I was just watching your video 1 minute ago. Perfect timing xD
she returns!
hi :3
Mama sheep is back! XD
The message in the video is good, but for me personally it just made me a little angry and frustrated because in my opinion at the end of the day this message isn't going to solve anything and is just trying to hold onto false hope that something will change, so for me I wouldn't want to see these little messages (and opinions) again since I'm here for entertainment, but it's fine if you keep doing it, it is a good message after all.
@@ednaldopreira Its her video. Let her be herself.
I can guarantee 90% of people wouldn’t have snitched if they knew they were going on public record.
The remaining 10% being Frankie the Squealer from the Simpsons
We are supposed to have a right to privacy in America. Why would the government doxx the people helping their program?
So?
Snitches get stitches
There where hundreds of people very happy to post their self-righteous snitching all over the internet, thinking that they will get praise
For clarity on the Shop Lifting segment: The vast majority of stores make it so that, should the employee attempt to physically stop people from stealing, they have a very high chance of being disciplined or fired to avoid any legal issues. That's why a large chunk of them, at least in the US, also fire employees if they attempt to physically defend themselves from assault.
Yeah its also not worth it. Where I live a store owner was killed for trying to stop some teens for stealing. A employee of another store was puncture with a needle that had blood in it. Apparently the shoplifter had HIV although I cannot confirm if the person contracted hiv or not. So I personally did not try to stop then I would just tell then we were gonna call the police
It's honestly crazy how looking back the Virus times felt like such a blur. Maybe beacause I was stuck indoors in a loop for almost an entire year yet I can't really remember anything about it
For us Swedes it was just a weird time in general since we never locked down, used masks or anything. Looking at foreign news was like watching a scifi horror movie or something. I remember sitting in the pub, having a pint while news were rolling in from central Europe and the USA with footage of entire cities being empty. Looked scary.
You mean the varus.
@gundalfthelost1624 Did your country take less precautions for the virus? Or was a minor part of the population infected?
@@reduwu7602 Sweden relied more on voluntary measures rather than involuntary measures. You can see a study on the topic by searching "Comparing the responses of the UK, Sweden and Denmark to COVID-19 using counterfactual modelling" in google.
I bought a bicycle and cycle away the year.
Bail is for people who have just been arrested and are being charged with a crime. You get held in a jail and need to put up money as collateral to be released, to be bailed out. If they were released from prison, you are very far past bail being a thing. Prisoners don't get bail. Removing bail means anyone, regardless of the crime they're being charged with, would be able to walk out of the jail before the cops are done filing the paperwork. This did lead to more crimes, and "bail reforms" still do. Because it's essentially impossible to keep criminals in a jail until trial, they're free to go and commit more crimes, and many do.
I respect you... admitting to the unknown and trying to find out more about it as best you can
I'm am extreme introvert and I hear you about the blissful quiet I experienced during that time. I think the whole thing made other people go a little mad though. I was already there and returned before the panini.
I love your voice, it's so soft and calming.
I worked during the “PANINI” where I drove to various vending machines, and it was quite peaceful and nice during that time outside of the paper plant. However, when things got back to normal, I had to deal with Karens all the time. I miss those times too Lila.
Oh? I worked at a convenence store through the totality of the pandemic. Not quite so chill and happy as your experience sounds, to be honest.
@@JohnnyMalkav Oh God bless you my guy. I can’t imagine how that was. I was luckily enough to be away from people for the most part during those times.
@@c-o-b-o-2010 Worst bit of it was the Great TP Shortage of '20... But, hey, I have stories for my kids when they're a little older!!
14:00 "try and unmask them" why would they do that, so they can get hit with an assault case? since the stealing was not seen as a problem by the police they would probably arrest you for trying to stop them especially if it caused a fight. so when these people have nothing they can do and are forced towatch injustices be commited knowing that they will faces no consequences they get frustrated and yell at them cus what else can they do?
14:04 assault was still illegal back then and unmasking can be spun as assault. There was a lot of incidents in that 2 year period where doing nothing to a criminal was better anything, because they would get away and you'd be charged
It is admirable and good that you did research on the prison release stuff, and I did learn a lot from that. However, releasing prisoners was not what IH was talking about. He was referring to people who were being arrested and then given 0$ bail, these were not prisoners yet, they weren't even convicted in a court of law yet. So someone could commit a crime and then be out on bail the same day while they wait for their court date. Also, I do agree with your overall point about life being boring and that's a good thing.
Hearing you say PANINI over and over and over is peak adorableness :)
Had to work through the Panini with Nightshifts and driving was so chill back then :)
Not just going to lakes, Canadians would get arrested for taking their dogs out for a walk, mask or not. It was BAD, and the general populace had no problem with it.
