  • This episode is not about my Volvo C202. I visited Sándor Juhos the owner of the Volvo Laplander Museum and the most enthusiastic Volvo C202 owner. This video is about my trip to Hungary to meet with him and to check his collection.

The first Laplander was made in Sweden but this 202 was mostly made in Hungary and was not as popular as the first one even if it had bigger engine then the first one

@@rvarsigfusson6163 You are wrong. The L3314 was originally made in Sweden and Norway L3314N. which was not Laplander, but Valp. Its big brother, the C303, was not a Laplander either, but a Cross& Country. All C202s are made in Hungary. Then 300 were rebuilt in Iceland. It didn't become popular (as you think) because it was expensive to produce. If it continued to be produced, and produced as many, it would have been as successful as the L3314 or the C303. So the C202 officially bore the Laplander name in 1974. When the Hungarians and the Swedes signed the cooperation agreement. At the same time, C303 production also began.

@@sandorjuhos1556 I usually call it all Laplander even the Valp...... But I`m not counting the 303 and that family with in this case.
So I did say the first one (the small one) L3314 was made in Sweden and the second one the 202 was made in Hungary.
I do think the 303-X is another family as it was mostly made for the military and official use and not sold to the private marked.
