I'm truly speechless! Yesterday I told my wife it would make my day to hit 7,000 subscribers by Christmas. This morning, I hit 7000 before finishing a cup of coffee. Thank you! 😁
Yours is a great channel and I hope this shout out helps your guys out. It’s great to see people you like and respect like you guys and toby get along so well helping each other out with parts and shout outs and it be genuine help. Thank you both for being decent hard working folk that are setting a good example for any one watching. 😊
I'll be totally honest, Squatch has mentioned you before, so I popped over to have a look. Your story is sad but massively uplifting also But it brought back some very recent memories But I've decided to grow a pair so you now have another new subscriber What you've done/are doing is amazing and I'm looking forward to working through the back catalogue 😊
My biggest problem is between work and kids I do fall behind a bit on UA-cam between watch minutes and comments but you guys always have my full support and when I can get a minute to myself it’s how I relax from the challenges off day to day life. Keep up the good work 😊
Quite frankly, your MM restoration of X231 is what got me hooked on your channel in the first place. I was slightly disappointed when X231 was put on the back shelf. I sometimes thought about abandoning the channel when you didn't get back to it but I just found the rest of the content interesting as well. Seeing that old iron restored and run is great and unique in and of itself.
The RD-6 will rock your channel, that’s for sure. Definitely looking forward to it. I also wished old Christine pulled better numbers, I really enjoy the progress on her. It does make me sad though, once the RD6 project starts we likely wont see her for quite a while. I did sneak over to the LOAL channel and took a peak at what they had and agreed with your opinion on them! +1 more subscriber!
I like to see mini Moline content. I like to see IH content. I like to see Farmall content. Please stop apologizing about doing caterpillar content just fix something and let us watch you do it let us live vicarious through your mechanical prowess
The Caterpillar content was what attracted me to your channel. I believe the first episode I watched was the pony motor R&R on the RD6. BUT, I've enjoyed ALL content that you've put out. I watched the entire restoration of Swamp Angel and then I went back and watched all prior content you've made. I don't care what you're doing, I'll sit along side of you and watch paint dry with you. I love the fact that your channel has variety. I especially like to watch when you get in an bind and then design and MAKE a tool you need. I especially loved when you figured out how to line bore the Moline!!
I like everything Toby shares, but Swamp Angel had me hankering for more on every video. I still share the track tensioner spring breakaway video when I need to explain 'mechanical bommb' (THAT REVERB)
I really don't care what you work on personally, I just enjoy watching and mostly I pick up tips for my tractor repairs. I like how you plan and execute your projects. I will give them a look. Thanks.
LOAL, sounds like to me and a dear friends. Is how we grew up, or dads would tells not go to far the needed our help??? That was the signal we was going to get very dirty!!! The werst one was a Oliver 90 combine hanging upside down from the hay rack and being lowered between the separator and the engine. To try and stay as clean as we could. Working in the old sheep barn. We cleaned the barn as much as we could. The very first it started to mist and rain by noon we ran the sheep (lambing) and we worked with sheep trying to help us. I will never forget that winter!!
While I enjoy watching everything you do I never see myself owning a Caterpillar or crawler. X231 and the Farmalls are my main interest. I hope it snows until June so we get some good X231 progress haha!
This is my favourite YT channel, whether you're fixing up Farmall's, Minneapolis Molines, or Caterpillars. I like seeing vintage things evolve from rust to shiny new paint and in good working order. But sure I'll check out the LAOL channel
I'm not clicking away when you do a M.M. episode. I love what you do and i am glad you started to pick up the M.M. restauration again. Keep it up and greetings from the Netherlands.
Clicking over in a bit. Bit of viewing history: Your channel was suggested to me. It was a starting pinion episode. So I ended up down a rabbit hole watching all the Cat stuff. I didn’t care for the tractor stuff. Fast forwards a few years and I’m starting to get back into car restoration. You don’t do car, but the techniques you use are transferable. So I inevitably end up watching tractor content and now I’m getting tetchy because neither tractor is done! 😂😂😂 Channel is fkn great bro, don’t change. Also, how’s the eye?
Antique D2 content brought me here, x253 made me stick around. Watching you disassemble a junk engine and pontificate about the cause of its demise, frankly, bores me to death. Watching you meticulously set up to re-create un-recreatable one-off prototype parts is infinitely more interesting. A showroom restoration on a road patrol grader would be riveting. That being said, I think that if you really wanted to boost your numbers, something with tracks and serious size would probably be your best bet. D8, D9, etc. Something big enough that even working on the thing is an engineering challenge in and of itself, for a guy in a home shop anyway. I know you've said before you aren't really interested in something that size - storage problems, moving/shipping problems, etc., but hey, just a thought. Anyway, I'm not planning on going anywhere regardless of what you decide to work on. Between you and your twitchy eye on one end and thezachlife beating in seals with a sledgehammer and working an engine lathe in a dirt floor shop on the other, I really enjoy the spectrum of available mechanical content you can find here. Wishing you continued success.