I realized after making this comment that it was Australia... but fact remains, people were arrested in Canada for taking walks, so yeah.
Yes ive been waiting for the sequel
If you unmask them, that's assault and YOU end up in jail.
5:13 Just want to clear Canada's name here, that.. was a map of Australia, haha
thank you for noticing! australia looks nothing like canada, so i have no idea how i missed that. 😂
@@LilaoftheWind It's all good, there's a very famous "Victoria" city in Canada so i'm sure ya heard that and defaulted to the one that's most well known ^^
24:09 Never realized that you made your own outro music, and it sounds so nice too!
5:40 It was a video from around the time of all the 'Nurses on Tictoc dancing' craze was happening. Something about raising moral while being swamped due to the varus or something.
14:07 and then they'd get done for assault or something. Trust me, a lot of good samaritans want to help and be the hero but are stopped because the law.
22:20 Honestly, a Will Ferrell cover of Happy by Pharrell Williams would probably slap
The black sheep is back🎉
We missed you too Lyla! Wishing you the best. No RayCons don't compare. A bunch of people reviewed them and they essentially turned out to be a well marketed lie
I'd be interested to learn more about that... do you have the names of some people that reviewed them? I bought a pair myself over two years ago, and I'm still using them with no major issues so far, so if other brands are better I'd love to know about them.
(I'm not saying this to be contrarian, by the way. I'm genuinely curious and would like to know more)
@@nomad6628 DankPods and Mike O'Brien. I use Nothing Earbuds version 2 and they're incredible quality (for the price). Not as cheap as ScamCons of course but still decent price
Respect for showing sources, it brought it from just a reaction to an actual discussion. I may be alone in this, but I think it's more entertaining to see what makes you believe what you believe, whether I agree with it or not.
Hi Lila, missed you too. Glad to see another React with the good ol Internet Historian! Good stuff.
28:17 Ah, a case of the ‘ole stinkbrain. The worst one I had was forgetting ‘refrigerator.’ I opted for ‘boxy cold thing’ instead. Not my proudest moment.
I love the internet historian's videos, and watching your reaction to it was really fun. I am really surprised by how good your content is and your input. I learned a lot about how the panini was in the US. In France we have other stories lol. You are a legend
The first castle shown was Anor Londo. The one in the background from the perspective of the inside of the office was Lothric Castle, and the High Wall. Both from Dark Souls 3.
1) IH is always awesome
2) Lovely reaction video, made my day!
3) Victoria in this instance was in Australia, not Canada
4) Excellent on you for stopping and looking up facts!
After thought, are you psychic? You always say what is coming up!
thank you for your comment! i've predicted things with scary accuracy many times irl. multiple people could testify! i'm a person of science tho, so the idea of psychics isn't very believable to me. once i started making videos and seeing it happen in real-time, recorded, over and over... i started questioning things. i've done tarot card readings for people and they've all come true so far. i don't know if i'd call it psychic ability, so for now, i just like to say i have a strong intuition. i feel like predicting things is a very human ability, like a 6th sense if you will, and anyone can predict better by learning more about the world and life. that's just my theory tho. it's the closest thing to something scientific that i can think of.
@@LilaoftheWind I don't have any belief in psychic abilities either so your use of intuition works well enough for me. :)

Always enjoy your reactions Lila! Thank you for posting!
Lila, you're the best! I enjoy watching your reactions because of the input you give. Hope you are doing well and to see more from you!
Man you are such a vibe, I love your content as it's very relaxing, keep doing you.
It's been a while! Glad to see an upload!
17:02 the Murd3r rates being up so high caught me so off guard, I thought for a sec that NYC only had like 20% of the citizens left alive.
Glad you're back!
33:24 Because Bars of soap are somewhat less sanitised than liquid soap. Due to it being more in contact with our hands and exposed to the air, rather than liquid soap being inside a container.
We missed you Lila!!! Love your reactions!!
We will never forget the great Italian Sandwich crisis of 2020.
Genuinely appreciate you looking things up to make sure you have the full context or correct information.
honestly i miss those days. i worked at a toy store during the panini and they closed it down for months.
they paid us to basicly sit at home and play video games , watch movies and read books. it was heaven on earth.
I apreciate you actually trying to do research for the crime /prison segment. Prety informative and a good outlook on not blindly believeing information , that more people should have.
Most people dont know the 13th amendment makes slavery illegal 'except' in the use of punishment meaning imprisonment. Quite alot of goods are manufactured with Prison labour in the US which is why we would excuse the least amount of most countries. Larry Lawton has done a fare few videos over it.
