures are selling for a similar price to what Inart are charging for the sculpted hair versions of their figures, yet the gulf in quality is huge between the two companies. While I'm happy we are getting some very nice Clint Eastwood figures, at last, it's a great pity that Inart, Hot Toys, Kaustic etc didn't have a crack at taking on such a genuine icon.
It's difficult to justify paying those prices, imo but the companies know they will sell them. I'm currently paying off a JND Joker. There are not many figures I'd pay that much for, but I've been holding off for years for a worthy Joker, and it looks like JND are about to deliver. I would imagine part of the agreement between MR. Eastwood and Sideshow is that they have exclusive rights. I could be wrong, I hope I am. An Inart or Blitzway Dirty Harry or Blondie would be great.
Thankfully they have just gotten better and better and I hope we get more classic characters in the future. Thanks for dropping by and watching the review ✌️
Got 3 of these...Preacher is still my favourite. Blondie & Josey Wales are the others i have. Now waiting on William Munny!!!!
Head sculpt on dirty harry is great
