Any recommendations for knee pain? My progress has halted cause I only get a few good jumps before my knees feel like they’re gonna explode

Warm up, stretch, and do exercises to reinforce your joints. Lookup videos on anxle flexion with weights. These exercises help a lot, any exercise involving strengthening the ankles.
I’m no expert but it has helped me a lot

@@ates423 I see people complaining about their knees hurting all the time from jumping all the time, but for me that has never happened, like I do max jumps on concrete and for some reason my knees dont hurt but rather my thighs feel sore and my shins occasionally hurt. Do you know why?

@@dio8281 might be shin splints who knows? My step dad did a ton of running when he was in the military and it tore up his shins.

@@ates423 i was thinking the same thing, but after a cold shower or warm bath and a bit a of rest the pain is pretty much gone. So maybe I just need to strength my shins using weights

Look up the channel "The Kneesovertoesguy" on UA-cam. I think there is some very good information regarding your problem ☺.

if you want to jump higher, do heavy squats, deadlifts, hamstring, and calf workouts.

      Yes but it’s mostly explosive

That scratching sound is you not using the momentum you gathered. you're pretty much using 80% pure leg strength and only 20% of the momentum you made, aka you're standing vert would be very close to your 2 step vertical as shown here. work on your penultimate step (basically have your left leg slightly more forward and bend down more to make use of all the momentum you carried.

def help you more than all the dumb lifting you got to propose, its always those that can't even dunk with the best advice, the best workout to jump higher is to actually jump and even more working on your mechanics and understanding the push and punch is key too if you think otherwise I'm sorry cant imagine a world where you have decent bounce so stick to those dunks once a year and please refrain from advising anybody about a walk you ain't done.
