Hi, i just put buff skills in my prepare for elite (auto guard, reflect shield, endure, inspiration, battle chant, etc.). The only manual skills I cast before diving is command of charge and counter attack halo. As for the auto skill slot, you need to put auto attack together with earth drive to make it work. You can also cast holy light barrier manually for more dmg reduction if you like. Thanks!
If you're asking about my handbook dmg% depo, it is below 30%. It doesn't matter if you have high dmg depo. Only vit, def, ignore def, pen, skill dmg and pdi matters with Earth Drive. As for CAH, damage scales with maxhp, ignore def, pen and pdi.
