  • Narcissists are unaware of their unconscious motivations - but are in full control of their actions and choices. They can tell right from wrong - they just don't care. Narcissistic abuse needs to be criminalized so as to deter narcissists from harming people.

I will point out to you that you are the one generalizing if you believe that those that are in position of power in society are all well educated and that the others are all poorly educated. 🤷 Also education is not an absolute indicator of intelligence. I'm university educated, but I've met people that have not even finished high school, but are more intelligent than a lot of my colleagues. Access to good education and different positions in society are not based entirely on an individual's merits, but they are the result of a multitude of factors. 🤷 Unfortunately to many people are brainwashed into narcisism, using that fair tale that "it's all your doing"

      @@Starfish125 I get your point.
What I said is referring to the whole world about people in power. In my country alone, a big number of politicians got their educational degrees in fraudulent ways.
I got colleges in University that got high standard educational degrees, they are officially recognized to be engineers, but... but they don't have at least the basic knowledge necessary. They don't know technical drawing, and yet they have an official document that says they are specialists in that field 🤷
I'm sure that in all parts of the world this kind of thing happens more or less often.
So the point is that getting a degree is not the same as deserving it and being well educated.
My belief is that people should not be judged on anything else than how they actually are. Nobody should let things like social status, wealth, color, sex, degrees and so on, to cloud their perception and judgment about others.
And regarding politicians, we should all be aware that they focus on educating themselves with the intention to build an image for themselves not for authentic interest. They study more than anything else, how to persuade, make themselves liked and other similar directions for study. Practically they learn how to make people think they are well educated rather than actually become well educated.
I'm sorry, but for example in the USA a body bilder became governor of a state. 🤷 In my country totally morons bad actors and old stupid musicians, that don't even master their own native language, are in parlament making laws for almost 20 mil people. 🤷
There is no objective evidence for me to believe that politicians are in general well educated. 🤷 Many of them might have degrees that they don't actually deserve at all, wich is even worst.

This really hits the nail on the head that it isn't about whether someone meets this or that diagnostic criteria for a disorder, or about the term narcissist. The question is "what are they doing?" and "are they harming?" In this context I think the term "narcissism" and related terms are terms that serve the purpose of bringing people together for productive and insightful discussions about a set of relevant behaviors to mediate that harm.

  • @user-jp1hs6sl3h
    @user-jp1hs6sl3h 18 днів тому +1

So just from the opening distinction. My thoughts and input on it to make it easier to understand the distinction. Is that people who just have Narcissistic tendencies are "groupies" or what are also referred to as the "flying monkeys". The people who are only doing it because it's what other people are doing. To fit in or to also benefit from it. The "if you can't beat'em, join'em" kinds of people. And to have Narcissism as the personality disorder is to genuinely have those negative intentions towards others.
Both I'd say are definitely as a result of childhood trauma. Narcissistic people probably had rough lives, but only as uncomfortable upbringings. While the Narcissist had a much more severe childhood that has caused them to be that hateful kind of person towards others.
People who are just Narcissistic also have that need for validation. So the Narcissist sees that as a way to control them for their own means. Giving them that validation they seek as a way of keeping them around. The Narcissist sees that as an opportunity of "if you want to keep getting what I have to offer, you will do what I say or face the same fate as the ones we target." So it's easier to go with the flow and live happy than to defy them. Regardless of the things you help doing. The Narcissistic person has to have that lack of empathy in order to continue fitting in. Whether or not they actually want to do those things or not. Their need for validation or the reward they stand to gain outweighs their feelings towards other people

Behaviors I observed in the last potentially covert narcissist I interacted with:
    1. Preemptively asserted a mutual friend on Facebook treated them badly which was likely an admission of how they treated this person.
    2. Constantly talked about how they had been mistreated.
    3. The use of fake accounts to go against someone and then following up with their personal account as some kind of savior when it was suspected the target was pulling away from the.
    4. Throughout all of this, feeling entitled to exploit the target for personal gain.

Sam, this is the GOAT. You are so smart! In your opinion, should you move far away to escape being a scapegoat to all of these narcs? Now that i am in touch with my intuition, gutfeeling lets me know. I am truly lucky to be alive from physical & verbal abuse, etc. Is their a safe place to go?

I know everything that you’re saying because it happened to me and I didn’t go down but now I’m dying slowly from what he did to me because his fantasy sick and I didn’t know it till way too late but he’s gone now and whatever little life I have leftto the point where I can forgive him, forgive me thinking that I could save him, knowing that his problems is cheaper than I could ever know, but I’m almost healed spiritually

We speak of intimate love relationships and the narcissist I would like more videos about being raised by a parent or mother with the disorder and how she destroys her children and yes they should be charged and go to prison. With no statue of limitation.

The victim wants the pain to stop and will do anything to please the abuser.
If this abuse was out in the open then it would be different.
You would know who your enemy is.
Instead the victim sleeps right next to their enemy thinking that they are the problem.
This kind of abuse is going to come more out into the open for all the world to see and know about.
Covert abusers days are numbered….For sure!