6:00 The meme is that in Britian you need a licence for almost everything, they even have, and i am not kidding you, a TV licence; as in a licence to own and operate a TV, Phone, Computer, etc (This is NOT the cable bill, but a licence to *Own and operate* said devices)
They have a licence you need to own for almost everything and many of them make no sense, hence it becoming a meme
You don't need a licence for phone and computer, it's only for the TV. It's still bs that it exist but the whole licence for everything meme is blown out of proportion. Still a funny meme though.
@@heyesphilip The phone and computer were listed among the appliances that the licences covered when i did a quick google search before i posted my comment, haha, but if it's not the case then my bad!
I just know it was something i watched a video about a long while ago and how you can avoid paying it by just telling them you don't have a TV since they can't legally check themselves or something along those lines xD
1:32
Mixing up Anor Londo with Hogwarts bothers me in a way I never knew existed until it just happened
Glad to see a new upload from you! :)
Great way to wake up on a friday morning with your soothing voice. ^-^

Americans are you okay guys? Great video Lila also you can use the read mode on the browser and it will often surpass the pay wall, keep them coming these are great 🥰
Dankpods did a review on the Raycons a while ago, he's a massive Apple nerd and bought them with his own money. Maybe check that out if you'd like- He's also got a range of react worthy content :P
recently found your channel from auto play while gaming, and ngl im subbing for your great opinions on stuff. super level headed

Glad to see you again!
Nothin like relaxing with some food and watching lila react to stuff lol.😌
Ayo? Lila's back! 😮
Here´s a good tip.
With UA Origin Adblocker, you can actually just Block all the Elements that the Paywall Popups consist of.
Works with lots of other stuff too.
And most Websites are so incompetently made that this actually just works.
So, yeah. I can very much recommend it.
Store employees could not just go up and take those people's masks or anything.
If they tried doing that THEY would be arrested for assault.
Yeah it's really stupid.
The virus had a great way of showing which celebrities were actually cool and more like everyday people.
26:48 Ah, so like Mr. T's real name: First name Mr, middle name that period, last name T.
The masks that were found defective weren't made in china, they were made around the world (europe, america, australia etc.) they were bought by china from these countries, exported to china, and then sold back to where they were produced at a mark-up. The part about being defective is because they were stored improperly in china.
defective is defective
@@MiraPacku Correct, I more wanted to point out that they were ruined by china due to improper storage, during a pandemic that originated in their country, because they wanted to make money.
@@toriaoi1695 China beats the US at capitalism, now that's the sign of the appcalypse incoming...or the fall of the American empire...
I feel a slight sense of sinophobia lol. Assbackwards supply chains and profit-orientation no matter the context are a part of capitalism and not the sole fault of "China". I mean in germany alone weve had multiple affairs involving politicians and media figures trying to profit from masks.
China handled the outbreak poorly and frequently acted in their selfinterest, no doubt, but solely blaming them for covid in general goes too far.
@@animalchin5082 "90% of defective products are Chinese!
*China produces 90% of that product worldwide"
I really love your voice and personality to no end and I’m pretty sure the rest of us do think that as well. You give off the vibe/feeling of oh my God you are our best friend and we feel like we need to protect you at all costs.
thank you for your support and for watching! i appreciate it so much!!! i'm glad i could be part of your life and add some happiness / positivity to your day. ❤
Really appreciate the subtitles for the copyrighted part
i'm glad i stayed up this late. another banger.
20:55 , their new baby was Bjorn Hahaha well actually yes ironical, also how you pronounce it 😂
seems christmas came early bringing in a new Lila video!
I love that every time you are saying the panini that you sound like a harry potter character casting a magic spell
OH HEY! I've seen the American Politics out of context!!!! They're hilarious. Honestly the only awesome thing I've seen of American Politics in recent memory.
I will now forever call the big bad thing that happened a bit ago “ *_THE PANINI_*
Also Pewds baby name is pronounced Byearn. All one syllable.
Edit: Thanks to all the Nordic people for correcting my Americanization of Björn. I now know ö sounds like /ə/.
It's more like Burn with a J after the B. Hopefully he'll pronounce this swedish name (Björn) like the swede he is.. why else would he pöck a nöme cöntaining Ö just to prönounce öt like ön ömericön?
