I am just thinking about THIS exact thing. Thank you for realizing it for me, in an infinitely professional way. Really curious about new Revolt vs. Defy vs. Crux(aka Big Aethos).
Great video as always Bikotic! I really liked the hummingbird - albatross comparison as well, brilliant! I'd love to hear your opinions on endurance bike options in the market. I've been looking at Trek Domane/Giant Defy/Canyon Endurance/Cervelo Caledonia personally. Cheers!
Another great video. Applying reasonable, impartial and sound logic to bicycles. Who would have thought 😁 .... I'll stick with my Revolt Adv 0 from 2021 for now. Thank you.🇦🇺
Thanks for the video. I am really confused between this and the Trek Domane AL 3 Disc. I know one is gravel and other is endurance but if I am okay with either which one do you think is better in terms of quality, features, etc.?
Thanks for another great video! I have my eyes on the Advanced 1 given the Rival 1x groupset. The dropper seatpost is a neat feature but that means it doesn't use the Giant D-Fuse seatpost. Thoughts and comments on how this might be detrimental to comfort and compliance? I'm brand new to riding off-road. Cheers!
I just got that bike, and the dropper does make for a pretty jarring ride. I'm considering removing it, and putting in my Shockstop suspension seat post, or the de-fuse.
Thanks for this, I note that Trek did away with their stranglehold dropout at the rear stating that they found riders were not really using this feature. I suspect that might be correct for the majority, however I have played around with the rear wheel position on mine and settled on 5mm out from full short position. I will have to look through your videos as I suspect you might have compared the old Trek Checkpoint with the new. As a side note, I was talking to a rider who had a Santa Cruz Stigmata. He mentioned that he had ridden the Revolt (previous model) and that it handled like a truck. Not sure as I have not ridden one myself despite knowing a few people that own them but that is what he told me.
Thanks for the vids, great as usual. Just an idea, would it be easier to see the differences, particularly in top tube length and stem position, if the background was ‘graph paper’ rather than plain white?
I am 174cm tall and riding a M size Giant TCR Advanced Pro 0. According to the suggestion of bike fitting, I’ve changed the crank length to 165. Now, so far so good. It is quite comfortable with present setting. I am now consider a Revolt Advanced 0 for gravel use. But I found that I am between the S and M size. If I choose S size the I have to change the stem length, too. If I choose M size, it is more like the TCR in terms of total length of top tube and stem but crank length is too long (172.5). I was told that there is no 165 crank length for GRX-810. I am quite confused now. Which size of Revolt Advanced 0, S or M, should I choose in order to get the most comfortable long trip riding?
Crazy how comprehensive your review is however no discussion about BOTTOM BRACKET. Do you really think that the kind of viewer who would watch the depth of analysis you provide which would only really apply to bike nerds, that they wouldn't care about what kind of bottom bracket the bike has?....or any level of determinant of what bike they may prefer?
Great comparison but I dont know how you didn't add Giant Contend AR in the mix. It sits between Defy and Revolt, more hummingbird kind. I got one, it's more road bike. Doesnot have chip flips and number of mount points but I can insert up to 42mm tire in.
I like your approach to research to the biking review - it's quantitative, data-driven and based on facts and figures. Thanks. Please update your analysis with the latest race bikes some time in the future if possible.

Send Bikotic a bike already Giant!

Great comparison, would it be possible to get a copy of the gearing spreadsheet?

@@jeffthompson3095 really appreciate that insight! I ordered the bike but waiting for delivery as it's been delayed
Damn, I guess this means no new Propel until 2023, at least.
I love your videos, thanks for making them!
Thanks, appreciate your comments
@Daniel Hess I'll 2nd this! :)

So, Maxxis Receptor are hookless compatible ?
Love the detail. Thanks for the effort 👌

I have toyed with this idea - thanks for the comment

This is a really functional Valuable video thanks for sharing!
Hoping u make a vdo of the trek checkpoints
First time watcher. Really like the format!
I’m still waiting for the revolt 2 I ordered last year. Hopefully these shortages stop soon.
:(
GRX 810 on advanced 2, not 600, according to giant
Well, 600 shifters, 810 derailleurs
Cervelo aspero?

The price of this bike is revolting.
The advanced three version is actually $1,000, cheaper than any other carbon frame gravel bike I could find.
Uninformed comment - Giants are significantly less than other big bike shop brands