I am very much into old iron, no matter what it is. My dad had old iron when it was somewhat new. 😂 It took me years to figure out what one of his machines was. Thanks to the Internet I found out it was a HT 4 cat. I have very fond memories of riding on that. I also have fond memories of playing on his Drott Yumbo. His was brand new at the time. So new that they used his machine in their sales brochure on his job site. All old iron is good iron.
I came to this channel when you were machining the damage on rear end housing with your homemade line boring machine ( very nice) but stayed for the great tractor/ bulldozer content,
Hey squatch, I am going to get my CDL here in Oregon. Eventually i will be trucking around the country. Anyway, if the oppertunity presents itself, I will offer to haul your RD6 CAT tractors free of charge. In the future, of course.
Love your channel. You are the opposite of my rebuilds usually hahaha. Your perfection and im 100% reusing every fold over lock 😂….. but i do like pretty much all of your stuff including seniors old skidoo sled in a few vids and im REALLY looking forward to see the old rock crusher come back to life. 👍
The RD6 is near and dear to my heart and soul, did you know that these tractors made their way all around the world? My late father bought one in the late sixties in the south of Australia. Extremely excited and one of the reasons why I subscribed to this channel in the early years. Can’t wait but will. Cheers
Very exciting news!! I have been waiting for this announcement for a while! I have been subscribed to LAOL for a while and really enjoy his content! Thanks for supporting him!
I totally agree with your assessment of LAOL. Arron has made his channel interesting, entertaining, educational and humorous. I've been a subscriber since LAOL was in the low hundreds. The time and effort it takes to create a quality youtube video like LAOL's and Squatch's is hard to imagine. It only takes us viewers 10 seconds to subscribe, cost nothing and shows our support and appreciation for the work.
It has to be frustrating because there is some really great content in the non Cat projects not just in entertainment value but also in restoration techniques etc. Already subscribed to LAOL its a great channel.
I am also only here because of the X231 project. I like machines for which you have to make the spare parts yourself. Building a hangar and levelling gravel is not really exciting (for me). Unfortunately, I've only had a quick look here too. I promise to watch and enjoy every minute of the X231 project.
X231…. ❤❤❤ That machine and your work is under appreciated. Each problem is intense, and any mere mortal would have given up long ago. The education that you offer is greatly appreciated with some phenomenal problem solving. That poor machine was abused beyond comprehension. Hopefully, someday it finally gives you a bit of break.
I went over to LAOL and it is a great channel. That and I am even more grateful because he is based in CO about 150 miles from where I'm at. So, he is a great resource when I may need advice. Thank you!
LAOL is a great channel for sure! I enjoy watching your channel as well and to be honest I get excited about the moline content. I enjoy the cats but the experiment tractors get me hooked
Just subscribed to LAOL! We will watch from the beginning! We understand that your MN weather ties your hands in your content! We will watch you no matter what! We learn from Everything you do!
Those cold winter months can put off a lot of main projects, but meanwhile there can be other interesting subjects which we viewers would find fascinating. As an example, you could do a couple of videos on Caterpillar around the world, or Caterpillar building the world. There's the Panama Canal project, a video on how Caterpillar played its part in that big project. A couple of others, Grand Coulee Dam, the Hoover Dam, the Alaska highway, the Saudi Arabian oil pipelines, there were numerous building projects in Latin America, Africa, the Pacific etc. There is plenty of research material and film clips, photos (although copywrite needs checking) available. 20 minutes clips with intro, what kind of project and where, what part Cat played there and the Cat machines in the pics or film clip all explained in a voiceover. And that would make some wonderfull winter series of videos to show us what it was all about. Thanks.🌿
Seconded. Aaron’s channel is very entertaining and informative. Great editing. I’ve been a member over there for awhile. Thanks for getting the word out. In other news, I have a few RD6 parts tractors. Mostly complete. Complete wrecks that is. Keep this in mind if you should need any parts.
The MM is why I came here and the Cat stuff is a bonus. I guess because my neighbor had an old MM as I was growing up made me become fond of them. And the LAOL channel I have been watching them already!!!!
