The most likely reason is because the "time of interest" is so narrow. I imagine that not many people want to play a Christmas game in April, or a Valentine's Day in October.

Yes, cause nothing says Christmas, peace on earth and good will towards men like Gloomhaven, Brass and Elite Sniper XD LOL I don't get why they don't have more serious ones. I think board gamers would buy them if they were not just light ones. Anyway, super happy to be getting Ugly Christmas Sweater which was highly recommended by Rahdo as a true gamer's game. There's also Patchwork Christmas/Winter edition which always sells you fast.
I have been told by multiple publishers that holiday games don't sell well. Could it be because so few try?
