Howdy Ghosts and Ghouls!
I'm back, and alive!
I literally cannot get enough of this cotton batiste fabric, it feels so soft and perfectly light for warm nights, and throw my robe on top for the colder nights. If you want to see me make a witchy flannel nightgown let me know, I could always try out a different vintage pattern for making it, maybe even try (*le gasp*) pintucks!
More chaotic and cozy history bounding sewing videos coming soon!

Currently sewing while sick with the plague, and deeply appreciative of the phrase “historically adequate” 😂
I hope you have a speedy recovery! And I can't take credit for the phrase, it came from Noelle of Costuming Drama, she's amazing and does "historically adequate" sewing vlogs.
How has this not gotten more attention?! This is amazing and so beautiful!!! I love the style of the nightgown :)
this is my dream nightgown i gotta make it !!
wooo the black eyelet lace is so cute omg
You just helped me to decide that I definitely do want to start sewing. I will be buying a sewing machine on the first even though I’ve never touched one before and have no idea what I’m doing, gotta start somewhere right?
Heard “Crimson Peaky” and hit that subscribe button so fast because I need to be able to make this!
I plan on making some more of Edith's outfits soon! I love her whole wardrobe in that movie.
That's such a cute dress! Think I'll have to make one for myself.
Glad you made it through the plauge ok
Thank you! I seriously want to make a day dress with this same pattern since it was so easy to put together!
Love your glasses
I love this, they had a vintage Sindy nighti in the same design, sorry just had to say it, lol. I loved hers and this one too. Shame the doll one wasn't black though.
beautiful
Thank you for this 🖤
I must make this!
Is the robe one you made as well?
I love nightgowns like this myself. The black is wonderful! Do you choose to pink the seams, because of being a vintage method, or do you prefer not to use a serger?
Thank you! I chose to pink partially because I don't have a working serger, and partially because I'm too impatient to run it through my machine in a overlocking stitch. I will say that I have thrown my nightgown through the wash many times since making it and all my seams have held up, but being a nightgown none of the seams are under a lot of stress since I only sleep and lounge in it.
I really want to learn how to make my own ouji and Lolita clothes but I can’t find a single video on how to, can anyone recommend me videos (if there are) or websites that teach you how to make Ouji and Lolita clothing? Especially Ouji thank you!
I want to make this so bad but ruffled collars are my enemy
Some craft stores sell pre-ruffled lace trim that you could totally substitute in for hand gathering the ruffles, or you could omit them entirely and do an elastic cuff and a different neckline and I think it would be just as witchy and comfy!
do you accept commissions?
Where can i get the patern?
I used this vintage pattern: Simplicity Extra Sure Pattern 5764. Your best bet to find the same one would be on ebay or etsy, which is where I bought this pattern. I usually search for something like "vintage womens prairie dress sewing pattern" and a ton of similar patterns will come up in varying sizes. There's a lot of good vintage patterns available on those sites. Good luck!
@@HalloQueenie Hi, I'm looking everywhere for this pattern but I live in Europe so it's kinda hard ;v; Would you ever consider scanning/selling a digital version of it? Many tahnks
A black nightgown would have been historically correct during someone's period of mourning, as they were only allowed to wear black according to society's rules.

Black is always bad to sew