Can’t wait for the the rehabilitation of the RD6. And yes I have been watching LAOL. I have a an 1937 RD4 . So watching them rebuild there tractor is fun to watch!
I started watching when an old RD6 video popped up randomly. Then , I love the MM content. Those prototype tractors are extremely interesting to me. Also, I would Consider myself a FarmAll guy so I like seeing that to. I don’t live on a farm or even have any land. I just love tractors. Always have. Thanks for the entertainment Toby. I appreciate it.
I think I first came across your channel when you first started on x231. No matter what the project I haven’t missed an episode. I’ve been equally interested in every project. After watching one I’m anxious for the next! Keep em coming!
I’m excited for some more X231 content! That’s what brought me to your channel and I’m so appreciative of your attention to detail and your approach to working on everything!
That was easy!! Each morning I pop in with my first cup of coffee to see if there is anything on your OR LAOL's channel. You both are the best that's out there. Trust me....if either of you were just making paper airplanes, I'd still love it!! You guys are the most entertaining!! God Bless!!
I can’t believe X-231 isn’t the tops in views on the channel but I’m a tractor guy more than a crawler guy. She’s a one of a kind, destroyed by shrapnel and shows your amazing fabricating and engineering skill. I do love the Cat story and your ability to turn rusting hulks back into beautiful machines. I’m also a big IH fan and enjoy your work on them too. Looking forward to seeing RD-6 coming back to life. Love this channel.
I am one of those that enjoy your Caterpillar videos most of all, but I have watched all your videos to date, and that’s OK. You still have to finish the Farmall and keep the farm going. When is Senior going to get into his D2, that will be fun too. Thanks for the video.
I'm here for the repair content and not concerned on what is being fixed. I like to watch people repair things as I spent my work life doing the same, but sometimes like on this channel you get to watch someone do not just a repair but a reconstruction to spec. I enjoy watching a master at work. Anyway after you hear the sound of an RD6 pulling some stumps around you will keep coming back to the channel hoping to hear it again. 😉😎 I already am a sub on the LAOL channel and agree with everything you said about their channel. I was overjoyed that Aaron got Big Stripes back. 👍😊
The family interaction is a good bit of the reason that I enjoy watching this channel. We need a world where more fathers and sons enjoy each other and enjoy working together like you and your dad. I'm continuing to pray that you and your dad won't be the last generation of this in your family.
Its funny i was looking for that D2 with the rubber pad tracks you talked about awhile ago and ran across LAOL and was hooked immediately! Whats funny about that is you posting a video about them about 3 days after i subscribed to them 😂
Hey Squatch, 3 things: 1. Your opening scene of “Ol 134” (the TWENTY on the rock feature), the Red Shed in the background and the snow, is nothing less than a perfect Christmas Card photo. Nice work. 2. It’s all your fault. I have loved CATERPILLARS since I was a kid. Never dreamed of owning one. Now, thanks to you, I’m the proud owner of a 2 TON, I rescued from 30 years of abandonment. Thank you. 3. I love all kinds of vintage tractors. I appreciate a little variety as you have offered in your content. My $.02 Whitney from CA
I am subscribed to laol i enjoy their videos 😊😊😊i can only wish to have my dream shop, i do all my work out side in the elements , but i am thankful for what I have, and love working on old stuff
Brother, you just keep doin what you do. I enjoy all of your content, especially when you include Sr in the vids. I’ve been an LAOL subscriber for over a year now. I was initially attracted to him not as much for his content as that we both share the same loss. The loss of a child. Watching him navigate through those open wounds has helped me to heal some of mine. Peace! Keep up the good work!
The cat stuff is cool, but I'd watch you rebuild a hoover. I work in a small jobber shop, right now I have splined shafts to cut, worm gear crown clutch sets to make, involute drive couplings for paper plant take up rolls and a tuning machine for a 1800's Italian string bass to match, most things interest me.
Squatch, while I originally came for the caterpillar content (I wish I could put a D2 in my own garage, but I'm a city slicker) I stayed for the rest of the content. I watch every one of your videos, and I sincerely look forward to the day I get to see X231 get into paint, and fire up for the first time! thanks for all your hard work. I am already subbed to kyles channel as well!
Way too late I’m already subscribed over on LAOL. I’m working on a kickstarter for one of my 9Ks. 🤣😂🤣 yeah a kickstarter for the pony. Thanks bud for the video. In the spring I was thinking 🤔 of doing maintenance on my motor grader circle ⭕️ and moldboard. Are you going to be doing some work on your Auto Patrols soon.
Toby, I'm an IH guy as evidenced by my avatar, but I enjoy anything tractor, including MM and X231. Not so much CAT, but I enjoy watching your content regardless. Looking forward to your winter series!
