- The 2024 Hyundai Kona grows in size and prestige, operating by Hyundai and Kia's usual playbook of giving owners more than they expect in all aspects of car ownership. The new Hyundai Kona has more refined styling with a larger, more functional interior and the potential to be loaded with options. You can get the 2024 Hyundai Kona with heated AND cooled seats, a power tailgate, and a surround view camera, all for less than $35k. For comparison, the very excellent Subaru Crosstrek only has a few of those options and costs more than $36k fully loaded--with a much worse infotainment system to boot. This 2024 Hyundai Kona N Line prioritizes sporty style along with some choice options to give buyers a cooler looking version of the Hyundai Kona that still has some cool features. Baked into the inherent goodness of the Hyundai Kona and its usable 25 cubic feet of cargo space, this makes the Kona N Line an attractive choice. There IS an elephant in the room, though... The new Chevy Trax equals the Hyundai Kona in size and space, but it undercuts the price of this Hyundai Kona by THOUSANDS of dollars. The 2024 Chevy Trax RS we just had (weirdly in the same color), was more than $6k less than the Hyundai Kona you see in this review, but it certainly didn't feel like six grand less car. Add to that better fuel economy, and suddenly the Chevy Trax RS becomes a compelling alternative. Of course, you could pony up a few thousand more and get the new Buick Envista, which in Avenir trim STILL undercuts the Hyundai Kona you see pictured here. Megan LOVED the way the 2024 Hyundai Kona drove, but would that be enough to overcome an enormous price gap? You'd have to judge for yourself.

Hello to you both! I'm having a hard time with Hyundai''s new design themes (since 2018) but at least they are original. Out of the 2, I prefer the Seltos. But that's just me. N-line is great but just too expensive. Keep up the great work!
That's totally fair since Kia's design language has been much more consistently beautiful and interesting. I think Hyundai pivoted to a bit too "weird" a few years back, but they're starting to bring it back to a more mainstream execution with the new Hyundai Kona and upcoming Hyundai Santa Fe (stay tuned for that!)
Too expensive?
Kona have 12" x2 screen, OTA(with powertrain update function), and update infortainment( faster response, it means, Kona have better cpu & gpu ).
@@rinbine2713 All true! But the prices have crept up from what was originally stated and now land in the low $30k range for decently equipped trims with the turbo engine
I’m in the market to replace a Nissan Juke, and I love the new Kona design! It definitely stands out, and the interior is 🔥 so roomy and intuitive. N-Line all the way though: I hate the plastic cladding on the other trims.
The Kona is a VERY good all around crossover, and coming out of a juke it’ll probably make you feel like a million bucks. 😉