More like "yearn", but with a b in front
@@TheNomad94 or stern with a b
@@TheNomad94 or fern with a b
@@solmoman Being from a Nordic country and hearing our English-speaking friends say things like Mjolnir and Bjork instead of Mjölnir and Björk is one of the very few things in this world that can get on my nerves. Especially in the case of Björk, it's actually a pretty-sounding name when pronounced properly instead of like something the Swedish chef from the Muppets might say.
It doesn't annoy me THAT much or often to be fair, only when they mispronounce it with confidence.
Yeah, people that dislike Korone can't be human. BTW I wouldn't be too worried about butchering her name, she calls herself Ko'one after all, it's just a matter of remembering names in Japanese follow a very consonant pattern if it isn't a singular vowel. So Korone is Ko-Ro-Ne almost as if there is a period after each two letters.
Cool that you got ur own music
1:30 I think that's Anor Londo. Specifically from dark souls 3 I believe.
Speaking of those celebrities singing, why couldn't they have just made/commissioned a whole new song to fit exactly into the situation?
That's what we did in Finland with a whole bunch of people from the music industry coming together remotely for that. If anyone's interested the songs named Toivon kärki - Uuden edessä
I remember another youtuber called it the coconut panini, glad to see she wasn't the only one.
Yay new video! The Hogwarts looking building is a castle in Anor Londo, the capital city in Dark Souls 1 and 3.
Opinion piece by WaPo? Your not missing anything there Lila. lol
14:10 "unmasking" them would get the employee fired at the bare minimum. We have all sorts of stories today about employees being fired or charged with crimes for attempting to stop a theft. General modern store policy is to leave any robbery alone and do not involve yourself.
And back to the earlier 0.2 point, these people can't be recorded to commit crimes if the police are not involving themselves. This is actually a common practice in some cities to reduce funding for police because will result in less crime statistics for your city.
Important caveat on “crime rates went through the roof”: the US crime rate, while high, has been trending downward since the late 80s. It’s gone back up a little since Covid, but it’s still lower than it was 15 years ago. Crime rate trends are often exaggerated in order to justify more draconian policies and further militarization of the police
Doing actual research? In a reaction video? Admitting to shortcomings of knowledge? In a reaction video? A distinct lack of distinctive and divisive hills to so die on? In a reaction video? I guess I just don't recognise youtube anymore...
On a serious note, your approach to things is very refreshing, keep up the good work.
World wise cutie reacting to more Internet Historian? Count me in!
My experience with the panini is like "wait I do get a vacation? Lezz go!".
I had some acquaintances online who just stopped talking to everyone during this because they were convinced it could spread through microphones and text messages.
It was really cool that you provided another perspective regarding the prisoner release topic! It’s completely fair to ensure the health and safety of particular prisoners who need it.
"Damn. This isn't the freedom I wanted." 💀
In my friend circle we had another name for the varus. The "Coronny".
we missed you too lila 💖💖💖💖
There's a comment on the original video that made me about piss myself laughing. "This is real, unexaggerated history that I've lived through and it still feels like a shitpost"
The castle in the beginning is anor londo from dark souls 3
I missed you too!
The days of the initial onset of the Panini restrictions were amazing on my end. I walked the streets one weekend when most businesses were shut and couldn't operate, all our tourist attractions, and malls were deathly quiet with just bored shops attendants and nary any human traffic in and outside of establishments. We're a small state, so I captured a lot of our business district areas in one evening, void of people and cars, on camera.
6:11 It's an old meme/joke that you need a license to do anything in the UK (purposely pronounced like "loicense" to make fun of the British accent). It's because Americans found out you need a license to watch TV in the UK otherwise the BBC will sue you.
Democracy often dies in cheers and applause.
Reality is often boring but the consequence of a pandemic is nothing to scoff at.
It was nice though to have a 6 month break from work even with the BS that happened afterwards, where I lived.
Really like the insight in your reaction.
i agree, 100%. thank you for sharing your feedback! it means a lot to me. ❤
@@LilaoftheWind Cheers!👍 Your Internet Historian reactions are my favorite.

About the varus though, my uncle was let out of San Quentin State Prison because of it. A very happy ray of sun on an otherwise stormy day.
The fucking paywall for the washington post boils my blood. My Uni classes required journalist websites for topics, and i couldnt do my paper until i coughed up 12 bucks.
1:32 That's Anor Londo, from Dark Souls.
This video has some of the most based Lila commentary I've ever heard.
Our favorite black sheep girl is back 😊
As an employee of a retail pharmacy in the South East nothing really changed other than a new thing for people to whine about.
As a fellow introvert I can say the pandemic was great. I can stay at home all day, it’s great.
Now the flip side was going out was worse because as a bit of a germaphobe I was extra paranoid of keeping myself healthy.