Big fan of all your content but really itching to see some more 231 progress 👍🏻 I think once you get some bright MM yellow paint flying on it the viewing might pick up! Keep up the good work!
I personally enjoy everything you put out for content. The amount of knowledge you hand out is top notch. I will enjoy the rd6 content because that monster engine sounds cool. I like the x231 for the problem solving it requires
Greetings from Finland, from a guy who knows just about nothing of tractors or crawlers. I watch all your videos from cooking maple syrup to building a barn, just because you make such good videos. Really good content, no matter what the subject is. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
Come on Toby. I need some X231 videos. The Caterpillar content may be king for a lot of people but for me, X231 is the queen. I can't wait to see that poor abused Minnie back up and running.
1:23 keep in mind that disassembly of things is a very popular subject. Has been from day one (i'm one of the early adopters of this site). One of the first "viral" videos on this was someone making a disassembly list video to the tune of classical music. It hit almost a thousand views and had 5 stars with 400 or so ratings in the first week. People went nuts about it then as they do now. :))
I love X-231! Matter of fact I have enjoyed every video you have uploaded .. from Farmall - Caterpillar, Shed and X231 .. your channel is a true highlight in my stressful work days ! :)
I love the content of this channel no matter what... Yes, I came hooked by the CAT stuff, but everything you publish here is great quality and highly instructive, so I'll keep watching no matter what way you decide to go... THAT SAID: it will be great to see that RD6 worked on!! 🙂
I watch every episode of LAOL. Great channel. I’ve been waiting for the RD6 project. I have an Autopatrol 11 here with same engine to have guidance for No matter what you are doing I watch all your vids as well
I love all the content. I've said it before, I came for the Farmall and stayed because of the Caterpillar. I love the Caterpillar stuff but would definitely love to see more Farmall. Thanks for all the entertaining and informative content. Happy holidays.
The Cat in the snow with the Red Shed in the background should be a Christmas card! Whatever you do next I will be here watching It's not what you work on it's how you work that keeps me here And LAOL have a new subscriber 👍
I’ve been watching them for a little over a year I believe. I just marvel who you guys have the patience to wait and see how it runs. It’s because of you I bought a 1949 D2 a little over a year ago.
I'm truly speechless! Yesterday I told my wife it would make my day to hit 7,000 subscribers by Christmas. This morning, I hit 7000 before finishing a cup of coffee.

I'm here for X231.
There are dozens of us! DOZENS!!!
Definitely dozens of us X231 people!
I know it's not the focus but I can't wait for x231. Thanks for your efforts !
The RD-6 project sounds great. Will be interesting to see more of the X-231 come together in the meantime. LAOL has great content.

I have been with LAOL since you meet up with him at one of the tractor shows ,great Channel, good of you to help them out.
P
LALO
Same her since he met him then found out what LAOL means and went and watched everything they made
I like to see mini Moline content. I like to see IH content. I like to see Farmall content. Please stop apologizing about doing caterpillar content just fix something and let us watch you do it let us live vicarious through your mechanical prowess
Dude for me it’s the engineering you and senior are so full of knowledge. But what I would love to see is the rock crusher great video as always
Looking forward to whatever the content is. It makes me want to get back to working on my tractors.
Thanks for sending me to LAOL - he is a very entertaining and interesting chap.

Thanks so much for LAOl! The Cat content is great and well done, but the back story is very special indeed. What special person he is.
I'm not clicking away when you do a M.M. episode. I love what you do and i am glad you started to pick up the M.M. restauration again. Keep it up and greetings from the Netherlands.
I found LAOL a little while ago and they are every bit as good as you say. The obvious love they share for antique machinery is a delight to watch.
Clicking over in a bit.
Bit of viewing history:

LAOL channel has been on my watch list for a while now. Very good content right down to part numbers. The "Lefty Project" is worth the binge watch.

X-231 is BACK BABY! YAYYYYY! I really do hope to see that thing chug back to life!
Subscribed to the LALO channel, checked it out, looks interesting.
LAOL popped up on my feed shortly after they started. Been one of my favorites when you delve off on wheeled machines.
I got hooked on this channel because of X231, but enjoyed J51113 and the Farmalls also.
I've been watching LAOL ever since you had a chat with him during a summer tractor show.
I went over to LAOL and it is a great channel. That and I am even more grateful because he is based in CO about 150 miles from where I'm at. So, he is a great resource when I may need advice. Thank you!
Thanks for the help! Aaron texted me this morning and told me we had hit the 10K subscriber goal! :-)
My dad had an RD7 that pulled a scraper pan. We have some old my movies without sound from the late 1960's so your rebuild of this will be wonderful.
Sounds cool could you share them
Thanks for the heads up for LAOL I have seen them and do also enjoy their content I believe I caught them when they were assembling their D2 and D4
LAOL is a great channel for sure! I enjoy watching your channel as well and to be honest I get excited about the moline content. I enjoy the cats but the experiment tractors get me hooked
already watching LAOL!! I love those guys! "The Cleaner" and 'Big Stipes" are my favorites! YES we should all watch them!!

Top channel!!
I have been watching them for a while and agree they are doing a great job.
Definitely love LAOL channel. Been watching for the last month or 2. Excellent content. Can't wait to see those tracks freed up and back on old Lefty!
That was easy!! Each morning I pop in with my first cup of coffee to see if there is anything on your OR LAOL's channel. You both are the best that's out there. Trust me....if either of you were just making paper airplanes, I'd still love it!! You guys are the most entertaining!! God Bless!!
I subscribed to your channel to watch rebuilding of any machine it started with the X231 project that and your in Minnesota also
X231, YAY!
Long time LAOL subscriber, can recommend this to my followers and friends. The narrow RD6 rebuild will be epic in 2025.
I already am a sub on the LAOL channel and agree with everything you said about their channel. I was overjoyed that Aaron got Big Stripes back. 👍😊
The family interaction is a good bit of the reason that I enjoy watching this channel. We need a world where more fathers and sons enjoy each other and enjoy working together like you and your dad. I'm continuing to pray that you and your dad won't be the last generation of this in your family.
yay for Hi-way Yellow lol. keep up the good work and I will keep watching.
Its funny i was looking for that D2 with the rubber pad tracks you talked about awhile ago and ran across LAOL and was hooked immediately! Whats funny about that is you posting a video about them about 3 days after i subscribed to them 😂
I've been waiting on X231, so much more drama than other builds.
Hey Squatch,
3 things:
My $.02

Way too late
I’m already subscribed over on LAOL.
I’m working on a kickstarter for one of my 9Ks. 🤣😂🤣 yeah a kickstarter for the pony.
Thanks bud for the video.
In the spring I was thinking 🤔 of doing maintenance on my motor grader circle
⭕️ and moldboard.
Are you going to be doing some work on your Auto Patrols soon.
X231 is my favorite
Toby, I'm an IH guy as evidenced by my avatar, but I enjoy anything tractor, including MM and X231. Not so much CAT, but I enjoy watching your content regardless. Looking forward to your winter series!
I kinda love the mix of brands being worked on, the crawler stuff is what I enjoy regardless the brand
Big fan of all your content but really itching to see some more 231 progress 👍🏻 I think once you get some bright MM yellow paint flying on it the viewing might pick up! Keep up the good work!
I have to say I've stumbled onto them already and I've been a subscriber to LAOL for a month or more.
I went to subscribe to them and low and behold I'm already subbed from the antique hit n miss engine content 😅
Understood Cat content is king but I'm a Farmall guy aswell and I like the variety aswell but you do you we'll support what ever you do👍
LAOL, channel is great and the are about 2 hours North of me in Colorado, I like it!
Can’t wait to get back to the Cat work although I do enjoy the IH stuff too thank you for all the hard work 👍
X231 is why i subscribed, still my favorite but the cats are cool too. Not even a MM guy but that tractor has my attention
Come on Toby. I need some X231 videos. The Caterpillar content may be king for a lot of people but for me, X231 is the queen. I can't wait to see that poor abused Minnie back up and running.
I've been watching LAOL for a long time now. You are correct that we need to give all the support that they, and you deserve.
LAOL is probably my favorite cat channel.
I have been a subscriber with them for a while now and also enjoy their content just like I do yours and I agree with you to support them as well
I watch every episode of LAOL. Great channel. I’ve been waiting for the RD6 project. I have an Autopatrol 11 here with same engine to have guidance for
No matter what you are doing I watch all your vids as well
I love all the content.
Whatever you do next I will be here watching
It's not what you work on it's how you work that keeps me here
And LAOL have a new subscriber 👍
And I got hooked on this channel because of X253 too. I'd love to see her finished.
I’ve been watching them for a little over a year I believe. I just marvel who you guys have the patience to wait and see how it runs. It’s because of you I bought a 1949 D2 a little over a year ago.
I enjoy all the content, variety is the spice of life.
Ohh a new channel to binge watch for hours. They definitely have great content. I'll gladly sub to them.
